Dragon of the masters

Luthicia was growing tired of the dragons in this land. No matter what she was able to do to them there was always something that they were able to do to counter her plot or revenge. It was Niradana that had given her life, but then abandoned her. It was her fault that she was living the way that she was now rather than using another body to do her bidding. She hated this body. It was moot and pointless. Even though she had inherited most of the magics from her host when she was exorcised, this body was still weaker than she wanted it to be. The body that Niradana had was perfect. It was quick and agile, and it would allow her the freedom to do whatever she wanted without taking the blame, at least for that little bit.

Everyone has figured out by now who she was and what she was up to, so it was no surprise that the majority of them took Niradana's side. She has watched from a far and was disgusted by how touchy-feeley she had become around other dragons. the fact that she was now starting to make a name for herself as a kind and loving dragon was making her sick, but at the same time, she could cause so much more damage if she were able to get a hold of that vessel again. No one would ever suspect her, and she would be able to create mass carnage, and this time make sure that the old Niradana is not able to re-claim the body at all.

To do that though, she would have to leave this body, and that was no longer possible without an exorcism herself. She did not like floating in the traverse either. Not being able to take on a physical form in order to cause the most amount of destruction possible was something that Luthicia just could not stand. The fact that she wasn't killing something right now was pissing her off to no end. In fact, it had been a good week since she had found a dragon that was worth hunting. Making her layer in the extreme south eastern part of the continent. she was right in between two of the main clans of the continent, but no one ever traveled here and when she tried to hunt in the clan lands, she was met with heavy resistance.

There was only one thing that could be done. She would have to kill the Alpha pair of one of the clans in her immediate area. The thought of taking over the clan though killing their leaders would provide her with an ample food supply, and she could then just randomly decide which family she was going to claim a hatchling from as her next meal, and let them watch as she killed their little baby in front of them, letting his blood spill on to the den floor. The thought of idea sent shivers of pleasure down her spine. It was settled she was going to advance on one of the clans, and what better than the one that only has one alpha, or in this case, An alphess, with ripe tasty children of her own.

Within minutes sky and she was starting towards the west. That silver dragon had to have been greatly weakened by now by trying to run the entire clan by herself, and trying to take care of her young as well. She was the perfect target, and probably the most unsuspecting of any of them.

~~~
It had been a about a week or two since they had killed the Jorthian, and a month or two since Niradana had laid her eggs. She knew that they would be okay with Kodak while she paid a visit to Silvera once again. She wanted to thank her for putting up with both her and Liara during the time that they were both laying their eggs. She knew that it had to be more than a difficult position for her, and she had managed to find some help, but she still didn't make things easier on her.
She didn't even alert the dragons in the clan to her presence. Almost everyone in the Juthivar clan knew who she was. She was here often enough to where she was almost considered a permanent resident of two different clans. It wasn't too difficult for her. She was used to flying long distances and this was nothing more than living in two places. Nira had actually thought about finding herself a den here in Juthivar that she can live in while she is here as well as her one back home.
As it was for now though, she just simply flew to Silvera's den, and it was still early enough to find that she was still home. Good morning Silvera, she spoke as she saw one of her young come out of the back towards her. And good morning to you as well Nicara, you've gotten big.
The smaller female just kind of blushed and uttered a small thank you as Silvera started to wake up and peered over her shoulder. Oh, Silvera I'm so sorry. I thought you'd be up by now. Niradana admitted to her.
I was up, but was just kind of laying here. I still haven't completely recovered from the fight yet. My wings are still very sore, and I'm not sure if they were healed correctly or not. I don't think anyone realized they were broken until it was too late to do anything about it... she heard Silvera tell her.
Niradana moved closer to her and gave her a soft lick. Silvera I'm so sorry. Are you still able to fly at all, and is there anything we can do at all to fix it? she asked.
She watched as Silvera shook her head. No, I can't fly with them, at least not like I could, I can only glide for a few minutes at most, and I can use them enough to get up here. Other than that, my wings are shot, and the only way to fix them would be to bust them completely and heal them again, and I'm not sure if I'm ready to endure that kind of pain.
Nira didn't like this. She didn't like seeing one of her closest friends hurting like this. Even worse yet, she couldn't even fly! She had been stripped of the one thing that made them what they are. Something had to be done, even if it meant that she had to re-break Silvera's wings. Nira wouldn't do that unless there was another healer around, but if she wasn't the only one here with her, she wouldn't even wait for permission and just do it. She knew that Silvera would forgive her afterward. After all, the gift of flight is the best get well present a friend can give.
Ryka tried to push herself faster through the air. Not five minutes ago, she had been sitting by the edge of the lake, relaxing, until she had caught a snippet of a conversation. Something about Sil being hurt in the fight with the Jorthian, breaking her wings, and not being seen flying recently, and Ryka had heard enough. She'd known about the fight, but nothing about the specific injuries. She had stayed away from the healing area; too much blood. But Ryka knew firsthand how important Sil's wings were to her, to any dragon. Without them, there was no way for her to fly, and the last time that had been a possibility, Sil had stated clearly that she'd rather die than live flightless.
Sil had been her first real friend, and the thought that her friend was hurt in a way that robbed her of something she loved tore at Ryka. She wouldn't lose what she held dear again; she couldn't. Ryka tried to calm her worried thoughts with thoughts that Sil was a strong dragoness and the healers were excellent, but neither her heart nor her wings beat any slower. The Tree was in sight now, and her fears would be put to rest she hoped. She forced her wings to slow so that she wouldn't crash into the tree. Her mind vaguely registered another dragoness there, but her main priority was making sure Sil was okay.
Ryka slid quickly to a landing on the branch in front of Silvera's den, not realizing that her claws were still fully extended and digging shallow grooves into the worn bark. Sil, how're your wings? Can you still fly? I'm sorry, I would've been sooner, but I didn't know much about the injuries until just now and- Ryka bit her words off, realizing she was talking too fast, still slightly out of breath, and sounded quite a bit panicked. She tried to fake a smile, but the damage had been done. Sorry, I'm just worried. Ryka looked at the purple dragoness, who looked a bit worried as well. Not a good sign. A faint memory stirred drowsily in her mind, and Ryka slowly remembered where she had seen this dragoness before. Ah, you're one of the ones who went to fight the Jorthian and helped bring Sil back, right? Ryka inclined her head in a shallow bow. Thank you. Not just for helping my Alphess, but for having the courage to stand up to that monstrous thing. She turned her main attention back to Sil, just now noticing Nicara was there too. Ryka gave the young dragoness a small smile and a gentle wave. But Sil, really, how're your wings?
