Lumi had been walking around in the woods, enjoying the sun as it filtered through the leaves. She closed her eyes as the wind danced among the trees and set the leaves in motion. Her eyes caught a flicker at the edge of her vision and she turned to see what it was. Her eyes turned silver as she caught a glimpse of a spirit that she hadn't seen before. It didn't have a clear shape, so it was either a very old or very new spirit. It darted further into the woods, and Lumi found her self following. She wanted to know this spirit, and it wanted to show her something. Or she thought so anyway. It began moving faster, darting further through the trees and she quickened her walking to a slow run. It's shape seemed to be more solid now. Was it showing her something about it? Maybe where he or she died? Lumi ran faster, noticing that it was pulling at her range to see it. She burst out of the trees and into a clearing.... and straight into another dragon. She drew back a few steps. Oh! I-I'm sorry, I was just, um, I d-didn't see you. Oh God, this was embarassing. How was she supposed to explain what she was doing? Oh hi, I'm just following a spirit around in the woods, no, I'm not crazy, sometimes they possess me too! She could see the spirit bobbing around off to the side, seemingly pleased with itself. It had just wanted her to look like an idiot after all. |

Hopian had been out walking the forests, something he did everyday to keep from being seen as he didn't like being around crowds. He had took a moment to stop and stretch a little, before he turned his head towards the forest to his right from the clearing, having heard what appeared to be running. Not even the Opal dragon had been prepared for what would happen next. As he turned his head the opposite direction, he heard the running get closer. As he looked back to his right, he was barrelled straight into by another dragon. He was furious at first, how could another dragon just run straight into him, but, upon inspection of the snow white dragon, he noticed her eyes were that of a blind dragon's, yet, she could still see somehow enough to back up and look at him, then she spoke. Hopian listened as she yelped in suprise, before sayaing she was sorry and she didn't see him. She must've been blind to not see his massive self. He was a bit bigger than her, but, her eyes told something he didn't know. He chuckled a little at this, she was a bit wierd, but, so was he. Maybe, just maybe... He thought to himself as he eyed the snow white dragoness infront of him. It's quite all right, but, if you don't mind me asking, might I enquire as to why your out here alone and in such a rush? Is someone following you? He growled questioningly, his voice being deep and strong, yet alluring all at the same time. Hopian looked into her eyes, yet, knew he saw something in them. The kind of thing that told him she had a secret, yet, he couldn't figure out. He was actually kind of glad this had happened, it would give him his first friend since joining the Juthivar Clan. |

Lumi looked up at the dragon she had plowed into. He was several feet taller than her and had remarkably unusual scales. They seemed to have rainbows embedded in their core, that much she could see through her silver-tinted vision. She nearly gave a sigh of relief when he began speaking. He didn't seem to be mad at her, thank goodness, just curious as to what she was doing. No, no one's following me, rather I was following something. I'm Elumina, Lumi for short. She smiled at him before noticing that the spirit was moving away. Her eyes widened as she inhaled sharply. She leapt toward it, moving around the other dragon, but it was too late, the spirit was long gone. She huffed slightly, her vision returning to normal and the silver in her eyes replaced with their normal yellow irises. Well crap, it's gone now. She turned back around to face him, knowing the next question would probably be about her eyes. That stupid spirit, if it had just stayed there for a little longer.... Ah well. She looked him in the eyes, now seeing that they were a golden color, much like her own. I know, you're probably thinking that you're seeing something funny, but you're not. She closed her eyes and sighed inwardly to herself. He must think she was crazy now. Oh, was this a fine mess to be in. |

