Silvera found herself in laying in the valley once again. This had become a hobby of hers either laying in the lake or here in the valley with Nicara. Nicara had grown a lot of the last year or so and was now just above Silvera's knees at her shoulders. Nicara had been learning how to hunt properly and Silvera was watching her trying to help her learn. With the dangers that roamed in the land now, with the black dragon that had raped her and the Jorthian which they still had to take care of.

Everything was good today though. The weather was gorgeous outside with the exception of being rather windy, but that could be tolerated and the winds were just enough to make flying fun, but not dangerous. While she waited for Nicara to come back, she figured that she would make herself comfortable. The tall grasses of the plains being a good place to seek refuge right now from her normal duties.

Just was she got comfortable, Nicara came back. Mother, I'm back She heard as she looked over to her.

I know, I could pick your scent before you got here. The winds are good about giving away a position like that. She told her as Nicara laid in front of her.

Nicara had felt herself growing a lot, and quickly disliked the quickness of her growth from the constant ache she had from growing. Her and mother had come for her to work on her hunting abilities and ultimately figure out her place within the clan. Right now though she was still about having fun as she had just turned three draconic years old.

At only five feet tall at the most, she was still much too small to be able to hunt some of the larger animals so right now she would have to focus on smaller animals like rabbits, foxes, and other birds. She didn't go too far away from mother though. She had learned not to go to far away from her the hard way one she had left to go swimming without telling her and couldn't leave the den for a week other than to relieve herself.

She found a small hare and returned to where her mother was resting telling her that she was back. When her mother replied that she already know that, and that she could tell from her scent in the wind. She frowned when she did. Is there anything I can do to help that?

Not really, you can't control the weather so there so you can't do anything about that, however, there is a way you can use it to your advantage though. I'll save that lesson for later though. she heard her mother tell her and frowned. She wanted to know how to do it now. She saw that mother looked comfortable, and it had been a while since she had seen her like that. Especially since father died.

A few miles away from the two dragons was another dragon. It was another fem, lying on the ground with her wings spread out like she was bathing in the sunlight. Her eyes were closed but she was still awake, more like in a trance. She could hear the wind swishing the grass, the flies buzzing and the water from yesterday rainstorm dripping. It sounded like music to her ears. A lullaby that made her want to sleep. Her father used to always do this, in a good day, lie down with wings spread and listen to nature's song. Shannon had asked how her father had learned this when he told her his past life was so different, far from peaceful like this. It was in fact Nanuk, her mother that taught him. It was the time they first met, where Neptune lied beside her and relaxed for the first time in his life. She never knew her mother, she died before she hatched. However, her father told her a lot about her mother, so in a way she knows her. When she's like this, she felt like her mother was lying at her side, comforting her with her presence.

Shannon was very close to dousing off, to dream. Her father told her that when you go to sleep in this state you get nothing but good dreams. It's what Nanuk had always told him. She heard voices at the distance that broke her out of her trance. Shannon opened her dark smoky green eyes and looked down at the valley to see Silvera and her daughter. The exotic dragoness knew them, Silvera was the Alphess of the Clan, she wasn't exactly new here, she lived in the Clan for three years now. A shocker for a dragoness that traveled all her life. Well she didn't want to travel all the time like her father did, he was forever paranoid and scared after the rogues had attacked and killed Nanuk. She frowned, wishing that her mother really was here. How different it would be to actually have a mother and not a dreamed up mother that she always imagine at her side. Shannon couldn't believe she could miss someone so much that she never even met. She envied Silvera's and Nicara's relationship, she thought how lucky Nicara must be to have both of her parents when Shannon only had one.