Cobra got up from her nest, watching the eggs carefully. Her stomach was fully healed, and she was just glad to have Nira back from the earlier fight where they killed the Jorthian. No one would ever understand why, but she would have been devastated if Nira was lost. She didn't mind Nira's frequent visits to the Juthivar clan, for it kept her happy. Cobra was happy as long as her clan was happy.
She smiled at her two eggs, and called another female over. Can you watch after these guys for a bit? I haven't seen Silvera in a while, I have to pay her a visit and see how she is doing after that fight. Thanks a lot. Normally, anyone would reject to her leaving the clan, for something bad always seemed to happen to her. They were smart enough though, to not reject a visit to Sil. She walked out of the dunes and looked up to the sky. Today would be perfect for flying over to the clan.
She took off into the air, smiling to herself, wondering what she would end up doing today with Sil and whoever else was going to be there. She didn't get far before she heard wing beats behind her. She let out a soft groan to herself before looking behind her, seeing Kodak flying steadily, slowly catching up to her. She slowed down, smiling to him, most likely off to see what his mate was up to. She couldn't tell him to turn around, like she would any other dragon from her clan.
Kodak watched first as Nira flew off, and then a small bit later as Cobra flew off. He couldn't resist, he had to follow. He still had to thank Sil for being there for Nira when she was in labor. He didn't know what he would be feeling if he couldn't see the eggs safe and sound in their nest. Knowing that soon, there would be little ones running around like him and Nira, having a great time.
He took off after them, getting caught up in his normal job, scouting. He couldn't help but keep a look around to make sure his clan wasn't in danger, and with what had happened recently to Nira, he couldn't let either of them go out on their own. He felt Nira was safe, but he could never know about Cobra. She didn't need anything else to happen to her. He caught up to her and smiled back, giving her a nod as they both started to speed up towards their destination. They both continued to fly until they got to the border.
We will keep going. They know me too well to feel like I am a threat.
So, he continued without hesitation and they flew towards Sil's tree. They both landed softly and stayed on the branch outside, seeing Nira and another dragon in there with her already.
Cobra couldn't help but notice that Sil looked like crap. She didn't seem to have that same happiness from before, and something felt wrong. She could hear the other dragoness talking about wings. Did Sil do something to her wings in the fight? What haven't they been telling me exactly.... She gave a smile. Sorry to interrupt, but I thought I should pay Silvera a visit. I haven't seen you in a while Sil, its great to see you again. I also have a follower. It's Kodak.
Kodak gave a nod and a smile to Nira. He didn't really know what to say, as he did not expect the other dragon to be here, or for Sil to look so bad.
You are in my space... GET OUT
Crimson coating his body and shining across each indivual scale, each one yeilding it's own story and it's disgraceful tale. The marks covering him, scars, now bled into each scale, the years of fake healing no longer able to tell if they were markings, or scars... By touch you could tell, but by look? No longer. His wings sidled to his sides, the dark colors carressing as the veins spread throughtout the tough membrane, the wind blew across, trees blowing in it's directions as well as the fur around his paws. He growled slightly to himself, baring his teeth, stained with blood, the gums latched onto bone as he jerked his head up and sniffed at the ear, the upper lip curling even more above tooth and gum as he could smell someone close by. The Scent wafting to his nostrils and he hissed, it smelled of the ocean... A dragon, yes, but of ocean? Most likely a member of the Bahiri clan... But why would they come here? Yes, the clans were all peacefull with eachother, but normally the only time a Bahiri Clan member came it was an Alpha, or Alphess.. Maybe a Beta and Bettas, but generally it was not common, and rare, for a normal member of the clan to come.. And this scent was strange... He had never smelled it once before.
He sat down, tail curling around his paws as his wings settled to his sides, his Forepaws holding him in an upright position as he watched infront him, the direction the new commer was coming from, he cocked his head to the side and gave a low growl. The grass came to a stop in movement as the Dragon stumbled forward, regained his compsure and then froze with the Red scarred alpha Dragon infront of him. He dipped his head in respect. The white scales mixed with black and grey. His body was rather thin, for just about any dragon.. His scales hugged his body and he fur lined some parts of it. His tail lashed from one side to the next in a rather impatient way, much as a dog would lash it's own tail and lay down to sleep. Restless. The alpha spoke, his voice calm and friendly, even though he was an Alpha, this threw the Bahiri dragon off and confused him to an utter extent of barely being able to respond. May I ask what you are doing here? The Alpha asked, no name, no 'How do you do?' He was normally not very chatty and when he was, it was normally only around his Mate or people he knew well. The Bahiri Dragon nearly stammered his response, I... I am looking for someone...
And who might that be? Truly intruiged by now, the Bahiri dragon seemed just a little older than him, but when someone was looking for someone... It could be bad.
A.... He paused, seemingly to decide on a word.. As if the word one would use, did not fit the person, A Dragon.. He calls himself, Marcius. The pained word fled his jaws in anger, the entire phrase simply spat out as if it would not come out the way it should if he did not get it out quick enough. The Alpha tilted his head, I know of no Marcius... Why are you looking for him?
Afraid to sound rude, and yet, unwilling to tell the Alpha why, he thought up a quick and what he thought, witty lie, He is my brother's.. Friend.
The Alpha narrowed his eyes.
The Bahiri Dragon at this point could feel his heart beat rise, and it was apparant he was nervouse, but not just because of the Alpha's Prescence. He felt as if the Alpha's cold gaze, firey, but frozen, was looking straight into his soul. He wanted to balk and run away, the Alpha was scary as hell, the scars, it would freak any other out, but he could not. The fear revolting, slowly rising to a peak, and was not going to stop... The Bahiri Dragon could feel himself cracking under pressure, and it soon became apparant to him...
I do not believe that. If you are going to lie... At least make it believable. The Bahiri Dragon, now unable to contain himself, the phrase setting him off like a time bomb, he lunged, no control.. His fear was driving him forward, acting soley on instinct, which was understandable.. But towards an Alpha? Or any higher command than you? What right did you have then? And when you attack someone of Higher command... You better pray you can chew what you bite off.
Jaws locking on the Alpha's throat, the white Dragon hauled him to the ground, weight thrown as the Alpha's jaws snapped inches away from the leg of the white dragon, the red tail slamming into the side of the Bahiri Dragon and sending him reeling as he was out of breath. Jaws releasing the Alpha, he took in jerked breathes and stumbled back. The alpha snarled, his jaws bared in a grizzly snarl, the snarl rising from the bottom of his throat and into his jaws as he expanded them to their fullest and let out a vicious bellowing roar that echoed and sent birds fleeing from their nests, but this did not sway the Bahiri Dragon! No! He had seen far worse than this Alpha, and his Instinct would not let him back down from this! Not until he was near death, or could not fight no longer. His mind said it was survival. His body reacted as his mind said. The Alpha snapped his jaws, narrowed his eyes and the bellow was cut off from his throat. Stalking forward, the Red Alpha was pissed, the Bahiri dragon had not had a good enough of lock on his throat, but it had been good enough to piss him off. A good rule, was that if you meant to kill something.. Or someone... You do it. You just don't give warning shots or take it slow, you. Just. Do. It.
