The flight from Kukiron was much longer now with the extra weight that she had to bear. Normally, Niradana could make it from Kukiron to Juthivar in only a day's setting, but this time it had taken her a full three days to make the journey. Maybe trying to fly all this way may not have been a good idea, she thought to herself as she woke early and walked into the valley of Virscon. She was in a very well known location to her as she had been here several times before. As far as she was concerned this was her second home. She had come to love Juthivar just as much as she had the desert back home. The only think that would have been better was if Kodak had come with her. As is was though, Kodak needed to stay in Kukiron and take of business in the clan. There was always one dragoness here though that she knew that she could always count on, and had heard some unsettling news that she had just lost her mate. She couldn't fathom what she was going though, on the bright side, at least this loss wasn't by the hands of her body unlike in her last life. Nira shook the thought, and looked up to find the dragoness that she had in mind. Silvera! She yelled up to her. She watched as the Silver dragoness banked towards her, and held a soft smile on her face. She knew that she wasn't expecting her, so she figured that this would be a nice surprise and a perk up for her. Silvera was not herself, or at least she was not the dragoness that she had been. Zurcon, the dragon that she had fallen in love with was gone. He had disappeared a month or two ago, and she had confirmed about a month ago that he had in fact been slain. or at least her scouts said it was him, which she trusted was accurate. She had been left to take care of their three younglings that they had come together with. Of course though, she still had her daily errands to run as the Alpha as well. Making raising her young that much more difficult, and today was no different. Up at dawn making sure that they had what they needed for the day. Nicara had hurt herself recently clipping a tree with her wing breaking it in a few places. AS a healer it was her job to heal her but as her mother she wanted her to learn to be a bit more careful, she she healed all but one of the breaks, and the mended her wing as it would be for it to naturally heal. She didn't like it, but at the very least it helped her. She decided to go ahead and heal it though when she got home tonight. Regardless of the circumstances, Nicara was still her daughter and she didn't like seeing her hurt. Just as she was about to go back to the den for a brief second to go ahead and take care of her daughter, she heard someone yell her name. She turned and looked in the direction of the valley from where it came, and she couldn't believe who was there. Nira had flown all the way from Kukiron in her very obvious pregnant state. She could tell she was ready to burst from here. With a soft sigh she turned to her and descended, landing a few feet from her. Why are you here!? she told Nira in a cold stern tone. Nira jumped back when heard her tone. I'm sorry... she replied immediately not knowing what she did wrong. the force of her jump back hurt a bit from the jerk on her stomach. I heard about what happened to Zurcon. For all I know you're the one who could have killed him. It wouldn't have been the first time you stole something from me... Silvera told her realizing right after she said it that she wasn't talking to the old Nira anymore, completely forgetting about the exorcism. Nira lost her breath when she heard what Silvera had to say to her. This was her best friend saying that to her... Nira turned immediately and started to walk out of the valley. How could you even think that I'd be capable of that. I went though the same hell that you did, and I have to re-live it everyday! She told her through tears. She was a tough dragoness, but this was the one thing that could still easily break her. IT was a mistake, and a wasted 3 day trip coming here... I'm sorry for every bothering you Silvera. I'll leave you alone from this point forward. Goodbye! she told her. Silvera couldn't believe what she had just said to her, and NIra wasted no time firing it back at her. As she got ready to take off, Silvera raced around her, Nira wait... She started. Nira I'm sorry... I didn't mean that... I... I haven't been the same since he died. I've noticed, and it's cost me one of the closest freinds that I've ever had. Now out of my way... I don't know how much long I can carry these eggs and I need to try to get home before I lay them. Nira please.... Don't leave I didn't mean it Nira I really didn't! she told her with her legs buckling underneath her as she sobbed, a tear now rolling down her face. She sisn't want to lose her best friend because she had a tongue slip. Nira looked her over, and gave. Who was she fooling, this was Silvera. this was her best friend who's going through the hardest time of her life now. Nira couldn't really walk away from her. She was still deeply hurt though. she walked over and nuzzled Silvera. That really hurt Sil. I know I'm sorry, though I don't understand, you still shouldn't be hear. You just said yourself you're not even sure if you can make it back with your eggs. It was a risk at the time I thought was worth taking. Am I not worth it now? I'm just hurt Sil. Hurt that somewhere deep down you still think that I'm capable of being a monster when I'm nothing of the sort. I'M SORRY! She yelled completely bawling now. I'm sorry... Hush now,... I'll forget you ever said anything... and I'll forgive you as long as you forgive me for coming here like this? like I have a choice? I couldn't in good conscious even let you leave right now. You are in no condition for flight! There's the Sil we know and love. she told her with a soft purr and lick on her cheek, which was promptly returned. Edited by Silvera, Jun 1 2010, 12:07 AM.

