A dark shape soared through the cool air. The night was dark, only a sliver of moon providing the little light. The dragoness neared her destination, hearing the roar of falling water. A small smile played for a moment on her scarred face before disappearing as if it had never existed. The falls were now easily seen, the rushing liquid glittering even in the sparse moonlight. She angled herself downwards and prepared to land. Her paws sunk into the soft earth and she neatly folded her wings before looking around. She stood on the mossy banks by the base of the curtain of water. Even from this far below, she could still make out the spray of the water as it hurled itself over the edge. She took a few steps closer to the water, the chain looped around her ankle rattling slightly every other footfall. She lifted her nose to the air and filled it with the smell of damp earth. She held it for a minute or two, then let it go to refill her lungs. She waded into the water, feeling it rise around her legs and the bottom half of her shield. She swam over to the very bottom of the falls. Her violet eyes watched the water falling a few feet before her. Filling her lungs with air, she plunged under the rushing water. It pounded onto her ice blue scales and the metal of her shield, relaxing her mind and body. This was when it was far too easy to remember, but she fought the memories back down into the pits of her mind. This was not a night to be sad. After several long minutes, she pulled out of the rushing water and opened her eyes again. Her body cut through the dark water and toward the shore. The dragoness pulled herself from the pool, water sliding from her scales in great sheets to the ground. She moved away from the water, the waterlogged chain still clattering with her steps. Finding a good spot, she sat on her haunches and lifted her right foreleg. The heavy chain still dangled from it. She brought up a breeze to dry the water from it so it wouldn't rust. True, she could break it if she tried, but it was a good reminder for her. The chain now dry, she set her paw back on the ground and stared at the water come rushing down. She would never let herself remember it all, but she wouldn't forget either. |

Young Dragon

The dark figure flew quickly through the night sky, her wings pounding to stay airborn. Her figure was impossible to see from the earth, seeing that the moon was providing very little moonlight that night. Nia Gara was quite concerned, wondering why Amira wanted for her to meet her at the Falls of Vervion. They haven't talked much, and seeing that they are in different clans, that's quite impossible. Nia sighed, flying faster, knowing she was getting closer to her destination. The wind was calm at the Falls, despite the raging roar if the waterfall. Amira waited, knowing that Nia Gara was on her way. As she did so, she placed her lavender paw in the water. The low moonlight could not stop anyone from seeing her, her scales a light color. She could easily see the white outline of her scales from under the water. She sighed, not wanting to think about it at the moment. She just wanted to spend time with someone of another clan, away from her duties. Nia Gara spotted Amira right away. She slowed her wings and slowly glided closer to the earth. Once her paws reached the soil, she lightly dug her claws into it, feeling the soil making her calm. She looked over at Amira, seeing her light scales quite easily. "What is it you wanted to speak to me about, Amira?" Nia Gara asked. Amira looked up at Nia Gara, just noticing she was there. "Nothing important. I had just wanted to spend time with someone outside of my clan, and away from my duties for just a bit. Is that alright with you?" she asked. Nia Gara was taken aback. No other has wanted to spend time with her before. So she just nodded, standing there. |

In the evening dim night away from other dragons was a strange water European. She was easily seen, even with the dim light by her silvery white scales and shiny well groomed fur. Tempest was curled up, her tail around her legs and wings covering almost half of her body. They were half folded and looked like large feathers the way they are curled up. Many would think she is a Sceather. She didn't care what anyone thinks of her, everyone in her Clan thinks she's a bitch and she didn't care about that. Well it does to be honest but she knew it was for the best that she doesn't make friends with any dragon. She felt her blood go cold just at the thought of him killing her new friends. If only he was dead she could finally move on with her life. She could show the real her in her own Clan, make lots of friends, find a mate that she would love at least half as much as she did Blackmoon. Then she can have kids again. Tempest looked down at the bottom of the Falls and found three dragons, all dragonesses. One was a bit far off from the other two. The other two dragons seem to be talking a bit. She was too far to understand their words but she can hear their grunts and growls. Tempest wanted to go down and make friends, being alone for nearly seven years, not opening her heart to anyone is destroying her. She bit back the urge to cry and let her head down, watching them all with half interest. Why did she deserve this? Of course she ran away from him. Why would anyone want to run away from their own parent? But no one knows what's he's like, what he can be and everyone. He is the king of her nightmares. Only thing that sets the difference of the beast and her nightmares is that the bad dreams are just dreams, they aren't real. But he is real, very real. She bet he was nearby, watching her, eager for her to make friends for once. Who knows, maybe he would finally lose patience and try to kill these dragons just to hurt her even more. I hate him, She growled angrily, wanting it to just be over and just let him kill her. She knows its what he wants. Edited by Tempest, Jun 21 2010, 09:13 PM.

