Inferno unexpectedly flew here, just needing to get some shade, and afterwards, something to drink and eat. He landed with sound thud about 100 or so foot from the 3 or 4 dragons together. He raised his gums up in a draconic smile before folding his wings to his sides, laying under the nearest tree he could find. He let out a yawn before looking around, it seems everyone had someone in this clan thought the red wyvern.

He looked over at the small group again, seeign 5 little eggs, he turned his head and snorted, another plume of fire came out as his nostrils started smoking. He looked around, seeing no single female dragon, he'd been thinking about this for quite some time. He needed to get a mate, he hadn't seen his parents since he left them when he 14 years old, so he hadn't seen his parents in over 600 years. He missed them, but vowed he would settle down and leave his dangerous life behind. He continued looking around, the smoke coming form his nostrils more of a show than anything else, although clearly saying it'll almost burn anything that it touches.

The red Wyvern let out a small chuff, sounding like a sigh as he continued looking around the clan he's joined. I think I may like it here. He says under his breath to himself.

Alara walked around the tree, looking around at the business of a normal day. It had been a week and a half since her labor of the eggs, and she was already thinning out to her normal skinny build. Of course, she was still sore but at least she wasn't in consant pain anymore. Finn was back in the den, watching over the eggs as she got some fresh air.

That's when she saw a rather familiar dragon lying on the ground. She'd seen him before, but never really met him. He looked over at a group of five eggs, thinking hard about something. He looked to be thinking hard. She didn't have anything else to do, so maybe it was a good time to make an aquantice with the dragon. He didn't look to be threatening, but he was bigger than Alara. It didn't matter.

She stopped seven feet from him, giving him a friendly smile. She continued to stand, feeling a bit hesitant of laying down and being vulnerable.

We've never met before, I presume. I'm Alara, by the way. She looked over at the eggs he was looking at sadly. Is something troubeling you?

Inferno looked up at the smaller dragon that had landed infront of him. He listened as she introduced her self, Alara was her name. He yawned a little as she asked him if something was troubling him. I'm Inferno, called Inferno the Merciless long ago.

Her question has caught his attention, No, I'm fine, just thinking of how nice it must be to have someone. I haven't seen my family in a long time, and I have no one else, hopefully I can find someone in this clan, but my hopes aren't high, all the females seem to have mates already. Inferno looked up, the smoke coming from his nostrils having stopped.

He let out another chuff, before he turned his attention back to Alara. Are you sure we haven't met before, you seem very familiar to a dragon I've met in the past? He questioned, studying her carefully to see if he could remember the female dragon that stood before him.

His name was Inferno, and it looked like he had a hard life too. No surprise there. A lot of dragons and dragonesses she knew had hard pasts, including herself. He said how he thought it would be nice to have someone in their life, a mate to be specific. He said he hadn't seen his family in a long time, and she wondered if he was talking about his biological family, or if he actually had a mate once and his own family. He said how there appeared to be no more females who were single, but she shook her head.

Don't be so discouraged. There are many females here that don't have mates, I'm sure of it. You just need to keep your eyes open, be aware of the people around you. She remembered more of his words, saying that she looked like a dragon he met in the past. Her brow furrowed as she delved into her past, but nothing of his facial features brought a click, even though he looked really familiar.

I'm sorry, but I don't think I've ever met you. But yes, you do look really familiar. She chuckled softly. It's just so weird. Deja vu all over again, huh? I just wish I could remember.

His bright, royal blue eyes looked the female over again. Upon hearing her words, Perhaps, I'll keep my eye out then Alara. He yawned, the smoke resuming coming from his nostrils. He looked around again, before standing up, realizing just how much bigger he was than her, then the others around. He stretched his massive wings, folding them back to his side.

Yeah, I'm sure I've seen you around before, but, I can't quite remember where or when. The red Wyvern stated. His royal blue eyes looking down on the female, sniffing the air, I take it most females have laid eggs by now? he asked Alara, Including yourself if I'm not mistaken? He asked her. He looked down, and, well down, she was almost half his height. He looked up into the tree, I guess you'll be pretty busy when your eggs hatch, won't you? Inferno asked.

He took another wiff of the scents around him, managing to find a few females who, by their scent, were in heat. He shook the thought out of his head, before looking back down to meet Alara's eyes.