Liara had left earlier that morning to bask in the sun for some alone time. Sarge was nearby, probably hunting while she laid down in the valley, letting the sun bask her scales for the warmth she loved. There was a slight breeze so that made everything even more relaxing. She knew it was any day now that she would give birth to the eggs inside of her. She was larger now and wished Sarge would be back soon so they could head back to the Tree and take a nap. In fact, she was starting to feel sleepy from the sun that made her warm. Her claws sank into the cool earth as she let out a sigh. Sarge must have been far because she couldn't pick up his scent anymore. He probaby thought it was fine leaving her for a few minutes or possibly hours. That was fine with her, though. If she needed any help she would just wait for him to come back or yell for him. He had good hearing, so she wasn't worried about anything. When the first jab of pain came, she thought nothing of it. It was small and barely recognizable. She had some of this pain throughout her pregnancy. It was normal and she didn't care for it. But when the second one came with an elevated pain level, she could feel her heart start to beat a bit faster. There was usually only one jab, not two. And when the third came, she was getting scared. She knew she was due any day now, but when Sarge wasn't here with her, it made her even more nervous. Taking slow, deep breaths, she tolerated the pain, hopingthat it would pass on. If it got really bad, she would yell for help, but she couldn't admit defeat so quickly when it was probably just a false alarm. She had one other false alarm just two days ago, but nothing else happened out if the ordinary. It was in the middle of the night in the den when she had fierce pains in her abdomen but an hour later it recoded. They hadn't called a healer yet because her water hadn't broken. They just continued the day without worry. But when Liara heard a splash beneath her, she got on all fours, seeing herself dripping. She thought she had an accident at first, but noticed the smell almost immediately. This had to be the worst time to go into labor where Sarge wasn't near her to help. Liara tried to move a few feet but the pain from walking hurt her. All she could do was stay in her place and call for help. As she laid down, she felt the pain recede a bit. Being on her feet must have agravated the eggs a bit. Sarge still wasn't here and she picked up no hint of his scent. There was only one thing she could do, and she wouldn't have to be ashamed of this. She had to call out for help. Sarge, where are you? Anybody, please help! HELP! She called out with all her might, even giving a roar for emphasis. Somebody had to be around in the Valley. |

Sarge crouched low in the grass, stalking a herd of deer. His coloration didn't exactly blend with the grass, but his smaller size allowed him to look like a boulder or rock. He'd left Liara alone for the time being, though only because he needed to hunt for her. She was due to lay her eggs any day now, and Sarge had been by her side as much as he could. It worried him to leave her alone, aggravated by the , when she could go into labor at any time. His only consolation was that Liara could scream for him. Very, very loudly. Sarge stalked closer towards the deer, making sure to give the deer no lateral movement to spot. When the time was right, Sarge pounced. The herd of deer scattered, but Sarge's target was not so lucky. Sarge immediately clamped down on the deers neck, snapping it with a twist of his head. Then, in the distance, he heard a scream and a roar. Someone calling his name, calling for help. Sarge knew who that was instantly. Sarge immediately snapped open his wings and jumped into the air, leaving his kill for the vultures. He flew as fast as his wings could carry him. He raised in altitude, then scanned the ground, searching for his beloved. He spotted a purple mass in the distance a few minutes later, and immediately folded his wings, diving down as fast as he could. Such was his speed that he needed to run a few paces to slow down once he touched the ground. Liara! Sarge called turning and bounding towards her. She was lying on her side, panting, a pool of pungent liquid staining the ground. Liara was going into Labour. Sarge eyes widened as he realized this, his heart skipped a beat, and for a moment, he stopped breathing. But only for a moment. He could tell Liara was afraid, so he nuzzled her neck gently, trying to soothe her and calm her down. I'm here, Liara, Sarge said gently, It'll be alright. Just stay calm, relax. It'll be okay. Though that was good advice, Sarge knew that Liara needed more than just him. She needed a trained healer. Hold on, Liara, he said, pulling away, I'm going to get you some help. Aries!? Silvera!? Mom!? I need a healer! Sarge called out, both mentally and in his mind, Any healer! Liara's going into labor! My mate is going into labor! Sarge went back to Liara, nuzzling her again, before laying down beside her, waiting for help to arrive. The fact that they were in the open worried him more, and he kept his eyes out for any signs of danger. Edited by Sarge, Jun 2 2010, 12:07 AM.