The Alpha hissed and lunged towards the White Dragon as the White balked on his hind legs and nearly had the chance to take off into the air, where he thought he might have a fighting chance to at least get away, but the Alpha rammed right into him and sent the two to the ground and slamming into a tree. Grasping onto the ground, the Alpha hissed and jerked his head around to see the Bahiri Dragon whine and get to his feet, limping on his right foreleg. The Alpha bared his teeth and asked, Are you done with your pitiful little game? If I have to, I will not stop to think of killing you.
I am done... The white Dragon responded, May I know who you are?
I am Schyzvroen, Alpha of the Furick clan. You?
I am Ghost.. Bahiri member..
Schyzvroen growled and walked away, not wanting to play the child's pitiful games any longer. But Ghost spoke up, You know of Silvera?
I know her, yes. Why?
Do you know what happened to her?
The landscape was moving under her rather quickly, and she knew that she was getting closer. Luthicia was about to have her revenge, or at least in part. The Silver dragoness that lived in the Juthivar clan had been the center of most of her misfortune as of late so she was eager to show the dragoness just how much she appreciated her interference with her plans.
The long grassy fields that were below her soon changed over to the densely populated trees of the Forest of Suron. She knew that by now she had crossed into the clan lands of whom she had been looking for, and now was only a moment away from claiming her victory. With at least one of the clans out of the way, she would be able to dominate the land in a much easier fashion by raging war against the other what were now three clans on the land and taking complete control of this continent. They had already stopped her from destroying the continent the first time so she figures that since it was still here, it wouldn't hurt for her to go ahead and rule over it.
Moments passed and she was over the Lake of Suron as well. The pure crystalline waters beneath her made her cringe. She much preferred her water either very swamp-like, or infatuated with blood and watching it spread through the water. When she finished her shudder, she turned her attention off from the water and to the very large tree that was a good distance in front of her that spurred with draconic activity. It was then she knew exactly where to find her prize.
~~~

Niradana was unsure of what to do. Silvera was still very badly injured from the fight, and there was little that she could do that would actually be of any help to her. She felt completely and utterly helpless, and it was a feeling that she hated as it reminded her of ll the times she was rendered helpless by that demon that possessed her and used her body to do her evil bidding.

She was brought back to her senses though when another dragoness landed quite abruptly in Silvera's den and startled Nira. She instantly began asking if Silvera was okay, if she could still fly at all, and how bad the damage was. This made Nira feel more than just a bit uncomfortable, especially since she had no idea who this dragoness was, and she appeared to be very good friends with Silvera as well, and with Silvera being hurt as bad as she is, and with her being the only one here, what could she expect but to get blamed for it. Anyone who knew of her past would have blamed this on her from the start.

The dragoness did eventually turn to her, and had started to take shorter breaths in a panting-like method from speaking so fast. She paused and caught her breath before she acknowledged that she was the one that had helped Sil get back into the lands, and that she was one of them that had helped fight the beast. Still a little hurt inside from her own mind assuming things that were beyond truths, Nira nodded. That I am, she replied as the dragoness continued in order to thank her not only for helping her alphess return home, but for having the courage to stand up to a monster like that.

As she was getting ready to reply, a gust of wind drew in two very familiar scents to her. She turned outside and it confirmed what she already knew. Sitting on the branches just outside of the den were her Alphess Cobra, and her mate Kodak, whom she just glared at for a moment that had the you're supposed to be watching our eggs look.

She averted her gaze though when Cobra started talking and told Sil that it was nice to see her again, which Nira had to agree with, she just wished that she was in a better state of health that she was now. She just didn't look right hurt and sad like this. She didn't deserve any of this at all.

~~~
Silvera laid there as she had already watched Nira come in and explain the situation to her about her wings. Her wings were still very sore from the fight themselves and she knew that they were broken still in more than one spot, and that they did not heal correctly where they had. She could feel the bones penetrating and sticking into the nerves of the wings and some of them even tearing through muscle to try to heal.
It was more prominent on the wing membranes just on the tail end of the flight arm where the wing muscles meet the membrane were there were numerous large, puss-filled blisters on her wings from the bonds trying to heal from spots in her wing where they should not be. Most of the blisters were still in tact, bu there were a couple of them that had been popped and were hurting to the point where it felt like she had stuck her wing in a pit of lava. She gingerly extended a wing out to show Ryka, and as she did, Cobra and Kodak arrived.
Her puss filled wing was clearly visible to all that were looking, and the once blue membranes were stained a deep violet from the blood that was leaking onto them from the broke vessels from each blister and vein. Just those subtly movements though had caused more of the puss sacks to burst along her wings. A very audible popping sound could be heard as the tension that had build up in them shot the puss from the blisters almost as if they were shot from the maw of a dragon.
She winced as she felt her wing come in contact with the ground even with as gentle as she was with it. The amount of pain coursing though her had been the barrier that had prevented her from being able to even try to heal her wings. Hey guys... she started. As you can probably already tell, this last couple weeks haven't been my best, and have only been getting worse. she stated turning to Ryka.
To answer your questions Ryka, as you've seen my wings are a mess, and I they hurt so bad that I can't focus on them enough to heal them properly, and most of the wing has already been healed out of place, she said pausing as she grimaced again trying to move into a more comfortable position so that her wings weren't' hurting her quite as bad. Which means in order for us to heal them properly.... someone is going to have to completely shatter both of my wings and heal them from scratch, a process, I can't say I'm looking forward to.
If that doesn't work, then I will have completely lost my ability to fly. If I can't fly, then it's absolutely pointless for me to be in charge of our clan. If it does come to that, I'm not going to have any choice but to step down as Alphess of this clan, and let a more fit female take over that position. Right now I'm not even fit to take care of myself, let alone an entire clan.
Silvera told herself making it very obvious to everyone around her that she was slipping into a depression even if she couldn't feel it at all.