It made her bitter for a few moments she turned her head away from them and lied her head down on her black and yellow front legs. She wished that she was Nicara instead, hell she wished all daughters didn't have their mothers with them. Shannon immediately felt bad for thinking such things. It wouldn't be fair, they shouldn't have to suffer what she suffers. She thought for a few moments, maybe she could never have a mother but maybe one day she would be a mother. Shannon would still be able to have a mother and daughter relationship, just when she finds herself a suitable mate and bare a daughter. That would be something. However that doesn't mean she would just pick any male. Nope, she only wants strong capable males. Like Avalon. The exotic colored fem closed her eyes, imagining that strong black scaled dragon, those hard eyes. Her mouth drooled and her body temperature rose. Oh yes, a guy like Avalon but even guys like that she would want to love him and him to love her. She wants the same relationship Nanuk and Neptune had. Her father gave her lots of stories about them together and it sounds so beautiful.

Yet, there is one problem. Avalon already had a mate, though she was gone forever she wondered if Avalon would ever even notice her. Or if he would never get over Dawn. And what if he did notice her, they become mates and everything, love each other. There is that fact that she would most likely be second compared to Dawn. Shannon shook her head, tired of thinking about this. She got to her paws, folding her wings to her sides and padded down to Silvera and her daughter. Some company would do her some good. Its never healthy to stay so distant from everyone and she felt she already did too much of that already. Shannon waved her tail once she was close enough.
Good day! She greeted.

Silvera laid there with Nicara. She was no stranger of the events that happened to her father and figured out rather quickly that he had been killed. It was rough for the first couple days, especially when Nicara broke and told the other two that father was never coming home because he was dead. That caused quite a stir for her to try to handle and get everyone calmed down after she had to confirm what Nicara had said.

After all of that though Nicara was showing signs of her magic starting to come into play. It wasn't too obvious at first and it was completely uncontrolled. Silvera first noticed her magic when was playing with Kelron and Kelron accidently tore a gaping hole in her wing. Silvera saw it happen, and was coming over to heal her wing, but had found that the wing had healed itself. It was obvious then she had at least inherited Silvera's healing magic, and she would be able to teach her how to perfect it.

It wasn't too long after that though that another dragoness came into the picture. A dragoness that had been in the clan for a while now. Her name was Shannon, and although Silvera and Nicara didn't know her extremely well, Silvera knew that she had an extremely rough past just like her. Good day to you as well Shannon. she told her, the dragoness looking in general as if something had her down. Are you alright? You look kind of down today, she added. She wasn't trying to be nosy or stir up anything, she just wanted everyone in her clan to be happy even if she herself on the inside was far from it, still fighting the loss of her mate.

Nicara just laid there while the other dragoness walked over. She had only met the dragoness a couple times before now so didn't really know her all that well. She figured though that while the grownups were talking she could find something to do here in the fields to play with.

Just as she was about to walk away from the grownups, some of the taller grasses tickled her nose and she left out a harsh sneeze, but she felt very, very cold from it. When she opened her eyes from her sneeze she saw where the cold was coming from. The blades of grass that was in front of her was frozen solid in ice. It made her wonder, and she tried again. She couldn't get it to come out again. She frowned, Mommy, why can't I make the grass freeze again? I had to sneeze and when I looked up there was ice on the grass in front of me, but I can't do it again... she told her mother in a half whine

Good day to you too Shannon, she heard Silvera greet back to her with a nod. Shannon blinked and shook her head, and smiled, trying to look happy. But her eyes betrayed her when she looked at the two together. She remembered finally that Nicara doesn't have two parents anymore, her father is gone, died recently. It was a heavy loss for the Clan but it must be even heavier on Nicara and Silvera. Though the alphess doesn't look too troubled she knew she must be hurting. She loved her mate a lot. It reminded her of how much Neptune lost when Nanuk had died. It made her think twice on falling in love, but she knew from her father's stories that love sounds too amazing to not risk it. Plus that love is unpredictable and something you can't choose or avoid, much like fate. Neptune always told her that her mother was big on fate and that nothing that happens is a coinsidence, that everything happens with a reason. It made her think that maybe Nanuk's death was meant to happen. It made her shudder just by the thought of that.