Nira was still sorely hurt from Silvera's comment. She knew now that she didn't really mean it, but it still hurt to hear that come from her. She could feel herself straining more and more with the eggs that were inside her. She tried to calm her thoughts as she looked to the beautiful dragoness in front of her. She knew that she had pushed things a bit when she had flown here and was actually thankful that Sil stopped her. Come on Sil, I'm sure we can think of better things to do than to lay here and cry. She told her pulling her snout up and wiping a tear from it as if she were her daughter. She was young enough to be her daughter that was for sure. Silvera looked up to her when she lifter her snout to hers and wiped the tear from her cheek. She couldn't help but smile and give Nira gentle like. I'm so sorry Nira, I've just been so tense lately, and seeing you here in you're condition made me snap. No matter how you look at it, you shouldn't have tried to come here like that. If you would have gone into labor or something happened to you on the way here, no one would have known about it. I'm sorry, but even if you wanted to, I can't let you leave now. That's perfectly fine. I didn't want to leave anyway. I guess that settles.... she started to say as a raor caught her attention that sounded like someone calling for help. When she heard another one yelling for a healer specifically, her heart stopped. Nira, I need to go now! Someones hurt and in trouble! I know I heard it to and I'm coming with you. Silvera wanted to protest, but didn't really have time as both dragonesses pushed themselves up into the air. It wasn't long until Silvera saw Liara on her side with Sarge right there next to her. LIARA! Silvera yelled at her going into almost a vertical dive flaring her wings to catch herself just before impact with the ground. Nira followed Silvera slowly. For some reason she was starting to feel a lot of pain in her lower abdomen. She wasn't sure what was causing the pain until she felt a major contraction inside of her that nearly made her fall from the sky. It resided though. that was close she thought landing next to Sil panting... Silvera walked over to Liara and was going to ask what was wrong until she saw the birthing fluid on the ground and the trail of it leading up into her. She gave her a sold smile and a re-assuring lick on the side of her neck. Just relax Liara, everything will be okay. I'm here now, and you'll be fine. She told her looking to Sarge. I'm going to need your help with this since Aries isn't here yet, and I don't think she's able to wait any longer, and Nira is in no condition to help. Judging from the way she looks she isn't too far away herself. she told him turning to Nira noticing the looks of pain in her as well. |

The pain was starting to pick up as she laid there helplessly, hoping someone was going to come help her. She knew she couldn't give birth alone like this in the Valley. Being out in the open made her extremely vulnerable. A creature could come by and steal her egg. She would be in too much pain to stop that from happening. Her heart sank when she waited a couple more minutes without a scent of anything besides some deer grazing nearby. The sharp jabs of pain continued as she closed her eyes, trying to keep her mind off of the pain. When she heard wing beats above her, she opened her eyes, thankful to see the gray dragon land next to her. He nuzzled her on the neck, and for a second her mind drifted away from the pain. She knew this was the size of a grain compared to the pain she was going to have later. He said words of encouragement to her, to which she nuzzled him back. He stepped away from her briefly, saying that he was going to get help. He too called out for help, but mentally. Hopefully both of their cries would be heard, heightening the urgency in this situation. After that, he laid down next to her, nuzzling her. She was on her side, feeling her stomach move up and down as she breathed, trying to take deep breaths to calm herself down. Not moments later, a huge weight lifted off of her as she spotted the white dragoness land next to them. That was the only thing she was worried about; not having a healer nearby if something happened to go terribly wrong. There was another dragoness with her, appearing to be due any time now. From the looks the female was giving off and from Liara's very recent experience, she knew the dragoness wasn't far from being in labor herself. There was some pain written on her face and knew she was probably going into labor too. Silvera gave her a hardly reassuring lick. The thought was the thing that counted, so Liara put that into account. She didn't feel like pushing yet, but knew her walls were still dilating. The side of her head rested on the ground as her breaths swayed the grass before her snout. Her heart was starting to race as the pain continued. Where's Aries? Surely you won't be able to help two dragons in labor at the same time, Sil, no matter how gifted you are in the art of healing. She felt another jab of pain and winced, still not entirely getting her head around the fact that she was about the give birth to the eggs of their next generation. |

