Thanatos: Heart and mind made of metal. Another season had come and gone and now the metal bull was still alone as others prepared for a new coming family. Thanatos laid in the tall grass, watching the world go by as he sat there deep in thought. 'A family would only hold me back. Not like a female would like my metal hide any way.' He yawned, trying to find some way to cover up his pain. He stretched out his wings, seeing the holes in them and knowing in the next hundred years of so he would loose his ability to fly all together. 'If I live that long.' He thought weakly as he stood up, taking off into the air as he wanted to get something on his belly before heading home. He did a few laps around the plains, seeing a herd of deer eating and a lone stag by itself. With a quick dive, Thanatos was on the buck and had killed it with his weight alone. The deer nearby fled in a panic as the male dragon started to eat his meal. He took his time, enjoying the view and quite as he munched. 'Yep. No peace and quite like this with a cave full of hatchlings.' He thought with a chuckle as he ate. Edited by Thanatos, May 13 2009, 02:39 PM.

![]() It was a fair distance from home to the central plains almost having to cross the entire continent of Slezar in order to get to them from the Kukiron clan that she now rests herself upon when she needs to. Rain was progressing fairly well in her eyes, and she could see her getting stronger and better everyday. It made her both happy and sad to look ahd think back on it because she knew that she was already five years old, and although it would be a while before it happened there would come a point where she would move out from under Nira's wing. The thought alone scared her as she didn't want to be alone anymore but she figured by that point everything should hae fallen into place. Before she knew it she found herself soaring through the evening skies deep within the regions of the Central Plains as the golden orange orb of light in the sky was only a few hours at most from slipping underneath the grassy surrounding. She glanced around in just about every direction and still be able to somewhat keep an eye on where she was going she she noticed a few deer sprintin as fast as they could throughout the plains beneathe her. As she looked to find out what they were running from she saw what appeared to be a dragon that had been made completely out of metal. She locked her wings at a steady angle and began turning in the direction of this dragon. His metal-like scales reflected more light than any other sclaes that she had seen on another dragon before, and at one point she caught him at such an angle to where the sun blinded her for a breif moment. As soon as she could see somewhat clearly again, she decided it would be best for her to land, and she did so about fifteen or twenty feet from this dragon and made up the rest of the difference on foot, that way at least she wouldn't collide with him or anything to that assortment. You're an interesting one She said aloud. I don't believe I've seen any others like you in any land I had ever been in, but it's obvious that you used to live around humans. She told him remembering her experiences with them. |

He was gnawing on a bone when the female landed. All he could do was eye her, not sure if she was like one of the dragons he use to meet on his travels. The kind that would attack in hope of stealing his meal, but she landed to far away to be of any trouble. It was clear that the female did not wish to fight, landing from afar and not attacking from the air. "And what gives you that impression? That I've lived with humans?" Yes, he looked like he was made of metal but that was how he was born. The only thing that showed he was around humans was his one wing and even then it was folded to his side at the moment. He finished his meal, leaving only a few bone fragments. "Were are my manners." He said with a chuckle. "My name is Thanatos and yes at one time I did live among humans." He said with a smile. "That was a long time ago though, I highly doubt that they will remember me." The male stayed laying, instead still keeping an eye on the female. He might have given up on living with humans, but being around dragons was much more dangers. Humans made it obvious when they were going to attack, most dragons just did it all of a sudden. "What brings a fine female such as your self out to a place like this? Surely your mate misses you." |

![]() The answer to your question is quite simple. She told the dragon of metal as she continued to curiously look him over. The reason that I could tell that you used to live aroung humans is that you still carry their scent, for their smell is indesputable. I know that because I too had been around humans before, but not for very long, normally just long enough for lunch back when I used to be evil and not care about anything. She told him as she listened to him tell her his name. I am Nira, once know as The Evil one, or the "Terror of the Skies" until I had the evil spirits removed from my body. She told him as he admitted that he had indeed lived with humans, even though she had already reached that conclusion. He added that he would doubt if any of them would even remember him. It depends on how long ago that was, and if they had passed down their stories of you through their generations. Humans do have a sharp mind you know when they choose to actually use it. She commented. She then took in everything else as he told her that he was wondering what she was doing out her and then made the comment, that he was sure that her mate missed her. That last comment struck a chord with her. She could already tell that this wasn't going in a direction that she liked. I'm out here because I was hungry and was returning from a hunt. I live in a desert, and it's difficult to find plentiful food, and what did you mean by your last comment there... How would you know I had a mate unless you've been tracking me yourself... She countered. She wasn't sure what to expect, but she readied herself incase there was a fight. Even though she took a vow to not kill again, seriously injure wasn't killing, and if this dragon tried to so much as lay a claw on her, she would be ready. Metal huh, I could jusr use fire on it to melt it, or I could just electrocute him with lightening if he tries anything stupid. She thought to herself. Edited by Silvera, May 15 2009, 03:32 PM.

