Welcome to The Dragons of Selzar.

This place is designed as a Role-play site where you literally live as a dragon. You create your dragon character, join one of the five dragon clans, and then you live it's life as if it was your life, and adapt it to different scenarios that are brought upon you by other users and characters. This place is a lot of fun and that's what everything is all about.

Come and Join our clan of Dragons!

Ed trudged along the dunes, his wingtips just barely touching the sand, the sun high in the cloudless blue sky. It was a very warm day for the spring and the thermals in the air were erratic enough so that it was safer walking, even though it was much longer and much more tedious. I hate this... All we've seen of this land so far is sand for miles and the heat's killing me... Why does metal have to conduct heat so well? He grit his teeth the sun continued to beat down on his red scales. And, to top it off, all this sand's getting into the gears and tech. This'll be fun to get out later. Sighing, he kept trudging through the sand, hoping he wasn't walking in circles.

After what felt like a thousand more dunes, he sighed and flopped down on the sand. Maybe it would've been better to try our luck up in the thermals, huh Al? He waited for a response, and when he got none, stood again and looked around him, realizing that he was alone. Hey Al, where'd you go? Al? He kept looking around, and was still greeted by only miles of sand in every direction. Great. Now I'm not only lost, Al's lost somewhere too.

Altrurlan walked on beneath the blazing sun, her heavy metal paws sinking slightly into the soft, dull yellow sand. She was getting tired of all this repetitiveness of the landscape. All they did was climb and descend the thousands of dunes here. This land is just all sand, grit, and heat... I wonder if anyone survives here? The thoughts ran through her mind like desert mice in the vast sea of sand she was trudging through.
The dunes rose and fell, rose and fell. Al tried to go faster, to catch up with her brother, but the distance between them was steadily increasing with every slow step she made. Darn it... I have to go faster!
A large dune loomed up in front of them. Al broke into a run, her feet sinking deep into the sand to pull her faster. I gotta catch up.... Wait a minute... She looked around her. She wasn't going anywhere, and she was up to her knees in sand. I gotta get out! She struggled, but that only made it easier for the sand to pour into the gaps in her armor. Slowly, she sunk deeper and deeper until the sand closed over her head.
It was quite dark. She couldn't see anything but the sand that had rushed into her eye holes in her armor. I have to get out of here... somehow... She struggled. Even my earth magic wouldn't help here...
She tried to move. The only thing that she could move was her right arm, which she could move slowly through some more gritty sand on her right. Finally, her metal hand breached the surface. She turned it, trying to find something to hold on to so she wouldn't sink any further. Finally, she found something thick. She quickly wrapped her paw around it and held on tight.
Suddenly, she heard her name. Was it Eddant? Brother! Help me! she cried, her voice muffled easily by the surrounding sand. She hoped he could hear her...

Ed felt something close around his ankle and nearly leapt into the air with surprise. Catching his breath, he heard Al's voice, somewhat muffled. Looking down, he realized that what had closed around his leg had been her paw and that she must've sunk beneath the sand. Hold on Al, I'll get you out, just stay still for a minute. You will have to let go of my leg too. Even though Ed knew that Al could stay under the sand for a while without physical harm, he didn't know how panicked she'd be, and panic wasn't a good thing. He moved over to the side, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath. He focused his earth magic on the sand, the magic enveloping each grain, and shoved them to the sides, making an indent about ten feet in diameter and seven feet down at it's deepest point, easily enough to reveal Al's head. He opened his eyes and sunk down on the sand, not really sitting, but not standing either. It was less likely that he would kick sand back into the indent from this position, and it had taken more than he would've liked to move all the grains of sand the way he had. Al, can you move a little more now? I can remove more sand if you need.

Altrurlan gave a sigh of relief when she heard Eddant's voice through the sand. Doing as he asked, she let go of his leg and felt her arm sink slowly down into the sand. Suddenly, the sand began to move, shoving out and making an indent in the dune. The sun blazed into her eyes again, and she hauled herself out of the sand, shaking every segment of her body and letting the sand fall out so that it would be easier to move.
Thanks... brother... she panted. I was just scared that you wouldn't see me... and leave me behind. She looked up and gazed over the hundreds of dunes. I wonder... how long it'll take until we get somewhere... She sighed and looked over to Eddant, noticing that the blazing sun was making sharp highlights on his scales.
Brother... Is the weather too hot for you? You look like you're barely enduring it.

Ed watched his sister lift her metal body out of the sand and shake the sand out. He smiled at her, glad she was safe. Don't worry Al, I couldn't leave you behind, even if I wanted to. I wouldn't stop looking for you, even if I had to dig through every inch of this desert. You're my sister. He turned his head and looked off into the distance. Only sand and blue sky. He sighed. I have no idea how long we'll be walking until we get somewhere. Heck, at this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if there is no somewhere, just this desert. He put his head down on his paws, angling his head so it only touched his non-metal paw and huffed. When Al asked if the heat was bothering him, He lifted his head and gave her a half-smile. Nothing that I can't withstand Al. Don't worry, I'm fine, there's just a lot of sand in the tech now. He lifted his right foreleg, clenching and unclenching his paw, making sure there wasn't any sand in the muscle system. Al doesn't need to know how much the heat really does bug me, it would only make her worried and feel bad, since she can't feel it at all.

Altrurlan smiled when Eddant told her that he couldn't leave her behind. Then she listened as he told her that at this rate of trudging through the seemingly endless desert, he wouldn't be surprised if there was no somewhere. Then he assured her that the heat was nothing that he couldn't withstand, saying that the problem was that there was sand in his mechanical limbs, making Al relax. So he's not bothered by the heat... Well, that's good. she thought. She craned her neck above Eddant, which truthfully wasn't that hard, him being so small, and looked for any other sign of life in the middle of all the sand and heat. But she saw nothing, nothing but this endless desert.
Do you really think... that there's no somewhere? she asked him. Because if there was no somewhere, we'd have turned back long ago.
She looked again across the desert. Maybe there's dragons around here that can help us. Then again, what will they make of us?