Hopian listened curiously as she said her name was Elumina, but Lumi for short and that she had been following something. Interesting name indeed The rainbow dragon thought to himself, as he looked back to her. Upon seeing her lunge at him though, he turned a little violent, snarling as she ran around him. He relaxed though as she stopped and said crap and that it was gone now. When she turned around, her eyes were back to being yellow, much like his were but his were a deeper shade, being gold actually, with just a tint of silver at the top of each one. The Opal dragon was now officialy confused. As she spoke yet again, she said he knew, that he was probably thinking he was seeing something funny but he wasn't. Hopian raised an eye-ridge at this. I didn't say anything, how could you assume I thought it funny? I do wonder though, how you do that. You know, make your eyes change like that, it must be cool, huh? But, what's it for and what were you just after, believe me, I'm not one to make fun of someone, just look at me. I'm the last Opal dragon on Selzar, and alive as far as I know. He growled to her, trying to coax into telling him what was going on, a hint of sadness appearing in his last few words he spoke to her. Hopian loved the way this dragoness looked. This was his first encounter with a snow white dragon, not even the alpha was white, rather silver, but, this female had something about her that made Hopian slowly start to fall for her. He couldn't explain, and believe him, he wasn't planning on doing that either. He would become thie dragoness's mate, if he had to do everything she wanted him to, he would. This was his first friend really in his entire, which spanned the length of 2200 human years, only being 22 dragon years. He had to admit, she didn't look half bad really. She had this sense of things around her that was far greater than she let on. Hopian had to know her, get to know her, become her friend, then mate, and sometime after that, have little dragons of his own. But he was thinking to far ahead. He brought himself out of this self-induced trance of thinking, and awaited the snow white dragoness to speak as he sat down on his haunches, curling his whip like tail around his feet. |

Lumi smiled as he began asking how she could've assumed that he would find it funny. She shook her head. No, no, I meant you probably thought your eyes would be playing tricks on you, That's what most people tend to think when they see my eyes change for the first time. She sighed slightly, knowing that he was right anyway, she shouldn't assume what others thought. She listened as he said that he wished he knew how she changed her eyes like that, and what was it for, and also what she had been after just then. He wouldn't ridicule her, since he knew what it was like to b different, as he was the last Opal dragon he knew of. Lumi smiled. She probably could trust him, but she'd only tell him part of the truth right now. She took a deep breath and nodded. I'll tell you then. But I warn you now, it's kinda... odd. Well, I can.... I can see spirits. It's a little weird, and when they're close enough for me to see them, my eyes go silver, like you saw. My vision becomes tinted too, but not a lot. Like, I can still see that your scales have their rainbow tint, but I can't see the real color of your eyes. Of course, once they're out of range, then I see normally. Oh, I can usually communicate with them too. As for what I was going after just then, it was the spirit I had been following. It was one that I didn't recall meeting, and I was following it when I, um, kinda ran into you. She brushed slightly with embarrassment at remembering her action. It was going away, and I was hoping to at least get its name before it left, but that obviously didn't work. She sat and wrapped her own tail around her, mirroring his position. It was different being with him. She felt almost as if she could tell him anything and he wouldn't care. It was... strange, but... good, she supposed. |

Hopian listened as she spoke to him again. She no, no and that she meant his eyes were playing tricks on him and that was what most dragones tend to think when they see her eyes change for the first time. He watched her sigh, if only slightly, he saw it. The rainbow colored dragon watched her take a deep breath, before nodding. She said she'd tell him but warned him it's kinda odd. When she said she could see spirits, his eyes widened a little as she said she could when their close enough and that was why her eyes go silver. She continued on with saying her vision becomes tinted, like she could see his scale color but not his eye color. She said when their out of range, she sees normally and she can communicate with them. Fascinating. Was all he said as he started to speak again. She said that she had been following a spirit just then and she didn't recall meeting it. She said she was following it when she ran into him. He saw the blush in her face very easily, due to her being snow white which made Hopian smile a little. That was always a good sign, blushing, that they remotely liked you. It was going away and she was hoping to get its name, but it didn't work she said, finishing her story as she mirrored what he had just done. Hopian smiled a little more, he had found a friend. His only friend, his first friend, his best friend. Well, that's definately different, but, I like different. It tells me your different, one of a kind, which is what I like. He growled to her. Your very pretty if I may be so bold as to say so Lumi. I'm suprised the males are not dropping themselves infront of your feet. He growled, a hint of love in his voice. Though they had just met, he felt a connection had happened when they hit each other. Something had been shared between them in that split second, something they both didn't like talking about he was sure. |

Lumi smiled when he said the it was different, but he liked different. It meant that she was one of a kind Thanks. Though sometimes it's not that great to be the only one like this. There are times where it'd be nice to have someone else know what it's like. You must know how that feels, right? She tilted her head up slightly, as if looking into the upper branches of the trees. If she looked, then she could probably find someone that was like her, whereas this dragon had been searching for another like him and found no one. She pulled her mind and eyes back to him as he continued speaking, a slight blush pooling in her cheeks as he said she was very pretty and that he was surprised that males weren't dropping before her feet. It wasn't often that she got compliments like this. She could hear it faintly in his voice, he was flirting. She smiled coyly back at him. I'm sure that you must have females willing to die for you as well. That reminds me, I never did catch your name. This was new. She didn't usually flirt with anyone, heck, she didn't tell her secret to many people either. |