"Well, I am glad to hear that you are no longer evil. If you were I fear I might not be breathing right now." Giving her a smile. "Though, you should give your self a new title. 'Nira the Good' or 'Nira protecter of the Skies'." Trying to make small talk since she came to him and not the other way around. She grew defensive towards him, making him chuckle some at her display. "No dear fay, I have not been stalking you. Many of the females are taken right around this time so I just assumed that you had a mate. I did not mean to offend or get you mad." It was true. He just took a stab in the dark to see if she did have a mate. "Per say, if you did have a mate I could assume that you have young. Just a shot in the dark since many females long to find a male and settle down." He shrugged, a very human like gesture. He sat up some, more so that he could get away from her if she did attack since she was growing tense. "I have seen several purple dragons, but you are the first one I have seen up close." He kept an eye on her, fearing he might have pissed her off and that she was ready to attack him in a blink of an eye. |

![]() With each comment that came out of the mouth of this metallic bull, Nira was becoming more and more weary of him. He claimed that it was a shot in the dark, but for some reason, she didn't believe him. Something was just telling her not to. He said that he was lucky that she was no longer evil or he feared he may not have still been alive. I may not be evil, but I will still kill you if you try anything. She thought to herself as he then apologized for upsetting her and she had to aleast take into account that he might have been telling the truth. He then asked if she had any young, a question that she thought was a bit misplaced seeing as she was still heated, but at least he didn't assume anything this time. I have two, a young female, and a young male, neither of them by birth. She stated towars him. He then mentioned something about having to change her title since her evil names didn't really fit her anymore. Actually, I'm not even sure I want a new title. I don't want anymore to be held over me than there already is. She said starting to calm down a bit. I'm sorry for lashing at you like that. I guess even though my evil side is gone I still have a bit of a temper, especially when it comes to my family. I will do anything to keep them safe. She told him hoping that he understood her actions. |

He bowed his head some, agreeing with her. "As I can understand. I would have attacked the same way if the situation was reversed." He stood up some, stretching his wings, legs, and back before laying back down. "You must have your claws full with the two." He said with a chuckle. "I know my sisters and I use to give my parents grief so I'm sure your young are giving you the same." He shook his head, not wishing to remember those memories as they usually took him back to the day that his family died. "If I may be so bold to ask, do you live in a clan? If you do, have you heard of any threats?" He asked softly. "I often live on my own with the few other non-clan members in the falls. We are often on our own and hardly receive news of what is going on." He gave her a smile. "Any news would be good really. We already have one threat that likes to try and get us but thankfully it is to big to come in after us in our homes." |

![]() Nira listened as she heard him tell her that he would have attacked in the same way had the situation been reversed. It was obvious that he understood her position, and didn't want to go any farther into it so she let herself relax. He made the remark that she must had had her claws full with those two, that he and his sisters had always caused their parents grief, and he couldonly assume that they were teh same way. We've had our moments where we haven't seen eye to eye on things, but thats expected. There is nothing else in the world though that I would rather have than them. They are my life now, and my reson for living. If anything happened to them, especially now... I don't know, I doubt I could ever be the same. Not after experienceing something like that twice. I fear if that happened the evil Nira would comeback long enough to completely destroy everything related to what happened. and then... I'd most likely kill myself after that because once my revenge would have been taken, there would be nothing left for me to live for. I owe them everything because they chose to be my young. They were not born out of my womb out of one of my eggs. In fact... I have never clutched nor have I ever laid a single egg. Because of that I want to make sure that they stay as safe as possible because they have given me the most important thing anyone could give a dragon, a chance to be a mother, which is something I thought I would never get to experience because of my past. She told him. For once, I'm happy that I was wrong, and that others are more understanding than I gave them credit for. I was almost positive that everyone else would want to kill me as a precaution just to make sure that I couldn't turn back. She told him. she then heard him ask if she lived in a clan and if she had heard of any news with in the lands. With him being a loner, news didn't reach him muhc. He said he knew of the thing that hunted them but was happy that it was too big to fit in their homes. The Jorthians? She said quivering at the word. She remembered her experience with one of those things. I was nearly killed by one of those things a few weeks ago. The poison that thing emits, is unlike anything I've ever experienced before. It hit me hard, and it hit me fast. I was completely paralyzed within about a half hour, and my ability to fly was lost within the first couple minutes. My advice to you if you see one, get the hell as far away from it as possible. I'm not sure if your metal body might have some resistance to the poison, but I don't think you'd want to risk it. This thing is about twice my size, and I'm not small by any means. She told him. But other than that nothing else is really going on. All three of the clans are going to be gathering here within a week to discuss what to do about these things. Apparently The easterns have seen these things before or have at least heard of them. We've had a lot of easterns coming into the lands as of lately. I wonder if they could sense the arrival of these things. She told him waiting to see if he had anything he's like to comment on realizing that she had been doing a lot of talking. |