Unarium-encased butter

The moon was shining brightly when Sarge opened his eyes. He picked up his head and looked around, before looking at Liara's sleeping form beside him, and the eggs she was curled around. He smiled a little at that, as he watched her sides rise and fall steadily. She'd gone through hell to lay those eggs, and Sarge was glad that she was okay. As much as he loved Liara and loved being by her side, he currently felt the urge to stretch his wings and grab a drink, so he carefully pulled away from Liara, so as not to wake her, and stood up. He turned back to her and nuzzled her gently, before pulling away again and heading for the entrance of their den, opening his wings. As he took off, he hoped that Liara wouldn't wake up during his absence and worry about him not being there. He decided he would be quick, and try to be back by her side before sunrise. After a few minutes of stretching his wings with a few aerial exercises and tricks, he leveled out and headed for the Selicarian Lake. He headed to the falls, where the mist from the falling water hitting the rocks refreshed those who visited, and circled around high above for a quick recon. There were a few dragons there; four by the looks of it. Two by themselves, and the other two talking. They were all female, so Sarge decided it was safe enough to head down for a drink. Still, he didn't know any of them, so he hoped that his midget size, gray color, and dull scales would allow him to slip in, have a drink, and slip out again. As he landed, he looked at the lone dragoness nearby, putting her through a mental threat assessment. She didn't seem violent, and would probably leave Sarge alone or try to start a polite conversation, but she were all still larger than him, so as he bent his head down to the water, he kept his guard up. It was dark, and dim. The light of the moon not giving much light at all. The light that it was showing though was more than enough for her to see, and most likely enough for others to see her as well. As she flew on, thoughts ran wild through her mind. It was only a few days before Tarin her new alphess was taking her down to Juthivar to re-unite her with her sister. What was her sister like now? Was she the same Silvera from when they were hatchlings, and most importantly, would her sister even recognize her? The ground passed under her in a blur as she thought all of these thoughts. the blue dragoness was having difficulty containing herself. She wasn't sad, or angry, or anything of the like. She was more scared than anything. After all, it had been almost eighteen years since they have seen each other and she almost knew that Silvera thought that she was dead. She also knew that Silvera would most likely be happy to see her, but she doubted that she would believe that it was her. With that she dove towards the sounds of running water. When she did, the moonlight became a bit more dominate, and she could make out the figures of others below. She immediately opened her wings and moved a small distance away from them. If there was anything she had learned in the past, it was to never trust strange dragons at first sight. They didn't look like any of them meant trouble but looks could be deceiving. She felt her talons push into the dirt beneath her and set. The sound of the river next to her was very relaxing but despite it, she still held her ground and her tense stance. She wasn't about to get caught off guard. |

Esca had just closed her eyes when a new scent reached her nose. Lifting her head, she filled her lungs with air, trying to identify the scent that had been carried down by the water. Two dragons, both female. Probably at the top of the falls since she didn't hear them nearby. Opening her eyes again, she stood and unfurled her wings. She was about to take off when she saw a pale colored shape by the water's edge. It was what looked to be a young dragon getting a drink. He posed no harm to her, and if he did attack her, she could easily fight him off. Another dragoness soared overhead. Esca's eyes followed it's shadowy outline as it landed away from her and the white dragon. Esca bristled slightly, and she raised her guard. This newcomer had held her tense stance, and Esca didn't want to take a chance. Her scars burned with the faint memory of the last time she had misjudged her opponent. Her violet eyes narrowed and her tail whipped around, the star-shaped end digging furrows into the earth. If any of these four dragons here tried to attack her, she would be ready. Esca inhaled deeply again, only just now scenting a fifth dragoness atop the falls. This scent was fainter, as if the dragon was further from the water than the other two up there. That made two others down with her, and three above. More than she was used to being around at one time, but she would be fine. She could try talking to them, and if things started turning ugly, she could run. |