A golden figure floated through the sky, his muscular form gracefully moving up and down as his wings beat the air to keep him a loft. Emerald green eyes scanned the land wondering where exactly he was, it looked a lot like Inferno Valley, his old home. Figures below caught his attention and they all looked too big to be deer. Adonis was this bulls name. Adonis was a humble and gentle giant you could say, he never fought if he didn't have a reason to. He loved young ones, that was something he longed for children of his own. Adonis stretched his body and then his jaws, a snapping noise echoing through the sky as he let out a sigh of relief. The last meal he had struggled way too much, why does he always get the angry bucks? This one was huge too, it will keep him going for days. Adonis looked down sharply again hearing roar was distress. Someone down there needed help, and it sounded like a female dragoness. He bolted down towards the group of dragons landing a few feet away. "Is everyone okay here? I heard the roars..." Adonis asked softly looking at the females and the male, two of them looked like they were in deep distress and pain. The one was lying on the ground, what was happening to them? Adonis thought for a moment, maybe they are in labor? Edited by Luna, Jun 2 2010, 08:09 PM.

Sarge let out a sigh of relief as he spotted Silvera bank towards them, smiling a little and nuzzling Liara again to reassure her. He looked back up, and saw that Silvera was accompanied by another dragon, someone he was not familiar with. He was a little hesitant with letting an unknown dragon approach his mate, especially in her condition. Silvera didn't seem concerned with it, so Sarge hesitantly reasoned it would be okay to let the stranger near. As Silvera and her companion neared, Sarge could tell the newcomer was female and pregnant, and when she landed, he could tell that she was about to go into labor. Oh hell, how's Silvera going to deal with two birthings? he thought, but kept his opinions to himself as Silvera approached them. She inspected Liara briefly, before smiling and giving Liara a lick, reassuring her. The silver dragoness then turned to Sarge, and told him that she'd need his help, as Aries wasn't here yet. Oh boy, Sarge thought with a nervous gulp. Sarge had no experience with this; the last egg-laying he was aware of was that of his sister's, and he'd been waiting outside the entire time. There was one thing he was sure of, though. Liara would be in lots of pain. Anything for Liara, he reminded himself, as he calmed himself down, before looking up at Silvera, and asking, What do you need me to do? Moments later, however, Sarge spotted a very large, full grown gold dragon approaching them. Sarge crouched down low, keeping his stance ready, as the gold dragon approached. He backed up towards Liara protectively, wary of the large male. The male looked at the group, a concerned expression in his green eyes. He asked if everyone was okay, saying he had heard roars. At this, Sarge stood up properly, but kept wary, not willing to trust this male with Liara in her condition. My mate is going into labor, Sarge answered him, watching him carefully, And the other dragoness over there seems pretty close as well. Sarge extended a wing and placed it over Liara's side, watching the golden male, but still alert and paying attention to anything Silvera might need him to do. |