Inferno yawned, seeming bored. Maybe she was boring him out. Of course, she didn't know what to talk about, as her previous words seemed to make him tired. After all, she wasn't much of a social person, either. She liked to keep to herself most of the time, until Finn came into her life. Then everything changed and she was much more social to him. She could tell him anything and everything. But she was still unsocial to the people around her. If they spoke, she'd speak.

He seemed to sniff the air, his eyes wandering over her. She could feel his eyes bore a hole right through her, almost like she was beautiful to look at. It almost felt like he was checking her out.

Shaking her head, she clawed at the ground. Finn was her one true love, and no one else would steal her heart away from him...at least she hoped. He said how most of the females might have already laid eggs, including herself. She blushed, but her blue scales hid her cheeky redness. He said she would probably be busy when the eggs hatched.

She laughed softly, getting a bit uncomfortable. Yes, I guess you could say that. I'll definitely need help, and I'm sure Finn and I won't be able to handle our hatchlings... She chuckled more. Her tone changed serious, dream like as she gazed off into space. I'll finally be a mother. Grown up in my own way... Living with a family.

But who am I kidding? I shouldn't say those kinds of things in front of you, especially since we just met.

Inferno looked back down, Yes, I see. I wish you luck with your offspring when they have the red Wyvern said. The scents of females and their eggs are almost unbearable for me. I'll be seeing you around Alara, as I'm sure you'll be seeing me. I need to find a mate, soon, I can't stand being around all these females, its driving me crazy. The red Wyvern told her.

He looked back up to the tree, Big tree, the whole clan fits into that thing? The wyvern asked. He stood up onto his hind legs, folding his wings by his sides, almost growing 15 foot in height before slowly going back down to all fours. I'm not going to be able to sleep up there for a while, the female scents are driving me crazy. Thankfully I have control over what I do, even when my mind says otherwise. Inferno told her.

He turned around, going to lay back down under "his" tree he was under before Alara had came. He let out a yawn, snorting again, another plume of fire gurshing forth from his nostrils as the smoke starts to come out again. He looked up, before looking away. Can you show me some of the females without mates? I doubt they'd like to have a wyvern as their mate though. He said, Oh well He said, a little more sad than he wanted to.

Alara waited patienty as he spoke. From the looks of it, this guy was crazy for love. Although, having a mate meant that someone deeply cared for you and that you wouldn't have to worry much. You'd be able to have your own family, feel safe and finally complete. Since she ddnt know Inferno's past, it was easy to tell he wanted someone in his lfe, far more greater than a clan friend.

She smiled sadly at him when he asked about single females in the clan. That was a great question because Alara hadn't really noticed much of the females without mates. In fact, she didn't think there was a female without a mate in the clan. But then she remembered something, a female who had just recently joined the clan two weeks ago. Maybe he'd find comfort in her.

To top things off with a cherry, Alara smelled another female in the area, and this was the one who was the newcomer. Liara, her name was. Thr purple dragoness looked at them talking. Alara watched as she came over with a friendly smile on her face. Alara turned back to Inferno.

Inferno, this is Liara. She's new to the clan, so I'd like you two to become friends, meet and see how things go. I'll leave you two, as I should get back with my eggs. She gave a wink to Inferno before flying up the tree to her den.[color]

Liara sniffed at the ground. She tried to clear her head of the new clan smells. Even if she was in for two weeks, it still took her a while to get used to things. There was a putrid smell in the air by the lake as she wrinkled her nose. Okay, so maybe smelling the ground wasn't a good idea.

She took off into the air in the direction of the Tree, feeling the air rush around her while she soared to the ground. She had made aquaintances with most if the members as she landed next to some females marveling over their eggs. She looked at thr eggs, wonderig if she too would har children of her own.

But there was a red dragon near the trunk of the tree, along with Alara, the blue dragoness. Liara smiled. She could maybe pull herself into the conversation. There wasn't anything else to do, and this red dragon was a stranger to her.

So she walked up, noticing Alara winking at the dragon before taking off. This dragon's name was Inferno, or at least what Alara referred to him as? Interesting name. His fiery red scales fit his name perfectly.

Her smile grew as she tried to make a good impression. Hi. Well, yes, my name is Liara. And you must be Inferno?

Inferno looked up at this, "Liara". He had to keep himself from letting his eyes widen at the site of her. She was stunning, and she didn't have a mate, and to top that off, she was new to the clan. Inferno looked to blue dragoness, I'll see you around Alara. The red Wyvern nodded as the small, blue dragoness flew off to the tree and back up to her nest. He turned his attention back to female infront of him, he cocked his head as he stretched out his head and neck, taking in her scent.