The Hidden Past
In the forest nearby the Tree was an exotic multi-colored dragoness. She sniffing through lots of plants and berries near tiny streams or deep thickets. The thorns and branches pricked at her thick yellow scales on her chest belly and the front part of her hips. Her multi-colored wings, red at the backside from the beginning of her wings to tail tip with dark red stripes and at the other side of the wings is yellow with lime green stripes in the exact places where the blood red stripes were. She limped from place to place, her left hind leg hurting a little. Shannon was one of the dragons that had fought against the Jorthian a few weeks ago. The beast had attacked her alphess and nearly killed her, Shannon had did what Silvera did by driving it farther away. She was lucky however, she had been too fast for it to get a hold of her but it had managed to strike at her side. That wound had left her vulnerable and unable to fly. It was thanks to the other dragons that was hurting it and Avalon that kept her from getting killed. She helped in a distance since then using one of her own techniques.
After the fight she wasn't really permitted to leave the Clan lands little alone hunt or go scouting with the others. Well she wasn't really aloud even before.. the scouting part and group hunts. She is only the healer of this Clan anyway. But she can't even go hunting for herself and for the first and a half weeks she wasn't aloud to even fly. She was fully healed now anyway but still isn't aloud to hunt for herself just yet. When she said she was fully healed she meant the poison from the demon was fully gone and she was almost fully healed. Why almost well... Shannon winced from the small pain in her left hip. When Avalon had gotten badly hurt when the Jorthian's tail slammed into him her leg wasn't fully healed. Because of her rapid movements to get to her mate she twisted muscles inside her hip that can't be healed by magic but with herbs. With healing it can be very risky with real small wounds like the loose strands in the muscled being twisted and tightened around.
Herbs however, does the trick in things like this. Neptune taught her healing with herbs as well with magic. It was feeling much better now than it had before, it had hurt so bad that she could barely move it, now she could walk with it a little bit. She wasn't out here however to look for herbs for herself. In fact she was looking for the right herbs to help Silvera that was still not better. She was in fact getting worse. Her alpha was depressed, she knew her alphess's wings weren't healed correctly and if not corrected, she will never fly again. That would send any dragon in to deep depression, it was a fact and has nothing to do than knowing it or not by seeing Silvera. She knew though that there are other healers in the Clan that could help Silvera but Shannon felt like she had to. Shannon had chosen to help the others to fight the demon when she could have just help the male dragons heal her Alphess. Shannon feels guilty about it and wants to help her in any way possible.
Shannon put several herbs that she found would be useful for Silvera. She had checked Silvera yesterday about the problems other than her wings to help her get better. She put the herbs in a basket like thing with lots of twigs and debris of moss and dried mud. The top was soft and dry from the moss and the mud with other stuffing with branches tangled between holding it together. It was large and thick enough to hold just enough herbs for her to use to help her alphess. Shannon counted them and nodded, she found there is enough for her to use. She carefully picked it up and carried it back to the tree. She unfolded her wings and took flight, not going to fast for her to lose any of her herbs. Shannon noticed there were dragons at Silvera's den. The exotic dragoness flinched and itched to go faster. She landed at the large branch. Along with Sil's child, Nira and Ryka were two more dragons. Shannon narrowed her eyes but didn't say anything. She edged passed the two, not noticing that the dragoness was Cobra of Kukiron. The dragoness dropped the basket like thing down softly and managed to hear what Silvera said.
Which means in order for us to heal them properly.... someone is going to have to completely shatter both of my wings and heal them from scratch, a process, I can't say I'm looking forward to.
If that doesn't work, then I will have completely lost my ability to fly. If I can't fly, then it's absolutely pointless for me to be in charge of our clan. If it does come to that, I'm not going to have any choice but to step down as Alphess of this clan, and let a more fit female take over that position. Right now I'm not even fit to take care of myself, let alone an entire clan.
She could see that Silvera was really bothered and just proved she was right. Shannon turned to the basket like thing and searched for the right herbs. Her tongue found the thyme and the poppy seed bud. She brought them out and padded up to Silvera, she set them down in front of her alphess. Don't say that Silvera, there is no way someone can take your place. And I'm certain we can heal your wings in the right places. But we won't do that right now, what's more important is to try and get your strength back and get rid of those blisters and that. She nudged the herbs and waved her tail for everyone to move back a little so fresh air can come in and out. I've picked fresh herbs for you to have. I know healing could do a lot but healing magic can only go so far, sometimes you need heal naturally and these herbs helps that along with so much that healing cannot do. Like this herb is called thyme, it would help calm your nerves and the poppy seeds can help with the pain and help you sleep more easily. She waited for Silvera to say something.
This morning Phoenix left the Kukiron territory to think. He had been living for two weeks now. The first week he became beta and met Tene that is the delta of the Clan. Since he had met her he had these huge urges to tell someone about himself. Only he had to remind himself of what he did, they would want to know why he changed his name from Rubeuz to Phoenix. He can't tell them or it would be the end of his new life that is only just starting. He had worked hard to get here so he is not going to let it go easily just because of urges to tell the truth. He went passed the lake where he had met the dark blue dragoness. Phoenix sighed and carried on, walking down through the river to the largest lake of the lands. He remembered the lake back at home, its mysteries and beauty. Awe how much he missed his home. He found a purple dragoness leaving Kukiron through the skies. He watched through the tries where he found his alphess and Kodak the lead scout leave also.
The odd male heard rumors through the Clan that Nira would leave often to go visit the alphess, named Silvera of Juthivar Clan that is supposedly still wounded from a fight with a monster. He wished he had been there but he had been too far away it seems. Phoenix wondered or not if he should go with them. He shook his head and just took flight, heading to the falls. He landed at the edges near the top in the shadows. Phoenix looked at the lands, they look so different from what he was raised with at home. He shook his head, he can't think of his old home anymore, thinking of it makes him think about that day and that makes him feel miserable and get the urge to tell. If he doesn't think about it he might just forget and he would be free.... I hope. He went to lie down when he found something flying in the sky from far away. The wind blue this way and he managed to scent it. Nix drew away from the scent, it wasn't dragon. His heart skipped when he thought it might be a demon or something. It was heading toward where his comrades had gone. He stared.
I have to get a better look at this thing, He unfolded his almost butterfly shaped large wings and dived down. He landed in the trees and ran and fast speed. Phoenix was a good runner as much as a good flier. He ran and got closer. He came to the plains and found that the thing he had noticed was red and large with a look of evil on her face. Phoenix found the female had entered Juthivar territory. He knew that it could be a friend. Phoenix growled and thought to just turn back. Something stopped him however. His comrades were there and needed help, but he was scared that the rage might come back and then they would force him out. Yet if that beast was going to hurt his alphess and any dragon there he would be responsible. He growled, he has to get there before that thing and warn them. Phoenix turned and ran through the Central Plains. Flying would be easier however he would be spotted by that thing, it would be best to sneak passed it. He picked up speed and ran in the trees with his wings folded tight at his sides so he won't risk damaging them in this thick undergrowth. I have to hurry.