Silvera watched everyone closely. Liara was stable for the most part which was good. She knew things were going to get hectic, and that there was a very high possibility of have to deal with two dragonesses laying at the same time. She looked back at Nira whom had the look of sever pain on her face as well. By the ancestors, not now! I can NOT handle both of them at the exact same time by my self, she said to herself. When she heard Sarge asked what she needed him to do, she wasted no time. I need you to position yourself on this side of her and help her with the eggs by moving them out of the way. The eggs can't land on one another or both eggs will crack and die. It may make you uncomfortable, but I can't sedate her pain and tend to the eggs. She said as she heard splattering liquid on the ground. Her heart skipped a beat as she looked over to Nira and what she was dreading had happened. With a soft whimper at the enormous amount of pressure that had just been placed on her. She wanted to just leave right now, but she couldn't in goodness of herself do that. Nira, if you can make it over here, Lay down opposite of Liara. The only way that I'm able to even come close to being able to do this while trying to take care of both of you is if you are both are right next to each other. Sarge, You're really not going to like this, but I really need your help now with both of them! she told him. Much to her relief, another dragon showed up saying that he had heard the roars and was asking if everyone was okay. Sarge was quick to distrust him, and given the situation, she wasn't all that trusting either, but at this point she needed all the help that she could get. I have no idea what you are capable of, but if you have anything that can heal or help reduce pain, It would be greatly appreciated. she thought to herself. Did she really want to trust one of her clan and her best friend to the talons of a complete stranger? Did she have a choice at this point? If she told him to get lost he could easily over power her right now. He was a lot larger than she was. She let out a sigh, Nira, would it be alright if... she was cut off by a short lick and a wince of pain from Nira as she could feel her insides constricting tell her that she needed to start pushing but not wanting to yet. I know what you are going to ask, do what you have to do. She heard Nira tell her. With that she gave a nod. You! I apologize in advance for the rudeness that my tone may carry, but this is a serious emergency. I need you to help me please! I need you to come over here and Help me take care of the purple dragoness. I need you to help with her eggs, or one of these dragonesses will otherwise very likely die! she yelled. She knew it wasn't very reassuring, but with both of them in labor at the same time Silvera was being realistic. If both of them ended up having a major problem during birthing, She would be placed in a very, very unwanted position of choosing who lives and who dies... She knew that because if she chose to work on one, she most likely wouldn't make it to the the in time to save her. Dammit I can't do this. she said to herself tears in her eyes almost being completely unable to handle this much pressure right now, not after just loosing her mate as well. ARIES, ALARA, NYVYRIA, ANYONE WITH HEALING MAGIC, I NEED YOU HERE NOW!!!! she yelled sending a massively loud roar thought the clan lands. If there was anything that she was good at it was making herself heard. Edited by Silvera, Jun 3 2010, 09:05 PM.

Liara could feel the pain increase with every passing minute. Of course, all she could do was lay there and wait for nature to take its course at this point. With Silvera only being there and Sarge so nervous, she knew this was going to be very painful. She wasn't ever selfish, but some thoughts passed through her head that the dragoness shouldn't have shown up so Sil would be able to focus directly on her. That definitely was changing, and she knew it was horrible to think that in the first place. It was strange to have two dragonesses pregnant at the same time in the same place. Her heart was starting to race. Her feelings weren't getting any better as he saw a huge dragon cone from above. Again, she had never laid eyes on this dragon before, and neither had Sarge as he stood very protectively over Liara. It gave her pride to know she had such a wonderful mate, but that was shortlived. She was so vulnerable and he was so big... One swipe of his massive paw and she would be dead with her unborn children. But his demeanor was relaxed, not one of a votile stature. He came over, asking what was wrong as he had heard the roars. Maybe he was going to help them, however that may be. Sil spoke to him quickly, along with Sarge about what was going to happen and what she needed from them. Their voices droned out for the time being as Liara focused on the pain, trying to take in happy memories so it would drift away. She wasn't feelig the urge to push yet, even though the other dragoness appeared to be. It was strange. This dragoness was feeling the urge to push while Liara didn't even when she was in labor longer. She let out some moans, feeling the pain jab at her repeatedly in the abdomen, making her feel nauseated and homesick. Oh, how she wished to be in her den right now, at least in a warm environment. Those thoughts were short lived when she felt more pains. ~~~ Alara lay in her nest inside her cozy den. The air came nicely through the den opening, making her our softly as she gazed at the beautiful eggs in the nest resting close to her. They looked so peaceful and quiet with some leaves bustling around them from the slight breeze. Finn was out hunting while she protected the eggs. If anything happened to them, she would blame herself regardless of how it happened. But when the roar and mental shouting came to her mind and ears, she stood up bolt right, knowing immediately that it was Sil. She flew out the den quickly, asking a well known den neighbor to watch over the eggs. She didn't wait for a response as she flapped her wings in the direction of the roars. She flew over the Valley, breathig in every second to search for the smell. Then she picked up Sil, Sarge, Nira, and Liara's scent. There was one other very unknown to her, but if Sil allowed it, she didn't dare question the Alphess. She found them in the wide open. There was a strong smell of birthing fluids... Something Alara never got used to. She shuddered at the memory of her labor, remembering the deformed egg she had to live with, imagining every worst outcome it held for the future. She landed ten yards from them, rushing over as quickly as possible. Liara was in labor, along with Nira. It was a strange sight, seeing two dragonesses in labor, but that meant there would need twice the help, and that must have been why Sil called for someone who knew how to heal. Oh, Liara, Nira... How are you feeling? There was a wince from her friend Liara and she knew exactly how she felt. She didn't need to say anything. Alara turned to Sil. This is the strangest sight I've ever seen. What would you like me to do? I've been resting all day watching over my eggs, so I'm all full of energy for healing. Edited by Emz, Jun 3 2010, 08:49 AM.

