Young Dragon

Name: Mariana Type: European Age: 18 Gender: Female Clan: Furick Position: Normal Member Magic: Fire (mastered) Ice (mastered) Darkness (learning) Appearance: Mariana is twenty-five feet tall, fifty feet long, and has a one hundred foot wingspan. Her scale color is rather unnormal. The rim of her scales are pale blue while the inside of it a darker navy blue. They are triangle shaped, and they are slightly dull, overlapping each other. Her underbelly scales are of the lighter shade of blue, as is her wing membrane and her eyes. Her talons are black, as well as her spikes and horns. The two horns on top of her head are rather short, at least five inches long. Her spikes start from the back of her head, and they continue down to her spiked tale, slowly shrinking from six and a half inches to three inches. Her tail is rather long, not normal for a dragon her age. Her spikes on her tale are a mixed with the bright blue and black. She uses her tale as a weapon when in battle. Personality: Mariana is a dragon that someone can easily get along with. She is kind to you if you are nice to the dragons she cares for. She’s one to be able to keep a secret to the grave; once you tell her a secret, she’ll never tell anyone. She’s a bit shy around guy dragons around her age. If one talks to her, she might be a little shy at first from what she’s gone through, but she’s real talkative to females. If she’s in one of her good moods, she will be up to trying anything new. When she’s in a foul mood, it’s best to stay your distance. When you mess with her in one of her “moods,” you will face Mariana at her worst. You never want to mess with the ones she cares for. You mess with them, she will make you regret it. She will make you suffer, the percent of the pain all depends on what you have done to her loved ones. Other than that, Mariana is quite a fun dragon to be around. History: Mariana wasn’t born on Selzar, but she was never around humans. Her parents were both not in a clan, but rather on their own. After her birth, Mariana was taught to hunt, and use the magic of ice from her father, and fire and darkness from her mother. Her father was a rather abusive dragon, and would sometimes harm Mariana’s mother, some times without her knowing, but most of the beatings took place on front of the young dragon. So when Mariana was at the age of 15, some stray male dragons around her age started taking interest in her. She could never have more than one conversation with at least one male dragon for fearing if she became his mate later on, he’d abuse her like her father did her mother. She had always told herself that she would never want to have a mate from her lands. A while after that, the beating of her mother continuing, she promised not to love another dragon in her life. At the age of sixteen, both fire and ice magic mastered, darkness very powerful, and the ability to hunt on her own, she left her mother and father, setting out on her own. For about a year, she lived on her own before joining a group of non-clan dragons. For about six months, she stayed and traveled with them. She had even started having feelings for a young male dragon a year older than her named Avari, breaking her promise to herself. She thought and dreamed that her future was with these dragons. That dream came to an end, however, when one night Mariana and Avari were hunting. When it was silent and dark, when she least expected it, Mariana was attacked by Avari. She tried to fight him off the best way she could, but in the end, she was raped by the dragon she had called friend. Even with her screaming, shouting for help, none came. The pain for her was unbearable. She was broken after. Quickly after the incident, she had left the group without telling anyone what had happened, and lived another six months with fear and guilt for not saying anything to the group, but she felt as if she had been betrayed and mislead. She has never been able to recover from it, nor has she been able to trust another dragon, female or male, no matter how kind or caring or nice they may have seemed to be.. A few weeks after she had turned eighteen, she had heard from one lone dragon that there was a land where nothing but good could become of you. Not knowing if this dragon was telling the truth or not, she had set out to find the land the dragon had called “Selzar.” Once she had gotten to the new lands, she had a feeling that she was going to find nothing but happiness. She could not tell rather this feeling was real or not, but she had decided it was for the best to follow the feeling and let everything be as it were meant to be. Despite her past, she truly started to think of finding a mate in Selzar, a life, and happiness here in these new lands to her. Edited by Mariana, Jun 22 2010, 08:21 AM.