(OOC: sorry if this seems disjointed, but it's the best I can do right now)
Ryka saw Silvera extend her wing slowly as two new scents arrived. They smelt slightly like the purple dragoness, a bit like dry sand and warmth. The three were Kukiron, and obviously Sil's friends. Ryka relaxed a little; more dragons meant more of a chance that there was a skilled healer. Sil's wings were in rough shape to say the very least. Painful pus-filled blisters marked places where things were healing improperly or beginning to become infected. A few were popped, letting the pus out and now bleeding slightly. The normal blue of the membrane was a bruised purple color. Even the careful movement of moving the wing made several more split and shoot their contents. It made her stomach turn to see Sil's wings that way.
She saw Sil wince when her wing brushed the ground. She said that the past few weeks hadn't been her best and it was only getting worse.
Sil continued to say that her wings were a mess, and the pain kept her from healing them, it was so extreme. Most of the wing had also been healed out of place, so that was even worse. Sil shifted her wing and continued, saying that the only way to heal them would be to shatter them completely and heal them again, a time consuming and painful process to go through. And if they couldn't be healed, then someone else would have to replace her as Alphess.
Ryka shook her head. Stop talking like that Sil. It makes it sound like you've already given up hope. Tears started to burn the backs of her eyes at seeing Sil act like this, but she kept them back. I think I speak for most, if not all of us when I say none of us will let that happen to you. You saved my life a few years ago, and I'll be damned if you don't remember that night. There is no way we'll let you lose your ability to fly, and even if you've give up, I doubt we will. She met Sil's eyes and whispered the last words in a trembling voice, hardly audible. Even if they can't be healed, I will give you mine.
Yet another dragoness had landed at Sil's den while Ryka had been speaking. She edged her way to Sil, passing Ryka, with a basket filled with herbs. She said that she too, was confident that they could heal Sil's wings, but first they should drain the blisters. She waved her tail to try shoo them back, but Ryka stepped to the side, not back. She had every right to know what was happening, and though she respected this dragoness, it wasn't as if Ryka herself was completely ignorant to healing. The other dragoness began identifying the herbs and what they were used for, one was a natural painkiller and another a sleep aid. Ok, this dragoness had been right to wave them back; she definitely knew much more about what she was doing than Ryka did.
((El has given me permission to use Sil for the small bit that I am. If you have questions, PM him.))
Cobra watched slowly as all this happened around her, not going to interfere with them. There was no point, as the dragons in the den were in the clan, and she was not. She was about to speak to Sil after the other dragoness, but before she could even open her maw to begin, yet another dragoness came in, a basket full of herbs with her. Cobra listened to what the female said to Sil, and the poppy seeds caught her attention. She remembered them well, for they were used often in her clan to help some of them sleep when they were hurt.
They would be perfect for doing that to Sil's wings. Cobra never bothered to look at Sil's wing, knowing she wouldn't be able to stand it too well. She knew they were probably going to try to heal it the correct way today, as there were plenty of healers. She let out a sigh, and didn't know whether others would be willing to start it or not. She let out a small sigh.
I advise you to eat the poppy seeds. I am also suggesting that we do this wing thing now. If it is ok with you that is. Cobra nodded to her as she got a quick nod from Sil, and a calm "make it quick". She looked around her at everyone and waited as Sil ate the poppy seeds. At least Sil wouldn't feel everything.
All the healers, we need you around her. We also need a couple of you willing to break her wings. As soon as her wings are broken, we need people to heal her, and try to ease as much of her pain as possible. She then proceeded to place herself next to Sil, giving a small excuse me when she passed Shannon.
Kodak looked down swiftly at Nira's glare. He knew he should be with the eggs, but Cobra was wandering off on her own again, and Kodak felt bad for not visiting Sil after the fight. Now he was sort happy he was here, because he would be able to help her.
He had someone else taking care of the eggs, someone he knew he could trust because she watched them whenever Nira was somewhere else and he had to scout. This is like an outing, except I'm not scouting and it involves helping a dragon be able to fly again.
He listened to Cobra, and watched as she walked up to Sil. He wondered if taking a small control like that became a habit, being the Alphess and all. Instead of confusing himself, he started to only pay attention to the words coming out of Cobra's maw. He nodded slowly when she talked about them healing Sil as soon as they could, and thoughts shot through his head. Would he be able to handle this? He walked over to the opposite wing from Cobra, waiting for everyone to make the decision on what they are going to do, and when they were going to break her wings.
Cerberus was laying in the forest she was happy that her brother was made Alpha. She had heard word of the battle with the Jorthian. She also heard that the Juthivar Alphess was injured in the battle. She knew that there was no way for her to help because she figured that everyone would be by her side. But she did decide to go and just survey the situation from the air. So she went out flying towards the Juthivar/Kukirion border. She was taking her time as so not to intude but not so slow that she would look like she was spying on the Juthivar’s. When she reached the border se wondered to herself Should I really be going into their lands without their permission? But she figured they would just think that she was going to see the Alphess. When she got a ways into Juthivar Cerberus then realized that she was lost. So she landed and decided to wait till she saw another dragon and ask them for directions to get there.
(moving on)
With the way that everyone was speaking around her, Silvera hurt both emotionally and physically. the fact that she was not currently able to provide for her clan was draining her, and the added fact that Adonis had disappeared now had hit her hard. In fact it almost felt as if dragons were purposely leaving her because they did not want to deal with either the responsibilities of the clan or just simply find her comely enough to stay with. For some reason though, it was very difficult for her to keep a mate. Granted it was proven that Zircon had been killed. The fact that Adonis had went missing worried her.
The constant burning and stinging from her wings also pained her. She could not fly properly, and there for right now could not even provide for the clan. her blood stained wings and the puss-filled blisters that lined her flight arm continued to burst as her wings moved. Each rupture sending another sharp jab of pain through her flight arms straight along her alar olecranon and the scapula draconis. The pain was even further driven by the fact that the bones themselves were not aligned properly, and Silvera knew what needed to be done in order to get them fixed so that she could fly the way that she had used to.