Inferno smiled back to her, Yes, I am Inferno, called Inferno the Merciless long ago. Liara, what a beautiful name, it fits you well. Inferno was now doing what he was good at besides fighting and killing, being as nice a dragon one could be to a female anyway. He could tell that she hadn't had eggs before, just by the way she had looked at the eggs off in the distance of the other dragons. He had looked at them the same way, with sadness for he hasn't had them.

He walked around her once, checking her out you could say, as he sat back down infront of him. Liara, I understand your new to the clan, I myself am as well, having only joined weeks before you did. Might I ask what a lovely dragoness like yourself is doing right now? If nothing, you would care to fly around with me, I am going exploring of the territory, to better acquaint myself with. The red Wyvern stood back up, keeping his wings on the ground as his front feet as his bright royal blue eyes looked into hers, waiting for her to answer him.

Liara gave him a sweet smile when he said that her name suited her, and that it was a beautiful name. She could feel her cheeks grow warm as she blushed at the compliment, even though it was pretty simple. She watched him walk around her once, not getting uncomfortable as she looked at his handsome body. His muscles were strong, and she could see proudness in every step he took. He seemed graceful, but powerful. Not a bad dragon afterall. She was starting to feel something in her stomach, like butterflies swarming around an interesting specimen.

He spoke of his name, what it was back in the past. She wasn't sure why he wasn't called that now, but didn't press any further. He said that he just joined the clan recently, and she relaxed at that. She wasn't the only new one in the area, at least. Best to suffer with someone you know rather than yourself, she always said. He called her a lovely dragoness, asking her what she was doing at the moment, wondering if she would like to join him in a flight around the territory.

I was just looking around for someone knew to meet, so it looks like I found you. Flying sounds great. Better than going alone, at least. Where to first? She gave him a smile, walking over to him to follow him.

Inferno smiled at her, feeling the urge to nuzzle her but thinking that she may be taken aback by it. He couldn't fight the urge anymore and craned his neck and head down to hers, giving her a light nuzzle. It was love at fight sight for Inferno and he couldn't control himself around her. I was going to the Lake, and go for a swim, if that's alright with you? The red Wyvern asked her. Liara, I love the name, a beautiful name, for a beautiful dragoness. the proud red Wyvern stated.

His bright royal blue eyes gleaming as he looked down to her. This is what it feels like to love someone. I wonder if she thinks the same thing. Inferno looked down to her, she was indeed beautiful. The proud red spread his wings as he took off in flight, more of a slow, sight-seeing flight as that was the plan. He hovered up above, waiting for the purple dragoness to follow. He closed his eyes for a second, before opening them, a smile adorned his face in all it's glory, giant fangs and all. He looke down to Liara, Race you. Inferno called down, taking off in flight for the lake, not going as fast as he could as he wanted her to win.

Not aware that Inferno had just asked her to a race, Aries walked up to Liara, whom she'd met just the other day, and smiled. Hello again, Liara! she greeted the purple dragoness with a smile, completely unaware of what she'd stepped into. She, too, like Alara had almost regained her form and health from the birth, since two and a half weeks had passed. The only reminder left was a slight pain in her stomach and five beautiful eggs back in her den, currently guarded by Zil'caron.

She smiled lovingly as she thought of her mate, but let it slide for now. She only grinned when her thoughts flicked to Sarge, her brother, and how sweet, gentle and tender he was.

How's clan life treating you? she asked her brightly, smiling at her new clansman. Alara had really taken a shine to her, like she was her protegee or something, and she agreed. She really liked the soft dragoness, and hoped she'd stay a while.

Lists was about to fly when she heard her name being called behind her. She turned around, surprised to see Aries standing there, interrupting her conversation with Inferno. Se wasn't sure why Aries wasn't with her newly born eggs, bur didn't press her. Liara smiled when she asked about being in the clan.

I'm having an excellent time, thank you. Everyone is so friendly and I'm sure I've met everyone in the clan, except for this dragon who I just now met. He's very nice, I might tell you. Liara gave Aries a smile, hoping she would leave so she could have her alone time with Inferno. He was really nice, and she was happy to be around him, even though they just met.

We were just about to take a flight around the clanlands to explore. She hated saying this, hoping Aries would reject the offer. But it was only polite to ask. Would you like to accompany us?