Adonis frowned and nodded, standing close to Nira. "I know this isn't the time for introductions so I will formally introduce myself later on." he said looking at all of them before looking up at the two dragons coming towards them, the silver female's roar was powerful, was she the ruler of these lands? The idea rolled around in his head. Adonis sat down next to Nira close to her hind quarters waiting for further instruction. He thought long and hard about how he could help the dragoness. He knew nothing of healing magic, he only knew lightning fire and earth. Adonis felt very helpless but did whatever he could to help anyway, just so he felt like he helped somewhat. A soft paw touched Nira's back, his touch was very gentle and comforting. "It will be okay, I know I am a stranger but I would do nothing to hurt you or your fellow clan dragons. Please let me help in anyway I possibly can." Adonis said soothingly, looking to Silvera for further instruction. |

Sarge blinked as Silvera tasked him with catching Liara's eggs and moving them out of the way so they wouldn't hit each other and possibly crack. That would be very bad indeed, and considering they were his children as well, he gladly moved to Liara's other side and extended a wing, curling it to catch the eggs as she laid them. He would use his wing to guide the eggs gently to the ground, into a moss covered basin he depressed into the ground using earth magic. Moments later, however, the other purple dragoness's water broke, and Silvera instructed her to lay by Liara, their stomachs facing each other. Silvera then tasked him with attending to both dragoness's eggs. Sarge stared at her for a moment, his mouth slightly agape. Aw crap... he thought to himself, before shaking his head, and extending his other wing, curling it to catch Nira's eggs as well. He created another basin to place the eggs in, and then waited for them to come. Sarge was rather nervous now. He had to watch to dragonesses laying eggs, catch two sets of eggs and prevent them from hitting each other. He responsibility placed on him had just doubled. Though he would try his best to prevent any eggs from breaking, he knew that if two eggs were in danger and he could only attend to one, he would save Liara's. He knew it was hardly fair to Nira, but he couldn't let one of his own clutch be lost. Alara arrived, lessening the pressure on Silvera to lessen the pain to the dragonesses in labor, and Silvera assigned the large golden male to assist Nira's eggs. Sarge sighed in relief at that; he was back to being responsible for Liara's eggs only. He nodded at the male. Use your wings to catch the eggs and gently put them in that nest I made earlier, Sarge said pointing his snout at the moss covered depression he had made for Nira's eggs. |

Silvera was relieved when she saw that Alara had heard her and had come to help. She was so grateful for her right now that words could not express. When Alara asked her what she needed her to do, Silvera pointed to Nira with one of her talons. I need you to help with Nira. I can't pay attention to both of them at once. She told Alara as she moved over to Liara and nuzzled her. Whenever you are ready Liara. The soon you push them out, the sooner you will fell better. she told her as she waited ready for anything. She turned to Nira as she noticed that fluids were still flowing from her, and she could see the bulge moving down her, Alara, gold, I need you to get in position now, she's in the process of laying the first egg. She told them as she watched the bludge move closer to her slit. Nira was in an amount of pain that she had never felt before. Her stomach was on fire, and she could only feel herself trembling as the eggs started to move inside of her. When she saw the golden bull rest next to her and heard the other dragon named Sarge tell him how to catch the eggs with his wing and place them in the nest that he had made for them. She would have to make a notion to thank everyone here. Especially Silvera. She felt bad for coming now and putting this much strain on her. She didn't know she was going to go into labor this soon. She thought she still had a couple days, she would be kicking herself mentally for this now. Her eggs though were making sure she felt everything physically now though. With one sharp contraction, she felt one of the eggs start moving down the birthing tunnel. The pain, she was being stretched internally, and it felt nothing like when Kodak was inside of her. She was old enough that she wouldn't tear from the eggs leaving her, but they were still painful to deliver. She felt it start sliding down her and began to push through her opening. Her eyes were completely closed from the pain that she was feeling. She could only help that the other male was in position before the egg was completely out. |