She had felt like she had lost everything though, Ryka was there for her. She listened as Ryka scorned her at first telling her to stop talking like she had already given up. Anyone who knew Silvera knew that she wasn't one to give up, but the amount of pain that she was in, for once she was actually considering it. At least until she heard Ryka tell her that she would never have to go flightless even if it mean Ryka giving her the wings from her own back. That instantly snapped Silvera back into her senses knowing fully that she would never allow that to be done for her. She would never be selfish enough to take the wings of another and make them flightless just so she could fly. The very idea made her stomach churn more than the pain and the horrendous odor from the puss had. I will never make another dragon go flightless just so that I can have the luxury of flying. I would never be able to carry that burden, and especially not forcing it on such a close friend, she responded
She watched though as she moved to the side as Shannon started to approach her now with a basket full of herbs. She also told her that she was confident that they would be able to heal her wings, and that There were a lot of poppy seeds in there as well as Thyme. With the two of them combined, it would definitely help ease her pain and help her sleep, but she knew that nothing short of being knocked out would help ease the pain of what was forth coming as she heard Cobra suggest that breaking her wings now would be the best idea so that they could be correctly healed as soon as possible. Silvera agreed, but more out of reluctance than anything else. She wanted to be able to fly again, but she was unsure if she would be able to bear the pain that would be bestowed upon her. She was hoping that someone could at least numb the wings first.
I agree with Cobra... The longer we wait to heal them correctly, the worse they will heal in the incorrect positions. breaking them and re-healing them now before they get any worse is the best thing to do. I just wished that someone would be able to numb them first so I don't get bombarded with quite as much pain from the ordeal.
She ate the herbs that Shannon had provided for her, and she felt the poppy almost instantly start taking effect, making her very drowsy. She looked to Cobra and Kodak who where moving into position to start the process of breaking her wings. You are insane Sil.... No sane dragon would ever let another willing break her wings. then again, this is a very different situation than most dragonesses are in... she thought to herself as she took a deep breath, and gave a nod for them to begin.
The only thing that Niradana could do through everything right now was watch and be emotional support for Silvera. She could not heal anything at all, and in fact, her magics could only make things worse. her energy magic would amplify any amount of pain that she would feel and risk her having a heart attack. No, keeping her alert through something like this was not the best thing to do. Nira would obviously feed her energy to keep her from falling into a dangerous state, but she wasn't going to keep her alert. she knew that if her wings were about to get completely shattered, she would want to be as numb as possible, and Silvera's comments only solidified that for her.
She listed as the others explained to Silvera what herbs they had and what needed to be done and when everything should be done. There was a little bit of discrepancy as to when the procedure should be done. The dragoness named Shannon whom Nira had remembered from the fight with the Jorthian, had mentioned that now would probably not be the best time to break or try to re heal the wings. she thought it would be better for Silvera to rest and let the pain ease first and them start in a couple days from the sound of it. When Cobra approached the topic, she told the mystically colored dragoness and Silvera that she felt that it would be better to get the procedure done and over with, and Silvera agreed. She also went on to say that the further the healing got delayed, the more out of position her wings would heal.
That was the most important thing too. If they healed out of position at all, it would limit her ability to fly or remove it from her completely. She knew Silvera, and in fact had heard her openly admit that she would rather be killed than to live without flight. She of course would never grant that particular wish. She would do whatever she could to find a way to let her fly again. She watched as both Cobra and Kodak moved into position to start breaking her wings. Silvera gave a nod for them to start asking if there was any way that they could numb her wings first so she didn't have to bear the full brunt of the pain. Nira was completely out of this situation as well. She hated being here and seeing her friend like this and not being able to help.
Stop talking like that Sil. It makes it sound like you've already given up hope." The other female's face by the name Ryka went in tears. I think I speak for most, if not all of us when I say none of us will let that happen to you. You saved my life a few years ago, and I'll be damned if you don't remember that night. There is no way we'll let you lose your ability to fly, and even if you've give up, I doubt we will. Shannon felt for Ryka, she felt the same way with Silvera. There was no way Shannon would give up on her Alphess. Even if they can't be healed, I will give you mine. Silvera stared, unsure and even sickened at the idea. I will never make another dragon go flightless just so that I can have the luxury of flying. I would never be able to carry that burden, and especially not forcing it on such a close friend.
Shannon dropped her supplies and explained giving her the necessary herbs. Cobra came closer, turning to Silvera. I advise you to eat the poppy seeds. I am also suggesting that we do this wing thing now. If it is ok with you that is. Silvera only nodded in reluctant agreement. Shannon turned at Cobra with a glare. Did no one hear what she said, the wings could wait. She knew that they are very important, she would rather die than live a life wingless. However, Silvera's health is more important, her strength would need to get better. Shannon said none of this however. She was about to say so but only managed to say one word. Bu... Silvera moved and interrupted her before she could really say anything. I agree with Cobra... The longer we wait to heal them correctly, the worse they will heal in the incorrect positions. breaking them and re-healing them now before they get any worse is the best thing to do. I just wished that someone would be able to numb them first so I don't get bombarded with quite as much pain from the ordeal.
Shannon turned to Silvera. I'm afraid I don't have enough herbs to numb the wings, just enough for the blisters and that. She answered through reluctance. The exotic beauty wished she had enough but she does not, if only she knew this would happen. All the healers, we need you around her. We also need a couple of you willing to break her wings. As soon as her wings are broken, we need people to heal her, and try to ease as much of her pain as possible. She said nothing as the dragons were getting into their places. Shannon sat near one wing, preparing herself to use her healing magic. She would need to do this carefully. Her smokey greens noticed Silvera lapping up the herbs.
Sil rejected Ryka's offer, saying she wouldn't make another go flightless so she could have the luxury of flight, and she couldn't bear to ask it of a friend. An argument sprang to Ryka's mind, involving something with still being able to hunt, but she bit it back. Sil wouldn't change her mind, and the last thing that was needed right now was for the two of them to start screaming at each other. Cobra said that they should break and re-heal Sil's wings now, before it got too much worse. Sil voiced her agreement, and said she just wished someone could numb her wings first. The dragoness who had brought the herbs, Shannon, apologized for not having enough for the wings. Cobra directed that healers should move to Sil's wings, and that some would have to be willing to break Sil's wings.
Ryka knew her forte wasn't in healing, and repairing a wing seemed like delicate work needed to be done by a master healer. However, she did know a trick to fading scars and healing surface cuts, and if she tried, she could try to lessen Silvera's pain. But it was a 50-50 shot, and the other 50 percent involved her magic healing something it wasn't supposed to and increasing Sil's pain. But it was a risk that she was going to take, it just meant she'd have to be careful. Ryka moved to the same wing that Shannon stood at, knowing that she was a stronger healer. I can handle most of less vital details, Ryka whispered to her. So you don't have to waste energy on them instead of focusing on the really important parts. Sound okay? Ryka started prepping her own magic as she waited for the signal. She didn't expect an answer from Shannon; it looked like she was already focusing intently. Ryka told herself that she needed to do the same, and began visualizing how to muscles and tendons would knit together relative to the bones in the wing. Healing Sil's skin would have to wait until the end, since shifting the bones might cause it to tear, and there was no sense in trying to heal it more than once.