Are you alright? the exotic colored fem blinked and pushed away the troubling thoughts to the back of her mind. You look kind of down today. Shannon lied down next to the dragoness, making up another fake smile, better than the first one. No, its nothing, Just when she said that Nicara came over. Mommy, why can't I make the grass freeze again? I had to sneeze and when I looked up there was ice on the grass in front of me, but I can't do it again... She heard Nicara say. Shannon's eyes glowed with amusement. It reminded her of her days when she was as young as Nicara, having strong healing abilities and with hard controlling fighting elements. Hers wasn't ice like Nicara's but they were chaotic types, fire first and energy. She still had trouble controlling the two elements, it's quite embarrassing for a dragon her age but she's still practicing, away from everyone because she tried to conceal it from everyone. It was bad enough that she knew she wasn't as good as most on fighting elements but admitting it to everyone is worse than knowing you are.

Shannon looked up and found a few dragons flying in the sky. They went for a land on the other side of the valley. She could see from the distance on one dragon in the bunch. It was him... The dragoness blushed at the handsome black bull. Avalon was like her dream come true... well it can't be unless he even talks to her. Oh how much she would wish she was beside that strong body of his. Well she wished he never met Dawn, because that seems to be what he thinks about most of the time. Immediately she felt bad for thinking that, he loved her and that was that. Shannon looked away and sighed, better think twice than try and go after him as her mate. She wouldn't want her heart to shatter now would she? Sure taking the risk to love and risking losing them like Neptune and Silvera did but its another story when the dragon you have a total crush on would shatter your heart. She could just see her giving her heart to him and him dropping it on the ground without even looking at her.

Avalon was indeed flying close to them, he wanted to hear how Silvera was doing. Zircon's death was a deep blow to the clan, and affected everyone some way or another. Avalon barely knew th male, but still had great respect for him, nor did he hate Silvera, she was an amazing alphess and had to of been deeply hurt by his death. Avalon knew he had no buisness trying to make sure nothing else went wrong, but he felt he had to make up his past by doing something. And, by now, everyone in the clan knew that he had kileld his family. Well, most of it, the part that didn't include Cyclone and them.

Something else caught his eyes. A female, one that he could recall her name being Shannon. He also noticed she seemed to take interest in him, and as he turned in the air, caught a glimpse of her looking in his general direction. He had to admit, she was a beautiful female. He couldn't help but slowly turn around, watching her, the scales on her glint off of the sun. She was more beautiful than Dawn. He just didn't know how to confront her, he was known as a monster, and a lot of dragons still avoided him, ever since he let the story out in front of the clan.* Well, he could figure that out later. Before he realised it, he was flying closer and closer to the three, and it was too late to turn around. He got there in time to still see strands of ice on teh grass before it meltedin the sun. He landed softly, bowing his head slightly and greeting them all.

Hello Silvera, Shannon, Nicara. Nice to see you all relaxing on a warm day. And I see you have some ice in you Nicara, I might be able to help you with that some day. He said, as a slight cold mist formed in the air from Avalon freezing the water molecules in it. He looked at all three of them, putting on his best smile, letting his eyes linger on Shannon for a little longer, snapping his attention slowly back to Nicara, then Sil, wondering if they would like the idea of him possibly helping her out if he ever could.

*That I think was supposed to happen in one of my posts with Dawn. Never did, but I think its a nice thing to add to what he has do

Silvera looked towards Shannon awaiting a response. when she heard her tell her that there wasn't anything wrong, Silvera knew the look on her face though, and it said otherwise. She did a good attempt of hiding it, but Silvera had been through enough in her life to know how to look past someones face to read their emotions. Their tone of voice, the way the moved, and more importantly their eyes. A dragon's eyes were the gateway to the dragon's soul, and mind. You could tell a lot about how a dragon felt just by looking in them. She could tell that Shannon wasn't completely okay, but if she didn't want to talk about it, it wasn't something that she was going to press.

