Welcome to The Dragons of Selzar.

This place is designed as a Role-play site where you literally live as a dragon. You create your dragon character, join one of the five dragon clans, and then you live it's life as if it was your life, and adapt it to different scenarios that are brought upon you by other users and characters. This place is a lot of fun and that's what everything is all about.

Come and Join our clan of Dragons!

Levi hadn't been tired when she had fallen asleep only a few hours earlier, and now her mind refused to be quieted any longer. Standing slowly, she walked to where she could faintly sense the edge, her eyes still shut. She leapt from the edge and let herself fall for a little bit before her eyes shot open and she caught herself with her wind magic, hovering in midair. She flew further out and away from the mountain and let her body fall again, angling so she'd enter the water with minimal sound. She felt her gills open and began using them to breathe as her vision readjusted. It was dark in the water, but there were stars and the moon to light the sky, and the water was clear enough to let some of the light filter down. Moving her body through the water, Levi headed for the plain as quietly as she could. Just because she didn't want to sleep didn't mean others felt the same.

The water grew shallower and Levi walked onto the beach, the water making the dry sand stick to her feet. The stars glimmered above, and she turned her head to the heavens to see them. They were close to the positions they had been in when the Storm had taken her blood family from her. It did not make her sad; it never had. Levi couldn't figure out why she had not cried for her family, and yet had to fight back tears whenever she thought of Him. She didn't often think of him by name so that it hurt less. But once in a while, she would dare to remember Him in more than pieces that were quickly tucked away. He was up there now, one of the stars that watched her now. Zephran.... Her voice was barely a shaking whisper and her vision had started to cloud with tears. How she missed him.... But Ocylion was dead, and Zephran had been avenged. Nothing more could be done. Levi bit her lip slightly and blinked away the gathered tears, trying to regain composure should someone else come along. It was unlikely many would be awake, but there was always the possibility of someone, and right now, she was in no state to try to be stoic.

(Hope you don't mind if I join in.)

Shinju was out collecting plants from the ocean depth. She was gathering herbs that could be used to help healing, help with the over baring oder of other dragons or just for plain looks.

Now was the best time to do it as everyone else was asleep, allowing her to place the water plants from the ocean and allowing them to dry on the shore. Not only that, but the moon and stars helped her to see in the dark water.

She was startled as another dragon appeared in front of her, their back to her. All she could do was blink, surprised to see someone else up. Three of her claws were filled with herbs and she did need to get them on shore if she wanted them to dry out before morning.

Looking much like a sea snake, she headed for the shore. She carefully walked on the shore, making sure not to crush the plants in her claws as she placed them on a rock, heating it with her fire to speed up the process.

"Hello." A smile on her muzzle as she turned to look at the other dragon. "Is something wrong?" The other seemed upset about something. Shinju was not quite sure what was wrong but wanted to at least try and make the other female feel better.

(The more, the merrier ^^)

Levi had tensed automatically when she heard a voice behind her, a leftover instinct for when she had been forced to do Ocylion's bidding all those years ago, though her muscles relaxed once she heard the voice speak again, the intent clear. The owner of the voice had no intention of attack, only concern. She silently thanked whoever watched over her from above, for her mind was still too jumbled for a fight.

Levi turned to see a dragon with a mane of silver fur and white-colored scales that seemed to have a layer of iridescence on them, like pearls. Levi smiled and shook her head. No, nothing's wrong, I was just thinking about something is all. She cursed herself for not being able to shield her emotions better. If even a dragon whom she had not met could tell what she was feeling, then she knew she must conceal her feelings better.

Levi smiled again, closing her eyes in the process. Focus, focus, calm everything, show nothing in the eyes. She opened her eyes again, keeping her emotions out of them. My name is Levionna, but everyone calls me Levi. What is your name, if I may ask? Levi could see a pile of what looked to be herbs on the sand, apparently drying. And what is she doing up this late? She might be drying those herbs.... But I won't ask. Not until I know her name.

Shinju watched as the other tensed before quickly relaxing. "I'm sorry, I did not mean to startle you." She smiled as the other introduced her self. "Nice to meet you Levionna. My name is Shinju, I'm one of the healers in the clan."

She started to dig in the sand some, pulling out a small shell and placing it to the side before digging for another. "I'm just not use to seeing others up so late. I come out ever so often to gather herbs. Unlike most of the dragons here, I can't stay out of the water for to long or else I end up in a lot of pain, so I do most of my herb gathering at night."

She smiled up at the much taller female. "Sleepless night or over active mind?" Trying to see just what was keeping Levionna up. It was none of her business as to what it was, but at the same time being a clan healer it was her job to make sure it was nothing major.

Levi smiled at Shinju's introduction, her mind organized again. The last shreds of sorrow that she had felt from remembering had been filed away. You've got a pretty name, Shinju. Levi watched the other dragoness start to dig in the sand for shells, saying that she wasn't used to seeing others up this late, and that she had been gathering herbs. Ah.... So that's what I saw drying over there... Shinju continued to say that unlike most of the dragons, she couldn't stay out of the water for long, or she would end up in a lot of pain, and so she did most of her herb gathering at night.

Levi nodded. I see. It also gives you time to dry them before you need them the next day, that's smart thinking. She smiled a half-smile at Shinju. Usually she didn't show her emotions this soon after meeting someone, but she didn't care. It was good to break the mold once in a while. When Shinju asked sleepless night or overactive mind, Levi assumed Shinju was inquiring why she was awake. A slight twinge of pain entered Levi's heart, and she looked up to the moon. She was still smiling, but it was almost a sad smile. Sort of a mixture of both, I guess. Mostly just remembering an old friend from long ago.

Shinju smiled softly at Levi. "Th-Thank you." Rather taken back by the complaint for her name.

She saw the others face grow sad about something. Shinju looked up at the moon, not sure what to say. "You should go ahead and let it all out." She blinked and quickly clamped her mouth shut. What was she thinking!? "I'm sorry. I just know that holding in how one feels only makes things much worse." Mentally scolding her self for speaking so freely.

((Sorry for the wait. I forgot about the thread. x.x))

(S'okay, happens to me a lot XD)

Levi leaned her head slightly to the side, looking at Shinju half sideways. "There is no need to apologize. I appreciate the advice, but it happened so long ago. My heart has mostly grown hardened to it now." She looked up at the sky. "But talking might help nonetheless." A smile lit up her face again, remembering another memory of Zephran, him wrapped around her on that day she had awoken and found out her family was gone. "Although, knowing him, he'd tell me not to be sad, but to remember the time I knew him." She sighed and closed her eyes. "I mostly just miss him I guess. He was like my father when my family died." Opening her eyes, she smiled. "It's very odd, I miss him more than I miss my family. When I remember my sisters or my mother and father, It's really more of a disappointment that I don't miss them."

Shinju laid down, looking up at the much taller dragoness with interest. "If you wish to vent, I will be here. Nothing you say will ever be repeated." She gave Levi a gentle smile on her maw. Shin knew Levi had no reason to vent to her, but as a healer of the clan it was her duty to make sure everyone was healthy, mentally or psychically.

"It's normal what you're feeling. There is no need to feel ashamed of it though." She really had no advice to give. She knew nothing of her own parents, but she did wish at times she did but it was more of a 'where did I come from' then of missing them. All Shinju could do was hope to give Levi some comfort.
