The rain seemed to fall endlessly as Frostica watched it pour down in front of the entrance to the caves. it had been raining all day, and the sky was the same color it had been since dawn, a dreary gray. The rain made the air cool down a bit, so Frostica decided to go to the entrance and see if anyone new would come to the caves of Suni. It had been five days since she had met someone, and she was eager for more people. Finally, dragons are coming to the caves! she thought happily. Perhaps someone new will come today? As she watched the rain fall on, she noticed a blurry figure out in the rain. She stood up and craned her neck forward, trying to see it better. Is it a dragon? she wondered. I'll have to wait and see. |

Morrigan was flying steadily towards the caves of Suni. It was pouring and She needed to be as far away from the mainland as possible. Rain meant people going to the woods and the falls and remembering. True, some were remembering happy things, but most dwelt on past suffering. All that suffering meant that Morrigan would be hyper for the next week or two with all the energy from it. Logically, since Morrigan wanted to return once the rain had stopped, she wasn't going to leave Selzar. The caves of Suni were as far as she was going to go. Far from the mainland, but still in Selzar. The rain was making Morrigan's wings heavy. She could see a spot on the waves where the sea seemed to part. Morrigan pulled her sopping wings to her sides and dove down towards the spot. As she neared, it was apparent that she had guessed right. There were the caves, and there, just inside the entrance... Was that another dragon? Made of ice? Morrigan circled once. Yep, made of ice. She dove down and landed on the ice just outside of the entrance. Going over to the entrance, Morrigan flicked her tail from side to side. Rain was alright, but today there was a bit too much. Would you mind moving? I can't get past you easily, and I really wouldn't like to stay out here for very much longer. |

As the dragon came closer, Frostica could see that it had black scales, as black as night. The dragon stopped in front of her and asked her to move over, a little rudely, but Frostica decided not to rude to her back. Here's some more room. Frostica said, moving backward, farther into the caves. Her spiky tail scraped against the icy floor, and there was a snapping sound. Turning her head towards the sound, she realized that a couple of spikes had broken off her tail. Whoops, she thought, I guess I'll have to fix that. She turned her head back toward the rain outside, concentrated on them, and froze many of the droplets, forming icicles that she fitted back onto her tail. Have you come from Selzar, or somewhere else? Frostica asked, lying down, her tail swinging from side to side slightly above the ground. She glanced toward Selzar through the rain, a large, dark shape in the distance. |

Morrigan watched as the other dragon moved aside. Morrigan walked into the cave and shook some of the water off of her wings. When the dragon asked if Morrigan had come from Selzar, she nodded once. Yes, I came from Selzar. It's not my birthplace though. She looked the ice dragon up and down. She was pretty, but being made of ice added to her looks. (She's pretty.) (Pretty different, that's for sure.) (Good one, sis!) (Be nice. I know that's like asking a cat to jump into a tub of water, but try. Just once.) (Fine.) (Spoilsport.) Morrigan looked beyond the dragon, trying to see further into the caves. Pulling her attention back to the ice dragon, Morrigan noticed that several on the spikes on her tail looked new. So. Do you live here, or further in? Morrigan shook her head, already knowing the answer. Never mind, that was a stupid question. Morrigan flicked some water off her tail, noticing that as the water was dripping, it was freezing when it hit the floor, slowly becoming a sharp, though small, ice spire. |

Frostica listened to the black dragoness as she said that she did come from Selzar, but it wasn't her birthplace. Then the dragoness asked her if she lived in the entrance or farther into the caves, but then she shook her head and dismissed her question. If you weren't born in Selzar, where were you born? Did you come from far away? she asked, curious. Then the black dragoness flicked some water off her tail, the droplets freezing into miniature spikes on the floor near the other much larger ones. One droplet flew off and landed on one of Frostica's back paws, freezing immediately and forming a tiny ice spike in the middle of it. Frostica turned her head and saw the spike. Strange. she thought, then reached out with her front paw and snapped it off with one of her claws. Then she looked up at the black dragoness. I almost forgot, what's your name? Frostica asked, adding, Mine is Frostica.
