A frozen waste, surrounded by water. The temperatures dipped down low, the sky an icy blue. Something in the ice moved for the first time in such a very long time. Older now, then it had been, stronger, faster, smarter. The ice groaned with the movement, small little Cracks! as the ice started to give way with the force within it. Not far down below, no, but deep enough to be concealed. A snarl came as the ice began to give way, a huge mass of it breaking off and being thrown into the sky. Landing on the surface it made more cracks with its force. The snarl rose to a bellow, a clawed foot striking into the ground, on the surface of the ledge. Its claws dug in as the tendons strained with the force and effort. Hauling its weight over, a horned head rising. Hissing, the creature shook its massive head, placing a hind leg on the inside surface of the tomb, its tried to pull itself up and out. Snarling and hissing in rage as it slipped and struggled. Its wings snapped open with a loud CRACK! And it expanded its jaws to their full extent, a bright plume of flame bursting form between its jaws in its rage. Growling, the fleshy upper lip rising over the gums, she hauled her entire weight over the ledge, her claws dug into the ice as her back paws pushed off the ground, her wings opened fully, she took off into the air. The fins at the end of her tail keeping her airbourne and steady. She was not used to flying however, and crashed into the ice. Snarling, she got to her feet, shaking her head violently from side to side. It had been so long since she had flown, even been able to move. Now though, she felt... Free. Lifting her head up, she looked around, the blue markings on her scales and feathery wings glowing brightly in the cold. She felt the chemicals mix in her system, Sulfur, Hydrogen, Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide. She smiled as she felt the warmth on the inside, and the cold on the outside. Her scales as cold as the ice that lived so far down. Shakking her wings open she looked around her, analyzing the world she had once lived in before killing her father. Her tail lashed from side to side and she growled, but she could not remember even having a father. Not a mother.. Nothing. Who was she? She snarled, searching around for some kind of hint, or clue. Nothing. Who was she? She nearly panicked from it. Her tail lashing from side to side, hitting the ground with blunt force, she could not remember. She bared her teeth and one word came to her mind. She smiled, maybe it was her name? Even if it was not.. She would use it.. It sounded beautiful.. She liked it. Anvatsyuik. |