Liara just had enough of her attention span available for Sil to tell her that she could push whenever she was ready; the sooner the better and faster. Oh, how she wanted the eggs out if her right now. The pain was becoming excruciating, and she only wanted to feel Sarge's warm embrace. But everything around her felt cold regardless of the hot sun overhead. She shut her eyes tightly as she felt a bulge in her stomach slowly slide down. It didn't feel like much of a difference, considerig her size, but the pain was constant. It didn't feel like there was any tearing, which was a good thing. Her thoughts wandered constantly from the family she was going to have and how much longer the pain would last. There was a deep, low groan coming from within her throat. She tried to get in a better position for what was to come. Liara wasn't entirely sure it would make much of a difference either way. The pain would still be there no matter what, unless someone had the magic to help the pain calm down. The pain was intense. The bulge continued to move down at a slow rate, sliding down easily through her shute. The birthing fluids were definitely helping lubricate everything in her reproductive cavity to smooth the labor along. She barely even felt the first egg, grayish purple with white veins, fall away from her slit and onto Sarge's awaiting wing. ~~~ Alara listened to Silvera's instructions carefully, taking a position next to Nira. So the bull was supposed to catch the eggs from Nira, while Alara took care of her as a whole. First, she would make sure nothing was tearing as the egg moved down the shute. Once she knew it wasn't, she focuse her main attention on her heart rate and the pain she was experiencing. She needed to keep that pain at a minimal level to make sure Nira didn't pass out or anything during the labor. Giving encouraging licks to Nira's cheek, Alara still kept her eyes on the bull. She wasn't entirely sure whether she should let him be the one to catch the eggs. She didn't know him at all, and how he showed up so randomly didn't ease the situation much at all. But they didn't have time to dwell on that now. You got it, Nira, just keep on pushing. The first one is almost out. You're doing great. Alara could start to feel a slow steady flow of energy leaving her as she concentrated on easing the pain that Nira was experiencing. She hoped it was working or else being there was just pointless. She continued to say words of encouragement, licks on the cheek, and hopeful prayers that she was doing a good job with this. The first egg was coming, and fast. |

My God... I'm so late.. Aries thought as she flew hurriedly towards the Valley. She'd heard Liara's cry for help, but she had been in the middle of healing someone else and hadn't been able to leave right away. She oould only pray someone else had reached her faster than she was doing; a dragoness going into labour alone, in the middle of the wilderness wasn't a good thing. So many things could go wrong... As she reached the Valley, however, she was assured as she saw a large crowd there; Silvera, Alara, Sarge, a dragon she didn't know and Nira, along with Liara. But... Both Nira and Liara were on the ground, looking as if they were giving birth. Of course! Nira was near her time, too.. She was confused as to how she'd gotten there, but that didn't matter then. Liara, Nira, are you both alright? she asked, landing carefully and looking around, giving Sarge a reassuring nod. |

Sarge watched anxiously as Liara shut her eyes at the pain of birthing, the bulge of their first egg slowly moving down her body. He held his wing ready to catch the egg, but wished that he could do something for Liara's pain. At that moment, Aries swooped in, asking both pregnant dragonesses if they were alright. She also gave Sarge a nod, indicating that he was doing good. Sarge let out a sigh of relief; he felt much better knowing that his sister was here to help take care of Liara. His eyes went back to his task as Liara shifted to a better position, the bulge on her stomach slipping lower and lower, until finally the egg slipped out of her, and into Sarge's waiting wing. Gotcha, Sarge said softly, admiring the shine of the grayish purple egg with veins of white, that was cradled in his wing. He gazed at it for a moment, before gently rolling it into the nest he had made, and repositioning his wing to catch the next egg. Edited by Sarge, Jun 21 2010, 11:56 AM.

