Welcome to The Dragons of Selzar.

This place is designed as a Role-play site where you literally live as a dragon. You create your dragon character, join one of the five dragon clans, and then you live it's life as if it was your life, and adapt it to different scenarios that are brought upon you by other users and characters. This place is a lot of fun and that's what everything is all about.

Come and Join our clan of Dragons!

Name: Anzianne (Ahn-zi-ahn-nyeh)

Nickname: Azia

Dragon type: Western European

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Clan: Furick

Position: 2nd Healer

Magic (Strength)
Healing: Mastered
Energy: Nearly Mastered
Fire: Strong

Appearance: Pale purple oval scales cover Azia’s skin, the scales on her stomach nearly white. The scales around her spine and paws are a deeper color. Her claws are black, but when the light hits them, they are a deep red-purple color. A line of small similarly colored spikes runs down her spine along with two tapering horns that frame the sides of her face, one on each side of her head. Her wings are covered in thin feather-like scales and are a dark violet, the color of an amethyst, though they don’t sparkle the same way. A tuft of the same “feathers” clusters on the tip of her tail, and she can spread them apart like a fan or pull them close to one another into a stiff, blunt “blade”. Her eyes are a vivid green and there is a ring of dark blue around her pupils. A white scar traces its way from the base of her left horn to below her right cheek. She stands 19 feet tall, is 40 feet long from nose to tail, and has a wingspan of 85 feet from tip to tip of the longest “feathers”.

Personality: Overall, Azia is a quiet dragon. When she has free time, her mind is usually wandering or she is humming some improvised tune. If she ever needs to think seriously, she ends up flying by herself. She tries to see the positives, or at least keep her mouth shut if there aren’t any. She is generally happy to meet someone new, so long as they aren’t trying to hurt her or her friends. She attempts to avoid fighting whenever she can, and killing even more so, but she realizes that there will be exceptions. She tries to keep from losing her temper and doesn’t lose it often, but once she does, she usually has to go off on her own for a few hours at least to calm herself again.

Azia is very aware of others’ pain and tries to reduce it in any way she can, though ignores her own until she uses all her energy. She can be extremely stubborn, especially when told to ignore someone’s pain, even if it is said in response to her wellbeing. She doesn’t admit defeat easily, but will usually submit if she realizes that she can’t win. When anything she holds dear is threatened, she will do anything to protect them, even give her own life in some cases. She can be very closed sometimes, refusing to say if anything’s bothering her.

History: Azia’s name was once Herenya, though she cannot remember. She doesn’t remember her family or her past from before she was 10. She and her two sisters were born on an island somewhat close to Selzar. A caring mother and father taught her how to use her magic from a young age. All was well, and she lived a happy life. That is, until the gold dragon came.

His name was Arakin and he had been an old acquaintance of her father, and had dropped by to visit, but within minutes, they were arguing, her father having not wanted to see his so-called “friend” again. The gold dragon left in a huff and Herenya heard her father shout something about letting Arakin die. Arakin responded that he should be careful what he wished on others before flying away.

That night, Herenya’s father told her and her sisters what had happened with Arakin all those years ago. He had pulled Arakin from the rubble of a cave-in and had become his friend, but slowly, the two had grown apart, and now they couldn’t do anything but squabble when they saw each other. Their mother then told them that it was late, and they should sleep. Herenya, though, couldn’t sleep, her mind restless after what had happened. And so she got to see the entire thing.

In the dead of that night, Arakin returned. Herenya was too scared to move, terrified of why he might be back. She watched frightened as Arakin lifted his paw and tore her parents’ throats out, then one of her sister’s. She fled then, knowing that she would be next once her sisters were slain.

She didn’t get far before she heard his wings in the air. She quickly hid herself, hoping that he hadn’t seen her. He landed nearby and called her name, searching for her. She held perfectly still, even when he torched a bush near her. After pawing around for a bit, he left, apparently satisfied that she wasn’t there. Herenya still didn’t move, and just eventually falling asleep in her spot. She was 6 years old.

Her sleep was plagued with nightmares, and when she awoke, she nearly screamed. It was morning, and a dragon was standing over her. The dragon’s name was Namara, and she had found Herenya asleep in the forest and brought her to her own cave. When Namara asked Herenya about her family, she just shook her head. Namara asked no more questions about that, but insisted that Herenya stay with her for a few years at least.
Namara taught Herenya many things, like how to hunt more efficiently and how to dispatch someone without killing the target. Herenya was happy, for she felt that though she had lost one family, she had gained another. She was 10.

She was walking through the woods one day, just letting her mind wander, when a shadow passed overhead and a gold dragon landed in front of her. Arakin. She turned and tried to run, but he held her to the ground with his Ice Magic freezing her limbs together. He smiled wickedly and said that she had been a bad, bad girl and that she had to die now for making him look for her so long. He tried to cut off her head with a blade of ice, but Herenya ducked at the last second, and he cut where her scar is today. The blow made her fall unconscious, and again Arakin was satisfied, for he knew that even if the blood loss didn’t kill her, the shock of the memory loss might.

When she came around again, she couldn’t remember anything, not even her name. Lying on the ground was a dragon with golden scales who was dead for some reason, and a dragoness who seemed very familiar who was near death. The dragoness asked her if she was alright, and she asked the dragoness what their names were. The dragoness seemed sad, but said that her own name was Namara, and that for her name, she was Anzianne. Namara then asked Azia to stay with her until she died, since she looked like a friend she used to know. Azia stayed, and once Namara did pass on, Azia built a pyre for her and the gold dragon.

Azia wandered on her own for 6 years, trying to find clues about her past, never staying in one spot long enough to make any new friends. The nightmares still plagued her, terrible dreams of watching someone kill her family, or watching Namara die knowing that Azia was supposed to know her. The gold dragon also appeared in her nightmares, always smiling horribly, his face torn and bloodied. Never did she tell anyone of her nightmares, and quickly learned how to keep from screaming when she woke from one. She flew to another land, Selzar, hoping that maybe here, her nightmares would subside, or at least lessen.

She found the Furick clan relatively easily, and has spent the last year coming into her own light, proving herself a competent healer.

Picture: none

Other: Occasionally, Azia will have nightmares that usually result in her not being able to sleep for the rest of the night and sometimes the night after, depending on the severity.