(OOC: Isn't Anvatsyuik already in the Kukiron clan? This is confusing. XD Also, I hope it's okay if I join this. :/) The sun beat down ruthlessly on the huge iceberg off the coast of Selzar. It was in no danger of melting, however—the spell placed upon the ice caves was strong enough to prevent that. But there was another object of ice that was not, by the spell, protected against the unrelenting sun—a young dragoness that laid at the mouth of one of the higher caves, the shadow of the tunnel opening protecting her from harm. Frostica sighed as she looked out onto the turquoise-blue sea and towards the mainland of Selzar. It seemed that when an opportunity arose to take her to Selzar, it was snatched away before she could try to use it. First there was Diosyre, who seemed nice at first, but always beat down her dreams of going to Selzar by telling her time and time again that she would never survive the flight to the mainland. Then there was Storm, the dragon who was one of the only ones not to be afraid of her because she was different and promised that he would help her get to Selzar. But the forest on an island part of the iceberg was as far as they got. Then, after the meeting that the mainland dragons held at the Caves of Suni, he disappeared, dashing her hopes again. But he had given her one thing: fully functional wings, which made her begin to hope again. He made her realize that maybe, just maybe, she could make it there on her own. Then she remembered what the mainland dragons had said at the meeting about the Jorthian in Selzar, which had thrown her into despair again. Was she forever trapped in the Caves of Suni? A tear slowly rolled down Frostica's cheek as she scraped at the icy floor of the tunnel in frustration. Why was she forced to stay here, after so many years? And why was she forever forced to stay alone? There was no one now that visited the caves. Frostica had taken to looking out over the sea for newcomers every day in the past, but lately she had begun staying in her own small cave for days at a time, forever toying with the beautiful curtain of jewels, strung on gold string, that Storm had given her and looking at the huge gem that was also Storm's gift to her. She had created a small ice pedestal for the jewel, with a tiny eastern dragon made of ice curling around the diamond, reminding her of who had given it to her so generously. She had started to create more ice sculptures as well, all of them portraying dragons. With her improving her ice magic skills every day, the size and detail of the ice dragons grew until they were completely life-size and lifelike. She had mapped out all she knew of the ice caves on the floor of her personal cavern and began making display caves of all the ice sculptures she had created. Smaller caves were for rows of miniature dragons in all kinds of poses, larger ones for life-size scenes of dragons doing all sorts of things: standing, sitting, using magic, breathing fire (made of ice, of course), sleeping, fighting, flying. It was as if a colony of ice dragons lived in the caves, but forever frozen in time. These dragons were almost like Frostica's friends. She spent hours making them, talking to them, completely absorbed in her work as the days went by. She barely noticed how many days she spent in the ice caves. Now, though, she was out of them for a break. She looked at the blinding sun, the only obstacle now to getting to Selzar. But how could she win against the sun? It was impossible. But her ice magic had gotten stronger. Maybe she could go. Calling upon her ice magic, a thick layer of cold ice glazed over her whole body. She stood up, feeling confident, and stepped out into the sun. She was surprised. She felt a bit warmer, but not enough to make her uncomfortable at all. The ice covering was protecting her. Feeling a small breeze, she opened her wings and jumped off the ledge. She stretched her healed wings to their limit, relieving the ache of keeping them folded in the narrow caves for so long. She gave them a powerful flap, rising quickly into the air. As soon as she had gotten out of the danger of slamming into the iceberg, she banked to the right, rising slightly in altitude the longer she flew. As soon as she had completed a loop around the Caves of Suni, she leveled out, flying around the front of the iceberg, the sun making her icy wings shimmer. Any dragon would be able to clearly see that from the mainland. Hopefully someone might come today... she thought, flying up and circling above the iceberg, feeling more free than she had ever been. Then she saw the creature. It was a dragon, she noticed, but it seemed almost stuck in the ice. But she had never noticed it before. How odd. Then it was struggling, clawing at the ice, snarling, and when it broke free, a plume of fire billowing from its mouth. Frostica was surprised. In the air, she turned and flew down to a ledge. Afraid of the dragon noticing her and attacking her, she landed on the ledge and retreated a bit farther in, sticking her head out to watch what the dragon did. (OOC: Gigantic post! O_O) |

Haha, Tis! x} But this is before she joins the clan. Snarling Anvatsyuik landed on the frozen ground, shaking her head from side to side in anger. How could she not remember anything? She was sure she had had a family.. If not a big one, then some kind of family. She felt the cold set into her bones. Hissing, she raised her head and bared her teeth. A low growl rising in the bottom of her throat. Her tail lashed from side to side in a frenzy rage. She looked around, she could feel the cold, but no warmth. She looked around the world, her first knowing of it, and she thought World So Cold. Her head jerked up, no doubt she was alive, she had been, if she had... Had she? Was she born from the frozen waste? Or was there a mother and father? She snarled, a plume of smoke escaping her nostrils, it did not, and should not, matter anymore. She was Frost Born, and she was willing to live out as a cold creature, but deep inside.. There was an urge. Some kind of... Need to help another. She bared her teeth, she would not have to be a monster. Lashing her tail she looked around her surroundings once more, she saw nothing but the frozen waste, She cracked her jaws open, small rivers of thick Sanguinary blood dripping from her jaws and teeth, her gums bleeding from her teeth cutting deep in. Her toungue swiped over her jaws and her teeth, realizing her hunger. She looked around and gave a low whine, of course, the middle of no where. She hissed and sat down, shaking her head from side to side, she would have to go on her own and find something. |

Storm awakens slowly becoming aware of the fact that he is frozen in place by a layer of ice completely covering him. Gently wiggling to try and free himself he discovered that the ice was thicker than he thought. Letting out a growl he violently twists and turns breaking free of the ice. Once standing and free of the ice he realizes that he is starving which he cant understand, the last thing he remembers is leaving the meeting of dragons soon after arriving and returning to his cave and falling asleep. Deciding to hunt with what energy he has he leaves the cave at a slow pace to conserve energy. Coming to the exit he sees Frostica hiding in the shadows and looking at something outside the caves. "What is it you are looking at that has you so spooked," he asks quietly. |