Cobra gulped at the sight of Sil's wings, ready to get sick. She held it down though, knowing she couldn't chicken out now. Sil needed multiple people to be there, so the breaking happened faster, allowing them to heal faster while being careful. Cobra ignored the glare Shannon had given her, knowing they couldn't wait at all. She felt bad for going against the dragoness like that, but sometimes that's what you had to do. She agreed that Sil should be stronger, but it was true that they needed to do this as soon as possible.
She looked at Silvera, listening to her talk, wishing they had more herbs, and feeling completely horrible. Cobra didn't expect to have to do this on a visit to Sil, but she was glad she could help. Cobra and Sil had become close friends, and Cobra felt she should be here helping right now. Maybe that's why she felt the urge to come here today. She nodded back to Sil, knowing that now was the time. She looked at Sil's wings, willing her stomach to become stronger, and carefully took part of the wing in her hands. She saw the other dragons all in position and ready, and watched as Kodak did the same as her.
Ok, on the count of three, I am going to begin, I don't want anyone to hesitate too much, or else her pain will last longer then needed. I also advise that anyone who can, find a way to block your ears, because there will be a lot of roars of pain, and it could be painful to our ears. Now, ready? 1.... 2..... 3....! At three, she hesitated for a quick second so Sil could brace herself, and began the process of breaking her wings, getting her magic ready.
Posted Image
Kodak waited, staying completely silent, ready to do what he had to when the time was right. He ignored almost everything, knowing he might back out if he payed too much attention to the wings, or the suffering Sil was obviously going through, with the wings, and the thought of them being broken. He finally noticed the nod Sil gave them, and listened to Cobra intently, readying his paws around a spot he found he could gently grab.
He listened to her, saying that they couldn't hesitate, in fear that they would make Sil wait with more pain then need be. He also started to block out all sound, not wanting his eardrums to burst or anything, and hoping that what Sil had would be a decent amount to numb a good amount of her wing from the pain. Kodak readied his own healing magic, which he had worked on a lot in Kukiron, almost completely mastering it.
When Cobra said three and hesitated, he knew it was for a reason, and only began to gently snap when Cobra finally did, resisting the urge to jump back and run. He could slightly hear things, and the snapping was sending him through a loop. He kept himself planted though, knowing he couldn't back out now, definitely not now, since they had already started. He decided to look over at Nira, focusing on here while also on his work, hoping that the thought of her being there with them could help him ignore his nausea.
Dragon of the masters
Luthicia found herself closing onto the Juthivar plains very quickly after soaring over both the lake and the forest of Sunor. She knew that it would not be too long now before she got to take her revenge out on that Silver dragoness and every dragoness that had helped that bitch of a slave Nira get rid of her. What better way to do that than to take over the clan and use them only to serve her own sadistic fantasies? Oh the things that she would love to be able to do to those who worshiped the silver dragoness that was in the clan. She would love to turn the beautiful dragoness that is the alphess's daughter into nothing more than a breeding slut for the clan for any and every male within miles to come and claim. Just the thoughts of everything that she wanted to do with the clan made her even more anxious to go after the dragoness.
The closer she started to get to the clan's dwelling grounds, she started picking up on very sharp roars of pain. Music to my ears. the only unfortunate aspect of the event is that I'm not the one causing the pain, she thought to herself as she continued, the roars getting ever so louder with each wing beat. After a few moments, she was even able to recognize that not only were they roars of pain, but they were coming from her target, the silver dragoness. This made her both happy and infuriated at the same time. While she enjoyed hearing her suffer, the fact that she was roaring the way she was meant that someone else was inflicting the pain onto her. That was completely unacceptable. The silver dragon was her target and likewise sped up to try to reach the den before the silver had already been killed.
Silvera was about as uncomfortable as she could be. Her stomach was churning on the inside from both the rancid smell in the room and the fact that she was getting ready to experience an amount of pain that was going to push her to her breaking point. When Shannon said that she had enough herbs to numb the blisters but nothing else, Silvera groaned with a whimper. The dragoness that once did whatever she had to in order to remain strong for the clan was on the verge of breaking. The emotional strain on her at this point was unbearable and the physical pain that she was in was running in-stride with her. If she managed to survive this event, she definitely would not be the same dragoness.
With reluctance she watched as everyone started to take positions around her wings, and instantly Silvera was having second guesses about the procedure. The look of fear was ever present all over her. She was terrified of not only the pain that was coming, but also terrified of something going terribly wrong and rendering her completely flightless anyway. What would she do then? She would be completely useless to the clan, even more so than she already is now. A tear rolled it's way from the corner of her eye before she even felt a paw over her wing.
She heard Cobra start counting down before they would begin breaking her wings and it was set to the count of three. One... she heard closing her eye to force more of the fluid in her eyes out of the corner. Two... She felt the tear start rolling down her face and line along her jaw bone. Three... The room went silent with a hesitation. The only sound that could be heard was the sound of her tear coming into contact with the hard wooden floor beneath them. Then with little warning, searing lines of pain shot up her wings as both Cobra and Kodak both starting shattering the bones in her wings. A loud roar echoed through the area after each twist and crack of her wings.
The floor was a mess. Every blister that had been intact in her wing had now busted and had spilled it's contents out letting them roll off her wings to the floor, blood quickly taking the place of the puss. The metallic smelling liquid began dripping and flowing off of her, and the only thing that she could do was whither in pain while she was waiting for someone to begin at least trying to suppress the pain but no one was.
Finally after what felt like an eternity, she could feel the pain starting to subside albeit slightly in her left wing as she felt Kodak release the magic into her. It was a welcome relief as the initial shock, pain, and overall fear had cause her to release a different type of liquid into the room, the smell of urine quickly mixing with that of the blood. She couldn't even feel the flow over the immense pain that she was feeling. the only thing she wanted right now was for this to be done and over with.
She cried continually throughout the process. The pain bombarding her was too much, and after another couple minutes of feeling the bones in her wings being snapped repeatedly, Silvera blacked out and collapsed into the pool of intermingled fluids that she had created.
Niradana couldn't bear to watch as her Alphess, and her mate started going to work on Silvera's wings. To see Silvera in this position was bad enough for her, but to watch as something as delicate as this to be done to her and have to be able to bear hearing her cry out in pain as well was something that Niradana was not ready to cope with. Right as Cobra and Kodak started taking their positions, the entire scene changed. Everything went black for a brief second. She was still completely alert, but what Nira saw, was completely different than what was happening in front of her.