He smiled faintly as she said thanks and it sometimes isn't great to be the only one like that. She said he must kne how that felt. He hung his head a little, but, barely noticeable. Yes, I do. I really wished I could find someone else like me, but, over 7 years I've searched and not found a single one. I've found some with Opal in their blood, but never like me. He growled back, the flirting still there, but, a hint of sadness as well. Hopian looked as the blush appeared in her cheeks. Truth be told, she was pretty. He loved her skin color, because it would show her blush and tell him he was doing something right. I've had a few try to coax me to be with them, but I've vowed not to until I find the right one. The one female who wants me for who I am and not for what I am or how I look. He said as she said she never caught his name. My name's Hopian. I know, not the best name, but, I like it. It keeps me thinking that there's hope in this world. He growled to her, that flirting back in his voice as he did so. |

(sorry for the delay, my teachers launched a combined effort to kill the students ><) (IC:) Lumi nodded as he confirmed that he was the only Opal dragon that he knew of, or the only one like him. A slight smile lit on her face when he said that some had try to coax him, but he wouldn't until he found the right one, the one who loved him for who he was, not for his appearance or bloodline. That's very noble of you. He said his name was Hopian, saying that though it wasn't the best name, he liked it. It kept him thinking there was hope in this world. Lumi smiled again. I like your name as well. It suits you, and you're right, it is very inspiring. Almost as if it's a beam of light in the woods. She was like him, she supposed, but he had gone through so much more. But he had held onto hope for seven years searching for another like him, where she had never looked. She had new respect for Hopian, and felt almost connected to him now. |

(OOC: It's cool, I can pretty much relate to the feeling) Hopian looked up as she said that was very noble of him. Thanks, but, it gets lonely sometimes. He growled back to her and he shifted a little, to try and get comfortable again. Truth be told, your my first friend I've had in a very long time, since I left the nest those many years ago. He told her as she smiled again. He smiled as she said he liked his name and that he was right about it being inspiring. She went on to say it was like a beam of light in the woods. Lumi, I want to thank you for being my friend when no one else would, at least not for the reasons you are. He told her, walking over and giving her the dragon version of a hug before he backed up and sat back down. Really all he had to do was stretch out his neck and he could nuzzle her, but that might be moving to fast. A hug can mean a lot of things which is why he chose to do that instead of the other. |

(Again, super late at posting, but finals are over now, so I should be back) Lumi was surprised when Hopian said she was his first friend he'd had since leaving the nest. Is that so? She wasn't mocking, just contemplative. Well, you're the first to know about my.... ability and not treat me like I'm not.... She let the sentence trail away, leaving the words unsaid. They weren't needed, she thought, not right now. She smiled as he hugged her and thanked her for being his friend. She returned his hug before he moved away. I suppose I should thank you too. I honestly haven't felt so connected to anyone since I was young. It's a good feeling. She smiled again at him and wondered if they could one day be more than friends. Mentally she reminded herself to not jump to anything yet, she didn't know if he felt the same way. |