As soon as she was going to say something though, she felt an odd change in the wind from the normal breeze to a wind that got very cold for a few moments. When she looked over, there was a patch of frozen grass right in front of Nicara. She watched her try again with an unsuccessful attempt and sure enough the question came, Mommy, why can't I make the grass freeze again? I had to sneeze and when I looked up there was ice on the grass in front of me, but I can't do it again...

The ice is going to be one of your elements that you can control sweetie, you'll have to learn how though first. Try it again this time reach back a bit further in the bottom of your tummy then push out with your breath. It should work right now as long as you are focused only on that. she told her watching as she tried again only mustering a small burst of mist. She whimpered again. Don't worry, you'll get it eventually. she told her as Avalon landed next to them.

It was good to see him out. Silvera knew of his past, but also saw what he was now, and he was no different than Nira. Granted their two evils were completely different, but both dragons were trying to make amends. Silvera knew that and trusted him, and in most instances felt like she was the only one who did. When he greeted them, she gave him a gentle nod. When he offered to help her with her ice magic, Sil gave a soft smile. See Nicara, with two powerful teachers like Avalon and myself, You'll have mastered Ice in no time. she told Nicara.

She then turned to Avalon. So how have you been? Has everyone let that go yet or are they still shunning you? If they are, I need to know about it so I can fix it. You don't deserve to be treated any different from anyone else. she told him making sure that he knew that she trusted him. That and the go ahead that she had just given him to help teach Nicara on her ice magic was big, because this was her daughter that she was trusting him with.

Nicara laid there for a few moments waiting for her mother's reply. when she got it, it was little more than try again, so she did. It worked a little bit better, but it wasn't like when she sneezed. It was just a small puff of ice. She tried again but came out with nothing after that. She let out a soft whimper. She wanted to be able to do it again, and was getting mad that she couldn't figure out how. When her mother told her htat she would work with her on it more later, she was happy, and even more so when the other dragon Avalon said something about it as well.

Avalon was a wired dragon in the clan, at least to others and she noticed that others didn't seem to care for him that much. She wasn't sure why. Nicara thought he was fun and helpful. She couldn't understand why someone wouldn't like that. Maybe she had missed something, but she didn't care.

Then she noticed the other female there. Oh, hello there. Sorry I hadn't said so before, I was too distracted to realize that there was someone else here until now. she told the dragoness. Once she did though she saw some of her friends in the air just a short distance away. Mother can I go with Julius and Delina? With a short nod, she was off in the air after them.

Shannon blinked when Avalon stared right back at her. She blushed and looked away, a bit too quickly to show she was caught off guard. How was she supposed to know he would look right back at her? He was so caught up with Dawn that he never looked at her when she was looking at his handsome body. Oh how embarrassing! She hoped Avalon didn't see her response when she looked away. Yes! The only reason he would have looked over here was because of Silvera, not her. Yeah not her. Why would he ever look at her? Sure she's beautiful and different looking with the whiskers and that but he loved Dawn a lot and when she was out of the picture he became so depressed. There is also the fact that he also has more than one problem. One is the big one, well both problems are big but this one bigger most likely. That's Dawn, then the next biggest problem is the Clan. She heard from the meeting that Avalon had killed his own family and other dragons as well before coming here. It disturbed her yes, but does she trust him... maybe. It's not like she thought if she was alone with him that he would attack her from behind. Hell no! If he wanted to hurt one of his own Clan mates he would have done it long ago. He has been here a bit longer than her and she never heard of him doing anything like he said he did to the other dragons in the past.

