Name: Altrurlan Nickname: Al Dragon Type: Western European Age: 13 Gender: Female Clan: None Clan position desired: – Desired Magic: Earth: Strong Altrurlan's earth magic only works on plants. Anything else, and she can not move or shape it with her magic. This magic also stays 'strong' forever Appearance: Al looks about the opposite of what she really is. Her huge, completely metal body looks quite menacing. The metal is gray, shiny, and smooth. A large spike rests in the middle of her forehead, and three others rest on each of her shoulders. Her neck, her limbs, and her tail are made up of segments so they can be more flexible. There is a red mark on her right shoulder that appears to be a winged snake curled around a cross. Her head has several pointy horns, with membrane between them that looks like slightly polished bronze. Her wing membranes look the same as the ones between her horns. Spikes cover her tail. Her head is only held on by hinges, so there's a chance that it falls off once in a while. On the inside of one of her neck segments lies a small seal where her soul was sealed into the armor. If a blow hits the seal, it will break and her soul will be released(she'll die, basically.) Her eyes are bright, white, oval-shaped orbs tinted with pink and with a thin brown ring around them. She is 20 feet tall, 40 feet long, and has an 90 foot wingspan. She is very slow, but is quite powerful. However, she can not breathe fire. Personality: Al is quite timid. She strives to see the good in people, even if it is proven that there is none. She wishes that she could keep her hotheaded brother a bit more under control. She tends to think things through more than her brother. She prefers not to fight, but will if necessary. She doesn't lose her temper very often, but when she does.... well, watch out. Since her soul was forced into her armor body, it is still unstable, and sometimes disconnects from her body randomly, causing her eyes to blink out and her body to become unresponsive for a couple minutes to an hour. She does not require food, water, rest, or even air. However, her soul can still age and eventually pass on. History: Al was one in a clutch of two eggs. She hatched two years later than her brother, Eddant. Her mother was very surprised when she hatched because they had thought she was never going to. A few days before Al was born, her father left them, but for reasons Al didn't know, and was never told. She got along fine with her brother Eddant and loved to practice her magic, her earth magic especially. She shared and odd link with her brother that let her sense his emotions. But when she was 6, her mother died of a slow-killing sickness. She and her brother were devastated by the loss. They decided to live with their mother's friend and her granddaughter. After a small amount of time they decided to explore and find a master to train them to fight and use their magic. They found a dragoness named Coclai, who agreed to train them. They underwent a vigorous training, and by the time a year passed, Al had mastered her earth magic and strengthened her other magic. Ed also learned darkness magic. One day, Ed came to Al with a book that had a theory on how to bring back the dead. Ed explained to Al that they could bring back their mother this way. Al was uncertain about the method since it was a theory, but Ed said they wouldn't gain anything if they didn't try, and Al did not object again, since she thought that her brother probably was right. They managed to gather everything they needed from Coclai's private supplies. They also had to give a drop of blood in return as well, so they agreed that they would do this once the supplies were gathered. On the day of the casting of the spell, Al and Ed put together all the supplies in a pile in the center of a faraway clearing in a forest. They began to cast the spell, and they each pricked the middle of their palm with a claw to let a drop of blood out. However, Al's claw accidentally slipped and she cut her palm open, dripping much more blood than needed onto the area of the spell. She tried to stop the blood, but the spell was already being cast by Ed. The effect of the powerful spell was tragic. The last thing Al saw was her brother's leg dissipating into thin air while she felt her own body breaking down and being consumed by the spell as well. She woke up in a clearing sitting on a stump next to Ed. It took her a second to realize that she couldn't move. She could only see straight ahead and watched as Ed woke up. Al also noticed that one of his arms was gone, even though she only remembered him losing his leg. When she asked him why he didn't have his arm, he explained that he had used his arm in another spell to bind her soul to the box made of shadow that she was now. A human soon came to Ed and Al, and Ed asked how he got there. The human said that he had been laying there until someone found him, and the human's village had thought he was going to die. After a little while Ed took Al with him to find someone who could help Al, but Al was more worried about how Ed had only two limbs to walk around, and she wished she could help him in some way. A year passed, and finally Al and Ed met the scientists. They wanted to work with Ed to give him prosthetic limbs in place of his lost ones. Al was eight. After a while, when Ed was still getting used to his “automail,” as the scientists called it, he brought Al to a suit of armor that he said the scientists created for Al. He molded it with her shadow box to make her soul fused to the armor itself. Al was overjoyed with her new body and spent a whole week just walking around and getting used to the armor. There were some problems with having just a suit of armor for a body. Her knowledge of magic had almost completely disappeared when her body was taken away, and the only magic she held onto was her earth magic. She could also not breathe fire. One day, Ed came to her and said that the scientists were going to let him leave and explore. They left in the middle of the night, and they traveled for five years, with Ed getting used to his new limbs and Al getting used to her new body.
