Name: Riptide Dragon Type: Sea Dragon (see pic) Age: 25 Gender: Male Clan: Bahiri Clan position desired: Beta Desired Magic: Water-Mastered Ice-Mastered Healing-Mastered Appearance: Riptide is 25 feet tall and 100 feet long, he has no wings thus can not fly. He is serpentine in appearance with a spined frill running the length of his spine. He has spined ear frills and fins at different points on his body. His scales are a light blue and his belly is a brighter darker blue than his other scales, the membrane of his fins and frills are a whiteish-blue. He has dark navy blue eyes. Personality: Riptide is a fiercly loyal dragon, willing to sacrifice anything to help those he cares for. He is usually calm and laid back but when angered he can be as fierce and unforgiving as the sea he comes from. He loves spending time in the water as he is not very coordinated on land. One of his favorite things to do is get into water races with anything that will give him the time. His trust is not easy to earn but once earned he trusts completely. History: Riptide's parents made a nest near an area of fast and strong currents in the sea. Not long after his egg was laid it was accidentaly knocked out of the nest into the currents and whisked away. His egg was carried along and whipped around inside the ocean currents until just a few days before he hatched, when the current washed into a secluded underwater cave where his egg came to rest. Upon hatching Riptide was alone and had to learn to survive by himself. From an early age he discovered that when in the water his speed went unmatched by anything he could find, this helped in evading predators early on in life, but on land he was not nearly as fast, as he moves like a snake with his upper body raised off of the ground. During his early teens he discovered his magic. He discovered he was very talented with ice and water and had a talent for healing. As he grew he developed his magic to better help him in his life. He learned that while he was at least partialy in the water he could freely use his magic as much as he wanted, but that when on land using his magic drained his energy quickly. At 24 years of age he decided to venture out into the world to try and find someone to be his friend. After searching for a while he finaly found a place called Selzar. While swimming in the sea off the coast he spots a dragon. The dragon is a pure blue with a white underside and aqua frills and wing membranes. The thing that draws him to this dragon is that they seem to love the water as much as if not more so than he does. He returns each day to watch as the dragon plays in the water. It has been a year since he found this land and started watching the dragon, whom he discovered was a female, and he has finaly decided to reveal himself to the dragon he has been watching all this time. His name comes from the fact that when he is going full speed through the water other creatures get spun around and dragged along after him thus the name Riptide.