The exotic colored dragoness shifted uncomfortably when he came over.
Hello Silvera, Shannon, Nicara. Nice to see you all relaxing on a warm day. And I see you have some ice in you Nicara, I might be able to help you with that some day. Shannon bit back a flinch of surprise when he greeted her. He actually went and greeted her, he knew her name. Does that mean he really did notice her for these last past three years. Oh well... that's nice. It made her feel warm inside. However she kept in mind that just because he does know her a bit doesn't mean that he would ever love her. Like come on, Dawn was his first mate. It still made her blood boil at the thought of those two together. It used to always burn her up, of course no one knew, she was good on hiding the fact she ever had a crush on Avalon.

Oh, hello there. Sorry I hadn't said so before, I was too distracted to realize that there was someone else here until now. Shannon turned to the little dragoness and made a soft smile. Before she could make a response to it the little dragon turned to her mother. Mother can I go with Julius and Delina? When her mother nodded the little dragon flew off toward the other dragons. Shannon blinked and remembered that she had been so deep in her thoughts that she barely heard Silvera talk. She relayed her words in her head. The dragoness allowed Avalon to teach her daughter about ice magic. Shannon boiled, she was even more jealous of Nicara now. Why couldn't she train with Avalon too. If only she had a ice ability too then she could help Avalon out. She bit back her sigh. So how have you been? Has everyone let that go yet or are they still shunning you? If they are, I need to know about it so I can fix it. You don't deserve to be treated any different from anyone else. She heard Silvera say next.

She wondered how she would express that she trusts him too. Uh, well its hard enough looking at him, talking to him is torture. Why? Because... well you know, she would become so red she would look like a red dragon and not a multi-colored one with lots of gold and little of red. Shannon cursed herself in her head. This has to be the worst day ever for her, oh why didn't she stay lying down and just go to sleep. She wouldn't have gone through this torture again. Yes she did try a couple of times on talking to him. You can see it had been very little success in these three years. Also by the fact that Avalon through the years had been off limits till Dawn suddenly left. The dragoness looked back at the two dragons.
Yeah, they didn't really think. It's obvious that your not the same dragon as from back then. And I think its nice to tell them the truth, better than that then letting them know the hard way I say.

The dragoness looked away and shifted her form a little to get more comfortable. Her body was getting stiff by laying like this, especially with all the tension when Avalon came around. Plus she needs to hide the fact her body was heating up. Damn summer! It always have this hard effect on her ever since she turned into an adult, every time in summer she gets in heat. It's been even harder these last three years when she has a secret crush on Avalon.

Avalon smiled at Nicara as Sil said that she would learn in no time with both her and Avalon to teach her. That was always a good sign. He watched as Nicara flew off to go with her friends. She'll make a beautiful strong and intelligent dragoness one day. Especially with you as a mother Sil. He turned his attention back to the two females as looking at the three brought memories of his nest that he had built for Dawn for when she lay, the day she dissapeared. He remembered laying on that nest day and night as she didn't come back, always living on that shred of hope. Not eating, not drinking, refusing any help. Until he finally lost that shred of hope and completely destroyed the nest, disturbing his neighbors. Of course, they had ran out in fear of him and his rage, desperation.

He snapped back to reality with a shake of his head as Silvera asked him if everyone had let go. That he didn't deserve to be treated differnt. And to Shannon adding on to that, saying that they didn't really think, that he obviously wasn't the same dragon. He nodded to both of them, giving Sil and Shannon a smile.

I'd say they have. Of course, with the occasional glare, but that is just when I am in a bad mood. I think they have a right to fear me, I don't even know if I could easily flip. But, one thing I do know, the only way I will flip is if I have enough reason, and even then, unless its something threatening the clan that set me off, I'm taking myself away, to keep me from harming others. None of you deserve to witness a rage of mine.

He gave a quick glance to Shannon when he said that, quickly bringing his attention back to the both of them while he sat in a spot next to the both of them. Avalon could tell Shannon was uncomfortable being there, and it made Avalon wish he could give her comfort. Although, those glares will happen less often than it is now, as I have accepted that Dawn is gone and will never be coming back, and that I should move on and love someone else. It will be a lot better for me, and will keep my mind off the past, and possibly give me a clutch that I know I am ready for. Again, he gave a slight glance towards Shannon, hoping she didn't notice, but also wanting her to.

