 (please me nice with your comments this is only a picture prompt done in an hour which was all the time i had to write this :ohnoez::picture prompts are  i did not use the Land of Selzar in the accaull work i just added it for this post to add to the back story.)In the beginning before the dragons were isolated to the Island of Selzar. For some rituals that the mages did required dragon blood or bones. This is the story of one of those quests. “What are you talking about? I never agreed to fight a dragon.” The man said calmly. “When you agreed to do whatever I asked in exchange for the lodging and food till you could get your own cottage, which meant whatever I asked Darksteel! I said I need dragon blood to finish this spell and the only way to get it is to fight a dragon so you will do it. Or would you rather be living back out on the streets forced to look for food in the trash?” His master told Darksteel. “No master you are right I did agree to do anything that you asked. Also I do not want to go back to the way I used to live. So I will do it.” Darksteel said begrudgingly. So Darksteel when out to get the dragon blood like his master asked him to. The journey long and hard Darksteel had to brave the caves of the craw wurms and then desert. The desert was filled with scorpions the size of a dog. He had a few near death experiences in the desert but he survived none the less. When he reached the mountain that everyone in the land called The Dragon Peak most of the people who try to go up there to slay a dragon never come back. “So I have to head up there to get the dragon blood. I better come back down alive or else I would have let my master down.” Darksteel said before he started his accent up the mountain. Darksteel reached the first cave on the mountain side he discovered it was empty. The second cave that he reached was full of dragons but he decided not to fight any of them only because of the number advantage that they had over him. In the third cave he saw a lone dragon that looked like he did not want to fight. Darksteel when and attacked this dragon. The dragon blocked his attack then asked, “Why do you attack me unprovoked? Are you another one of those glory seekers or are you employed by a mage to get my blood?” The dragon asked. “Yes I am employed by a mage to get your blood but I am employed against my wishes. I would rather not fight you but I need to keep a roof over my head.” Darksteel said. After Darksteel said that he told the dragon about his past and then the dragon told him his name. “My name is Argon I understand what you are going through. I will let you take some of my blood to bring back to your master. I will also provide you with protection whenever you need it.” Thus creating the first dragon rider. After Darksteel brought back the blood to his master, he and Argon left there to travel the land and to help anyone that needed it and to end the reign of tyrant king that ruled the lands. |