Adonis listened to instructions carefully, moving his wing out under the egg, cradling it as the smooth oval dropped out of Nira. The golden bull caught it with ease dropping it in the make shift nest carefully that was made for her eggs. He got into position to catch the next one, watching closely. "Doing good, your egg is safe and looks completely normal and quite beautiful I might add." Adonis looked to Nira than the egg, smiling warmly. He would get his chance to be a dad.

Silvera was concentrating on Liara as she started to push out the first egg. She watched carefully as the bulge moved lower and lower on her body until her slit stretched itself open to allow the eggs to smoothly slide out of her. She started to feed Liara some healing magic to help ease her pain. As she started though she heard another dragon land. She looked up when she did, and what she saw relieved her even more. It was Aries. Aries! Silvera said with what sounded almost like a sigh of relief. Thank our ancestors that you're here. she started as she continued with Liara. I need you to feed both of them with your energy right now and keep them both alert. she added trying to keep everything running smoothly. Pain, that was the only thing that Nira could feel right now. The egg that was slipping through her felt like it weighed as much as a mountain of lead. Slowly the first egg slipped out of her, and she could feel a second egg starting to make it's way down her shoot. More birthing liquid spewed from her as she felt the egg push through the opening of her womb and actually moved into her birthing tunnel. What she couldn't understand was how the eggs where causing her so much pain when they weren't that much larger than Kodak was in girth, and she loved how Kodak felt inside of her. She would forever be baffled by that fact. |

Liara couldn't hear or see anything at the moment; all she could feel was the incredible pain rocking her body constantly. The pain seemed to lessen, but only slightly as she could feel the presence of Silvera next to her. The healer was amazing at what she did, and Liara didn't deny that. However, she did wish the pain would stop soon, or else she would lose all sense of sanity and that was a fact. Just knowing that there were dragons around her for the two of them made her feel good inside. She was giving birth to their first clutch of eggs, and she could only imagine what it would be like to see them hatch and around them everywhere. The second egg was moving ever so slowly down her shute now, and the pain stayed constant instead of a rising pain. Still, it felt overwhelming, and if Aries hadn't been feeding energy into her body, Liara would have passed out. It felt like an eternity for the second one to come out, but it was much quicker than the first now that the fluids coated her shute. It slid easily out of her slit onto Sarge's wing. It was deep violet with black veins with an average size to it. She opened her eyes slightly through the pain to see two of her eggs laying peacefully in the bed. There only felt to be one more left inside of her. What she realized now was that the weight in her stomach was taken away so much, and she almost felt normal for as if the eggs weren't inside of her. That one was still coming down, but it seemed slower this time. She still pushed and pushed, waiting for it to come down. ~~~ Nira's egg slid out easily onto the male stranger's outstretched wing. She could feel her tense up as he carefully placed the egg onto the bed. She didn't deny it, but she figured the male would break the egg and take a run for it. It wasn't every day that a stranger just showed up out of nowhere to take care of a dragoness in birth. Her concentration was all on Nira as she sent a constant feed of healing into her, trying to ease the pain. Her energy was starting to drain, but no matter the discomfort, she continued to make sure to keep Nira feeling better and comfortable during this rough time. Alara could only imagine how that pain felt for the both of them. There didn't seem to be any problems at the moment with Nira, as it only looked to be one more egg left inside of her. If there was any complication, she would be there no matter what. |

What did I drop into? Aries wondered slightly as she moved over to the two dragons, smiling at them even though Liara looked like she couldn't much see it. She looked quite distracted as it was. Nira also looked to be in great pain, but then again, they were giving birth. it was to be expected. Don't worry, Sil. she told her sister calmly, sitting between the two and touching them both with snout and tail. Closing her eyes, she focused her flow of energy into the two dragonesses who were getting more and more exhausted as time went on. She didn't try to numb the pain as was her instinct, becuase this painw as unfortunately necessary, as was all the other birth symptoms; fever, tightness of breath and so on. She only made sure they were conscious and had energy, stimulating their brains by encouraging dopamine secretions- it wouldn't hurt the baby, but it would keep them alert. How are they doing? How close to the end? she asked Silvera after some time, not sure how long ago the birth had started or how many eggs either had. |