Silvera laid there waiting for Avalon's answer to her. She was worried about him for a bit because she knew that dawn too had recently disappeared from the clan. She smiled as he told her that she would make a beautiful, strong, and intelligent dragoness someday, and went further to add especially to have her as a mother. Her cheeks reddened a bit from the comment, I'm nothing special, just another dragon just like anyone else. she told him, But thank you anyways, she added to not be rude.

When she heard Shannon add about him not being deserving of what many thought, she nodded, and hoped that it would reassure him. When he spoke, he told them both that there were still the obvious glares that he would occasionally get from some of the other dragons in the clan, and it made her feel a bit for him. When would others learn to accept who the other dragons are now rather than judge them for the past. She also heard him add that if he ever felt that he was going to snap, that he would immediately leave the clan because he didn't want anyone else to get hurt.

Silvera started to shake her head and protest, but as she started to, he spoke again. He said that he was certain that the glares would happen less and less now that he accepted that dawn was gone. Silvera let out another sigh, Yes, I do hate that two deaths have plagued this clan recently, and both of which occurring outside of the clan-lands. she said aloud lowering her head. I'm obviously not doing a very good job keeping the clan safe. First Zircon, and then dawn... I can't help but wonder if there is another one of those Jorthians hiding somewhere just outside of the clan. she told them felling somewhat responsible for the two deaths. She was the alphess, she was the one responsible for the well-being of her clan. No matter what happened, if someone died, it was her fault

Shannon blinked when he said that. It made her worry that Avalon might leave the Clan for good. She hoped not because she really likes him. Of course she hides the fact she does, hey he'd had a mate, if she had went around mooning over him where everyone could see she would have a bad reputation. It's never good to try and go for a mate on a dragon that isn't mateless. That's just wrong and not her. So like the distant self she is she hides the fact she has a crush on him all these years.

Shannon can't think what the Clan would be like to her if Avalon wasn't around. She figured that he may be one of the few reasons why she stays here in the Clan. Of course the other reasons were because she wouldn't be alone and another because she was just plain sick of traveling since all she ever really did in her whole life was travel. The dragoness blushed a little when Avalon looked at her. Did he just have that look in his eye? No it couldn't be. She thought hard to get it out of her head and listened to Avalon's strong voice when he carried on.
Although, those glares will happen less often than it is now, as I have accepted that Dawn is gone and will never be coming back, and that I should move on and love someone else. It will be a lot better for me, and will keep my mind off the past, and possibly give me a clutch that I know I am ready for.

Avalon took a slight glance on Shannon. She stared right into his eyes when he looked at her. Her blush rose deeper and it could be slightly seen through her hard yellow scales on her cheeks. Shannon moved her eyes away from him and looked at Silvera instead. The exotic colored dragoness leaned down to the side, moving her bunched up legs on the other and spreading them a little. She unfolded her wings a little to cover her legs slightly. To keep her from leaning too far she used her right legs, that were on the right side of where she was leaning to. She bunched her front right leg and used her elbow for support and placed if comfortingly forward and with her right hind leg she placed it underneath her tail, bunching it comfortingly. Her body was boiling hot now. She barely gets this close to Avalon, because most of the time in these three years she stayed away because of Dawn who wasn't the nicest dragoness around. Another was because Avalon seemed too busy or too thought up around Dawn, the Clan and these days mourning for his lost mate. She only got close to him a few times, like hunting and that or in Clan meetings. However they didn't really talk.

