Name: Kinari Dragon Type: Western European Age: 38 Gender: Female Clan: None (at this point) Clan position desired: N/A Desired Magic: Healing: Mastered Ice: Mastered Earth: Mastered Water: Mastered Appearance: Kinari is a tall, elegant dragon, with a slim, graceful build. She is 27 feet high, about 60 feet long, with 112 feet wingspan. Her smooth scales are as black as midnight and are knit closely together, while her eyes glow ice blue. Despite the color of her eyes, they are not cold and emotionless. Rather, they are able to convey the warmth of Kinari's personality and love. The scales of the throat of her neck, chest, stomach, and underside of her tail are a tone lighter than the rest of her body, while her claws and talons are ivory white. Flat, elongated scales flow out from the back of her head and cheeks, and are her version of horns, of which there are several of varying lengths. Kinari is not very muscular, but her movements flow and are precise. She carries herself with the grace of experience and wisdom. There is a scar of slash on the left side of her throat, just behind her head. A few more, less noticeable scars streak along different parts of her body; her sides, her hips, her back. Personality: Kinari is a kind, gentle, understanding, loving dragon. She shies away from violence, and would rather rest peacefully. While she does enjoy solitude and time to herself form time to time, she does love company, and is very genial. She is affectionate to those she loves, but if a conflict arises between two of her friends or loved ones, she falters, not knowing who to back, or what to do. After the events concerning her mate and her son, there is a hint of sadness in her eyes, in her voice. Her wisdom and experience have showed her that the world is not as beautiful as she once believed, and this shows in her posture, words, and expression. History: Kinari was born outside of the lands of Selzar, and was parented under the care of a lone mountain dragoness, her mother. Her father had been killed while defending her mother from a group of rouge dragons, while Kinari was still in her egg. While her mother loved her daughter, and taught her everything she knew about healing and other magics, she did not have much experience in fighting. Thus, Kinari grew up with little combat prowess, and after learning what happened to her father, a distaste, almost abhorrence of violence. Her mother was keenly aware of this, and worried about her daughters ability to survive in the world. Thus, it was with her mother's relieved blessings that Kinari fell for and mated with a strong, confident, proud dragon named Eridor, when she was 16 years old. The two were very fond of each other before then for several years, and it seemed natural. Eventually, Kinari had a son, a gray hatchling which her mate named Courmag. Four years later, she had another egg, a white one, but after waiting for an inordinate amount of time, they left it with a trusted friend, hoping but not expecting it to hatch. Kinari at first objected to this, but Eridor was adamant in his wish to focus on training their son. Not wanting conflict with her mate, Kinari agreed. Kinari adored her little gray son, and she doted on him almost constantly. Her affection served as a counter to the rather harsh treatment Eridor gave his son during their training sessions. Often times, little Courmag would come back crying after a harsh scolding from Eridor, leaving Kinari to comfort her son. As this continued, Kinari grew more and more concerned over her mates anxiousness to train a strong, powerful son. She also noticed that her son was growing slower than normal, but she didn't mind, other than any health concerns. However, by the time little Courmag was 12, it was obvious something was wrong with him. They realized he was a midget, a runt. Kinari had no problem with it. Eridor did. After realizing that his son wouldn't be a large, powerful dragon, Eridor became angry. Very angry. Soon enough, he released his anger on the one dragon he could blame other than himself: Kinari. After an argument over Courmag's training schedule, Eridor lost it, and struck her down, then left her to die. He then turned his enraged eyes towards their son, who was watching in horror. In an effort to save her son, Kinari used the last of her strength to distract Eridor with a breath of fire. The last thing she saw before she blacked out was the sight of her son flying off into the horizon. Kinari woke up a moment later, the pain from her neck as intense as ever. She looked up and saw Eridor standing over her, a mixed expression of anger, shock, and fear on his face. Kinari realized that Eridor was sustaining her with energy. He told her to heal herself, which she did. He escorted her silently back to their den, and ordered her to get some rest. Kinari did as she was told, afraid of her mate, but at the same time confused. She eventually fell asleep, and when she awoke, she found her mate gone. When she gained her strength, she searched for Eridor, but never found him, not even a trace. Even their friends hadn't seen him. Kinari is now looking for her family, be it her son, the child she never saw, or her mate. She has traveled far and wide in her search, and has had several encounters with other dragons. Many of them were unpleasant. At first, she was unable to defend herself, due to the lack of self-defense training. However, she eventually learned self-preservation and self-defense techniques, though she still does not like violence. She has just recently arrived in Selzar, and intends to search for her family here, before moving on. Picture: (Not requires but is recommended) Other: Due to the wound on her neck, Kinari has a hard time raising her voice, and her throat can become rather easily. She is the Mother of both Sergeant and Aries. Edited by Sarge, Mar 24 2010, 08:34 PM.