Inferno turned once he saw Liara wasn't following. He was puzzled until he spotted her back down talking to Aries. He smiled a little and flew back to them. He landed with a soft, his red scales glittering in the sun-light. He folded his wings by his side, walking over to them. Aries, what a pleasant suprise to see you. How are your eggs doing? The red Wyvern asked, looking down at Silvera's sister.

He shifted a little, as he had just barely heard what Liara had asked Aries. If she wanted to accompany us. The red looked away for a second, before back at her. He took one of his wings, scratching his spikes on his chin with one of his wing-claws. He put it back on the ground, the soft ground making room as he looked back up.

There it was again in his eyes, in his body position, in his steps, that proudness that never left him. He sat down on his haunches and curled his tail up to his side, his bright royal blue eyes looking down onto Liara, checking her out again before turning them to Aries, wondering what her answer would be.

Sarge
Unarium-encased butter
Sarge was stretching his wings on a flight around, for once enjoying the sun and the air. He had decided to treat himself for a day, instead of continuing his protective vigil of his sister and her brood. While Aries's mate Zil'caron sat ostentatiously near the eggs, Sarge watched from the shadows, his small size allowing him to be a hidden guardian.

Sarge happened to glance down, and to his surprise, he saw Aries, talking to a purple dragoness. He watched her for a moment, then grinned, a bit of mischief forming in his head. He partially folded his wings, diving to pick up speed, before leveling off near the ground. He aimed towards Aries and buzzed her, shooting by her head only inches away. Chuckling, he pulled up, passing under a red dragon who seemed to be waiting for something, and preforming a half loop, ending it with a half roll to right himself. He flew past Aries again, slower this time, then turned around and landed by her side, bounding over to her.

Hey little sis, Sarge said, a grin on his face as he nudged her shoulder, Scared you, didn't I?

He glanced at the purple dragoness, before looking back to his sister. He didn't particularly feel like talking with strangers, but he sighed, and turned his head towards the dragoness, giving her a polite smile. Then, a large red male wyvern landed near the purple dragoness, greeting Aries. Sarge stiffened as he landed, before forcing himself to relax again.
I should be more social, he told himself, For Aries's sake.

He almost grimaced when he saw the way the wyvern looked at the purple dragoness, but just barely managed to keep the expression off of his face.
this guy is way too obvious, Sergeant thought to himself, No subtlety at all.

Hello, Sarge said, trying to sound amicable and not completely succeeding, I see you've met my little sister.

Aries smiled at Liara, brightening at the invite. I think I'd like that very much, thenk you. I haven't flown properly in ages, and my wings need a good stretch.[/i] Before the purple dragoness could reply, however, a red wyrmling she just recognized flew down and joined them.

Why, hello Inferno. she greeted back, smiling serenely. My eggs are doing fine, thank you very much. Zil'caron's watching them right now. I took a slight break, and Liara was kind enough to ask me to join you for your swim-

Before she coudl finish, Aries nearly jumped out of her skin as Sarge arrived, stealthy and alive as usual.
Sarge![/b] she scolded him, but fondly. She smiled as he introduced himself to the others, barely, and decided to complete it for him.

Liara, Inferno, this is my older brother, Sergeant. I don't think you've met him before, either of you. she smiled and gave her brother a loving smile. She noticed he was displeased when he almost grimaced because she knew him well, and smiled, a lightbulb flaring into existance over her head. Sarge, Liara hasn't been a member of our clan for much. You're barely two weeks 'newer' than she is. Why don't you tell her how adjusting was? she suggested, slightly pushing her brother towards the purple dragoness, then turned to Inferno. She , too, like Sarge, thought that he was way too obvious in his advances and was glad her own mate was thoughtful and delicate.

And you, Inferno? You haven't been here for long, either, have you? Where were you before?

Inferno spoke, greeting Aries about her eggs. Liara could then feel his eyes on her, which made her insides melt. That intense and careful gaze made her want to look into his eyes all day long, obey every word that he said, make the world happy with her and his doings. She hardly noticed Aries speak about her eggs when she heard a huge wooshing sound really close by. She turned her head quickly to see a dragon nearly miss Aries's head by inches. He came to land next to Aries, looking over Liara and seeming to have a sliver of disgust in his eye when he looked at Inferno. Liara was confused.

Apparently he was Aries's brother, from how he spoke to her. When he gave Liara a smile, she returned it with her own. When Aries accepted the invitation, Liara's heart sank a bit. Maybe that alone time with Inferno wasn't going to work out.