Silvera started to speak and Shannon focused on her, trying to quench the flames in her gut.
Yes, I do hate that two deaths have plagued this clan recently, and both of which occurring outside of the clan-lands. Shannon nodded her head, in silent agreement. She doubt it was just Juthivar Clan that is suffering too. It seemed to her that there are more dangerous dragons coming around. Ones like the dragons that killed her mother or that dragon that had raped her. Shannon shivered when she heard rumours that there are some male dragons that even rape fems when they get the chance. She shook her head, getting rid of the horrible memories that she concealed. No one knows about that, that is one story she would not tell to anyone ever. She figured if she just not think about it, not tell anyone what had happened to her that what happened she would one day forget. A few years it worked yes but lately with all these horrible stories of dragons getting attacked and raped brought it back. She shivered, a twinge of fear in her smoke green depths.

She blinked, she had been so deep in her thoughts that she didn't hear Silvera speak. Quickly, she tried to relay what she said but couldn't. However she knew by Silvera's tone of voice that she must have been talking about Zircon and Dawn being dead. She could see the guilt in her Alphess's eyes and it pained Shannon.
It's not your fault what had happened. She tried to reassure the alphess. My father used to tell me that everything that happens in this world happens for a reason. Shannon closed her eyes and let her head lie down on her right front leg, her eyes opening again half way. She wasn't going to go to sleep, she wasn't tired at all really. She was just trying to control herself a bit. Her element is healing but she has two other abilities, they are both light elements, fire and energy. Right now, why her body was so hot wasn't just because she was fertile but also because of the fire in her belly. It was embarrassing enough that she can't handle herself when around Avalon. Why her fire element was reacting because she was so happy right now. She wanted to take flight and dance around the sky because she was so happy. Why? Because Avalon was starting to move on and when he said he wanted to love again, he looked at her with those eyes of his. Her heart was so full that she couldn't help herself but shred all the doubts in her mind. Like the fact that Avalon might have chosen a different mate than her or the fact he doesn't really want her for a mate and the look he had given her was just a trick of her imagination. You can't tell how much imagination she has.

Shannon, looked up at the two dragons, trying to get her mind of her fantasies and just concentrate on the conversation. All the thinking of Avalon choosing her for his new mate was just making her fire element even harder to keep down.

When Silvera said that she wasn't doing a very good job of keeping the clan safe. His stare was hard, yet sympathetic. He listened to Shannon saying that it wasn't her fault, that her father once told her that everything happens for a reason. His eyes looked straight into Sil. as he spoke, a soft yet straightforward tone.

Silvera, I am speaking to you as a dragon that knows what it is like to not protect his loved ones. Neither of these deaths were your fault. How were we supposed to know that maybe some rampaging dragon might have crossed the paths of the two? You take that risk everytime a dragon leaves the clan. Yet, you can't keep us all cooped up inside the clan lands, or else who knows what will happen? Due to what I just said, there is no way it was your fault.

He knew that probably didn't help, that no matter what, a dragon who is already thinking it was their fault would feel that they needed to be blamed, even if they were condradicted 100%. But, things were always worth a try, maybe that even made her feel a little better, which is always something. He just hoped she would leave back to her den thinking about these things, he didn't think having an alphess plagued by these things was good.

He then heard a slight buzzing by his ear. He shook his head, his ear running into a bee trying to fly around his head butnot expecting the big creature to move, as it got smacked and flew to the ground. Avalon watched it fall, and as it hit the ground, he sent a small healing spark towards it. It then lazily got up and flew away, disoriented from what just happened. I guess its a good thing we aren't as small as bees like that, but it sure would make it easy to heal things.

He let out a small chuckle, trying to lighten things up. He then noticed how umcomfortable and hot Shanoon looked, and thats when he finally noticed a very feint smell coming from her. He gave her a small smile, knowing that anything more than talking should wait a while, they barely knew each other. They could probably get to know each other a bit more the next day or something, Avalon didn't know. Alls he knew was that he was going to find her tomorrow and talk to her, he was done laying in his den, he was going to put himself out in the clan again.