"Then do not dwell on such things." Giving her a smile. "My old human friend use to tell me that if one only thought of the bad, then only bad things would happen. If you think of good, then only good things will happen." He thumped his tail softly on the ground. "They will grow up to be fine dragons. They will grow to have a family of their own and live long healthy lives." He blinked at her. "Jorthians?" He had never heard, nor seen, such a thing. "What are they?" He sat up some, now greatly interested as he realized a new threat was here. "We at the falls have an undead dragon that lives in the pool. He usually leaves everyone alone unless you mess with him." He stood up more now. "But these Jorthains sound more deadly then our moving pile of bones." He looked at Nira. "When will this meeting take place? I wish to be apart of it. I might not be in a clan but I can fight and I do not mind dying so others can live in peace." "It does not matter if they knew it was coming, what matters if they know how they can be killed. If they are like that undead dragon then I fear we may all be looking for a new land to claim in time." A sour look on his face as some smoke came from his nose as he did not look forward to be ran out of a land he come to love and enjoy. |

![]() Nira listened as the male told her to not to dwell on those things then, that the more she dwelled on something, the more likely it was to happen. Or at least that's what he had heard from a human. He then told her that her young would grow up to be find young dragons and would lead a healthy life. If only I could be as sure about that as you are. She thought to herself. I've been trying to not dwell on that too much, but when it's the only thing you have it's a bit difficult to not do at times. She told him in response to his first comment with not really having anything else to go with on his last comment. He then questioned her about the Jorthian. It was apparent that he was talking about something else when he was reffering to the monster before. Mentioning something about a pile of bones. I remember him. I was still evil when I met him though. She told him in regards to that. He then pressed her for information about the where the meeting that would be discussing what to do about them would be held. To be honest I don't know at the moment. They just started talking about it the other day. They are This thing showed up in the center of the continent. So we're trying to think of a spot where everyone could safely get to... She stopped dead sentance with the sudden realization that they were with in the very area that it was, and if it had spotted them it would be difficult to escape. She looked and noticeed that the light from the sun had given way to a darkened sky. This isn't good. We need to get out of here.... NOW! Nira told him as she turned around and prepared to take off. We're in its lands, and with as black as it is, we'll never see it coming in the dark. We need to leave NOW before it's too late to do so. We can discuss the meeting place with the others once we are in a safe location. She said now waiting for him to respond before taking to the skies. She knew what facing one of those things was like and she was in no hurry to see it again. |

He watched her from from a relaxed stance to a tense stance in a matter of a second. She was almost frantic now as she said that the new threat was said to live here in the grass lands. He could only blink, his brain and body taking a moment to connect to each other before he stood up and spread his wings. He looked around some, sniffing the air before flapping his wings hard to hover some. It seemed they were safe, for now. |

![]() Nira watched as the other dragon who was of monsterous size as well like she was use his wings to push him off of the ground a bit in sort of a hovering fashion. She watched as he scanned the area to see if there was any traces of the monster that lived within these lands. It appeared that at the moment this monster was terrorizing somewhere else at the moment. Just to be safe she lifted her snout into the air to make sure that it's scent wasn't in the area. She at least knew what the beast smelled like after being hit by it. We are safe for now, but I'd rather move out of this area before it becomes unsafe. Just because he isn't here now, doesn't mean that he won't show up later. Nira told him as she tried to think of a place to go. Follow me... She told him as she turned and started flying north towards the Selicarian Caves that were located underneat the Selicarian lake and were only accessible by going under the lake's Surface. |

Thanatos kept an eye out, sniffing all the while. His metal like scales made him stick out like a sore thrumb as he flew across the sky with her. If the new threat was any were near them, it could easily spot a shimmering dragon with ease. "Is there any known weakness of this creature yet?" Trying to make some small talk as they flew off were ever she had in mind. (Sorry for the short post. Muse is being a pain.) |