The dragon's name was Sergeant. He didn't look familiar, so he probably hadn't been out much for Liara to see him. That smile seemed to send a messege, one that was she couldn't depict, but the feelings it sent her were jumbled. He looked to be a friendly dragon, one that wouldn't mind having company every once in a while.

Aries suggested that Sarge tell her how adjusting to clan life is like. She was wary of the offer, but maybe it could help her out. But, that was the same thing with Inferno. She was sure they both wouldn't mind telling how adjusting was, as they both joined at pretty much the same time. It made her head hurt just thinking about it. She'd hate to turn down one of them, but maybe having both of them would help.

That doesn't sound like a bad idea. But maybe we should get moving. We could talk during our flight, of course. She wondered what it would be like talking to both of them at the same time, especially from their looks they gave each other.

Inferno more or less smiled at Sarge's arrival. He saw the way he looked at him for looking at Liara. He raised part of his gum up in a low snarl at this male, he could tell this would end badly very soon. He looked up to Aries as she spoke to him, I had been a wonderer for many years, going place to place. I rarely made friends, as not many dragons like red's, that is until I joined here. When Silvera didn't ignore me because I was a red dragon and we red's it seems have quite a reputation for being aggressive and wanting to attack anything they see.

Inferno sighed, looking down to Sarge as the small dragon spoke to him. Hey Sarge. The red said, his voice deep, yet alluring at the same time, at least it was for Liara. He looked back to Aries, a sadness forming in his eyes, The reason I left was because my parents were murdered by a black dragon, one which I swore I'll have my revenge on before I die. I'll rip him in half when I find that beast He snarled, before managing to calm himself down before he started getting angry.

The red looked away, snorting fire out his nostrils as he did so, I guess everything about red's aren't entirely lies He said to her. He sighed, before he spread his wings, needing to stretch them as he looked back. Well, if we're going, we might as go before it gets dark, as Liara said, we can talk about this once we are flying. He said. He craned his neck and head as he stood up on his hind legs, making him gain nearly 15 feet in height as he looked back down, motioning his head for them to go.

Sarge saw Inferno snarl at him, and the stiffness in his posture returned a bit. He narrowed his eyes at the male, replying with his own low snarl. Sarge made sure it was perfectly clear he would not accept being trifled with. He stopped snarling after a moment, though his eyes remained somewhat narrowed with a dangerous glint, as Inferno told Aries why he was wandering about. The story angered Inferno as he said it, and by the end, he was snarling, but he managed to calm himself down.

He needs to cool down, Sarge thought to himself, That kind of aggression won't do around here.

Liara suggested they get going, and continue talking on the wing, and Inferno agreed. He took of into the air, and motioned for them to follow. Sarge watched him for a moment, noting his flying style, before taking off along with Aries, and pulling up alongside Liara. He glanced at the purple dragoness and gave her a smile, before remembering that Aries had suggested he relate how adjusting to clan life was like.

How was adjusting? Sarge said to himself, thinking a bit, Well the biggest difference was that other dragons don't find it acceptable to beat on and take advantage of smaller dragons here, but that applies more to me than you guys. The dragons are mostly friendly, not quite as amicable as Aries, but friendly enough. The company was a change, and I'm still getting use to talking to strangers. There's no shortage of food, so hunting pretty easy. The tree of life has plenty of shelter, and the other clans are friendly. So all in all, a pretty good life, if uneventful.

Uneventful? Aries grinned at him as they flew, slightly ruffled by Inferno's outburst. She glanced at him quickly, but held her peace. With everything that's happened, life's hardly uneventful here anymore. I'm sure you'll like it very much, both of you.

As for your story, I'm sorry, Inferno... I hope you can find peace here and grow roots. About your parents.. I'm sorry. I can't offer much more... she said sadly, sorrowful because of his words. She didn't notice she was gradually drifting towards Sarge, pushing him towards Liara. She was looking down at the plains rolling under them far below, and at the Lake's glittering waters up ahead. Many of us, though, have lived similar lives and can understand. If we can't exactly, we'll try to. Zir'con and Silvera are good leaders; we work fine as a group.

She glanced at her brother and gave him a loving, quick smile, then at Liara. it was odd, really. Size-wards, Inferno was the grandpa, she and Liara were sisters and Sarge their little kid, but it couldn't have been more different.