(Welcome back Wyv, I hope your hear to stay for awhile.) Hopian growled a little as she said is that so and that he was the first to know about her and to not treat her like she wasn't. He looked up, but let it go. She returned his hug, which said something. He listened as she went on to say that she suppose she should thank him. He nodded, half smiling as she continued by saying she hadn't felt so connected with anyone since she was younger, just like him and that it was a good feeling. The Opal dragon growled to her, that smile of hers, she was hiding something but he was too. He was hiding the thought of the two becoming more than friends, hopefully soon. He stood up to his full 30 foot and, with a push from his front legs, he reared onto his hind legs, doubling in height. He lowered back down with a bone jarring thud, the muscles in his front legs, shoulders and down his back, even his stomach rippling with the force of the impact. It had sounded like an explosion going off, just nowhere near as loud as a real one. Hopian growled a little as he looked into her eyes. Perhaps she was thinking the same thing. He wanted to ask her, but, he wasn't totally sure she was thinking the same thing he was. If she was, then he had a mate, someone who'd love him for who he was, not what he was. Lumi, your right, it is a good feeling. He said, repeating the last part of her sentence. He just couldn't say anything else as he lifted his long tail up, being at least half his 60 foot length and let it playfully jump at Lumi, careful about the barbs and the spikes on his tail, even more so about the spike that was at the end of his tail. As Hopian reared onto his back legs, Lumi took a few steps back, so he would have more room coming back down. She looked up at him, his new height making him almost three times as tall as her. He dropped down with a tremendous boom that made Lumi jump. It reminded her of the sound of a rockslide. She noticed that it had set his muscles rippling and tried not to stare, instead meeting his gaze with her own. He echoed her last sentence, saying she was right, it was a good feeling. When he playfully swung his tail at her, Lumi danced equally playfully away from his tail, even though she knew he wasn't trying to hit her. Hey, watch where you swing that!, she teased, giggling. Lumi dropped into a play stance and flicked her own tail towards him, taking care to not actually hit him. Though short, she knew the cluster of spines could hurt someone if they hit. |

Hopian growled playfully back to her as she yelled out, telling him to watch where he swung that. He snapped his head to the right as she swung her tail at him. He growled to her in a playful manner, lunging and pinning her down underneath him rather quickly, thanks to his strength. He bent down and gave Lumi and a nuzzle, a playful yet romantic nuzzle telling her that he wanted to be more than friends, yet in a very subtle way. The Opal dragon jumped back, landing a few feet away with another booming thud. He sat down on his haunches, curling his whip-like-tail to his front, letting it weave back and forth, teasing Lumi to try something. Lumi, I think we are hiding something from each other. I'm not sure about you, but I have to tell you. It's just, I had a thought. Maybe, just maybe, we can be more, much more than just friends. I'm not asking nothing, just really if you feel the same way. Hopian growled to her, leaning forward and playfully nudging her neck with his head before retreating it back. |

(couldn't think of much to say, sorry) Lumi giggled when he growled playfully, a small surprised yelp interrupting her laugh as he pinned her to the ground. He nuzzled her in a slightly romantic way and she returned his gesture before he jumped back. It disappointed her slightly, but she didn't let it show as she stood. He was twisting his tail from side to side, as if daring her slightly. He then said that he thought they were both hiding something from each other. He wasn't sure about her, but he had to say it. He had a thought that maybe, they could be much more than friends. he was just asking if she felt the same way. He gently nudged her and retracted his head. Lumi blushed, her scales turning rosy pink. Well, actually, to be honest... I was thinking that not to long ago myself. She was certain now that she loved him. Not the opal scales that masked him, but actually him. His playfulness, his acceptance, his strength... She loved it all. |

(Same here Wyv, same here) Hopian smiled as she returned his nuzzle and as he jumped back, she began saying something after he finished. He saw her cheeks blush pink, and a smile formed on his face, exposing his white teeth, in a nice way though. She honestly said that's what she was thinking not to long ago. The smile grew ever so bigger, though slowly. He couldn't believe it, his search was now over for the one female that loved him for him, not for his appearance. The Opal dragon stood up, and moved over to her, sitting down beside her as he curled his whip-like-tail around her, playfully moving it over to her tail as he began intertwining his with hers as he rested his head ontop of hers. |

(Again, not much I could think of) She smiled as he did, her heart skipping. He moved to sit next to her and curled his tail around her. She leaned gently into him, feeling the warmth of his body against her scales. His tail entwined hers and he rested his head on hers. Lumi closed her eyes and purred slightly, almost like a cat. She nuzzled the side of his neck lovingly, glad to have found a mate. I she ever saw that spirit again, she'd thank it for leading her here. She snuggled closer to him, wishing this moment wouldn't have to end. |

Hopian purred back, but it being much deeper since he was much larger than she. He tried to return the nuzzle he recieved in his neck but couldn't or he may have his neck spines jab into Lumi, which he didn't want. As he snuggled closer to him, he had to shift a little, otherwise they'd be too close to each other and would end up falling eventually. He was now very thankful he had decided to go for that walk in the woods which he was highly against, but now, he wouldn't change it for anything in the world. If he had went to the lake like he had planned, then none of this would've happened and he'd still be sad for not having anyone but now that he did, he was the happiest dragon in Selzar. |