The temperature outside was bone-chilling cold, and the purple dragoness had been stalking this dragoness for days. The smell of newly hatched wyrmlings had drawn her to the area as if she were a bee being attracted to honey. Resting in the distance was a very large dome-shaped ice structure that appeared to be molded out of the glacier itself around it. Coming out of the entrance the dragoness watched as a beautiful silver and gold colored wyrmling come running out of the den. Within an instant however the dragoness saw something else. The dragoness saw another dragoness, no not another dragoness, it was her! She was watching herself from a past memory!
She watched as her older self under Luthicia's control dove and clamped onto the wyrmling as the silver dragoness ran out after her and pursued. Niradana watched her old self drop the wyrmling that was still unable to fly as she turned and shredded the mother's wings and used her magic to bind her and her mate to the ground. A snicker escaped from her as she heard her old form, the form that Luthicia controlled, telling the dragoness, which was the same Silvera as that was in the room in her old body, that she was just going to carry off the wyrmling to dine on casually, but because she fought back, she was going to destroy her.
Without any remorse the Luthicia version of herself lifted the barely alive wyrmling off of the ground and positioned herself right above the dragoness. the dragoness started heaving, and with the final screams and squeals of the wyrmling in her claws ripped the young hatchling into two letting his blood and insides wash over the dragoness below before consuming him one half at a time right in front of her....
A sharp roar of pain snapped Niradana out of her horrid memory and back into reality. She was about to lose it. Silvera didn't deserve this. A dragoness as loving and caring as her should not have to suffer through his much pain and agony. I'm the one that should be in that position.... she said in a disheartened voice. She walked to the mouth of the den and watched outside to make sure no one disturbed them. She could at least do that. Her own emotions starting to boil over from the vivid and disturbing memory that she had just been forced to relive. After everything I've done to curse this world.... I should be the one that should be suffering instead of her. She's never done anything wrong and is always rewarded by getting deeply hurt... She said hanging her head.
As she got ready to close her eyes to sob though, she caught something out of the corner of her eye. She looked up to see what it was. She was startled by what she saw. She was a distance away yet, but right there in front of them was Luthicia, and she was heading straight for them. Shit... shit... shit... Shit!!! SHIT!!!! She yelled turning back to everyone, EVERYONE THAT CAN FIGHT, WE HAVE COMPANY!!!! She yelled taking off from the den.
Shannon readied herself, keeping her emotions deep inside so she wouldn't feel them. She breathed, making herself more comfortable and ready to work. The exotic beauty didn't want to make any mistakes. She tried to remember all of what Neptune told her and relied on that. I can handle most of less vital details, Shannon heard Ryka whisper to her. So you don't have to waste energy on them instead of focusing on the really important parts. Sound okay? She said nothing but simply nodded to show she had heard. That helps a lot, she didn't look around to see who else would be helping and simply ignored what they say. However when Cobra spoke, she heard and knew when to start. Ok, on the count of three, I am going to begin, I don't want anyone to hesitate too much, or else her pain will last longer then needed. I also advise that anyone who can, find a way to block your ears, because there will be a lot of roars of pain, and it could be painful to our ears. Now, ready? 1.... 2..... 3....! Shannon waited for the breaking and when it started she heard Silvera cry. She forced herself to ignore it and started to mend the bones in the right places. Shannon sorrowfully thought if she had been helping Zil that night instead of fighting, Silvera would have gone through this. She was after all a healer and it was her duty but she ignored that duty that night. Nira roared but she didn't hear what she said nor did she turn to look, helping Silvera was her top priority right now, nothing else. She isn't going to make that same mistake.
Phoenix ran as fast as he could, dodging through the trees and trying not to hurt them at the same time as hurrying forward. In spite his efforts however the beast was still so far ahead. He came out of the trees, deep into the Clan's territory. He found the tree and the creature close to it. Phoenix realized that he won't be able to make it in time to warn the dragons or his comrades. He thought he is going to have to do it in his own hands. The memories of his failure to protect his own Clan those years before burned his heart like a deep scar that just wouldn't fade or stop hurting him. Phoenix, snarled and leaped, flapping his butterflyish shaped wings as hard as he could and dashed forward. He roared loud, one of those roars in his own that makes those alarms, making their voices as loud as an explosion to warn the others. Phoenix fired his fire magic at the creature in fireballs to get its attention away from the tree and to him. He is not going to let what happened to his Clan happen to this Clan, even if that meant he has to die.
~Ryka~
Ryka saw Shannon nod her head just before Cobra began explaining the method of how they would break Sil's wings. It'd be a count of three, and anyone who knew how should block their ears because there would be a lot of roaring. Ryka knew no method, so she merely steeled her nerves for it. The hardest part would be to keep the memories back away, but she could do it and still heal Sil's wings. Cobra began counting down to break Sil's wings and Ryka took a deep breath to steady herself. The crunch made her stomach flip, but Ryka held tight to what she had to do. She sent her magic to the popped blisters first, hoping to remove any infections there first. If they got into the bone marrow, the least they would do would be to ravage Silvera's health more. She next focused on knitting together shredded tendons, trying to make as little scar tissue as possible. She was searching the muscles for large tears when she heard Nira swear loudly and roar that they would need fighters, for they had company. Ryka swore silently in her head, losing focus for just long enough to have to regather her magic. A fight now was not what they needed, with Sil in this condition and a second alphess here. If they got hurt, or even killed, there was the potential for a war.
~Escyda~
Esca wasn't sure what told her that the red dragoness had ill intent. Maybe it had been the way the dragoness was flying, fast but not worried, maybe it was just an excuse to fight, maybe it was a gut instinct. It had just felt like a stone hanging tight on her heart, as if she was back in the prison again. That unbridled, unhidden malevolence and want to hurt. Before she had realized it, she had been following her, taking a route along the ground. Esca didn't care if the red had noticed another dragoness heading for the same direction. It quickly became obvious that they were heading for the heart of the Juthivar clan, and Esca abandoned her somewhat restrained route so to get there as soon as she could. After sprinting towards the Great Tree for what felt like only a few minutes, Esca found herself at the base. She took a moment to survey the situation use her energy magic to relieve some of her fatigue. The red dragoness was not far from the tree, and a purple dragoness was flying towards the red. Another red dragon with butterfly styled wings had shot what appeared to be orbs of fire magic at the red dragoness to get her attention, an almost suicidal move. Esca growled low in her throat. This didn't feel like it would be an ordinary fight. Ignoring her heart's still rapid beating in her ribcage, she ran forward and prepared to launch into the air, hoping to be of some use.
Dont mess with an angry youngling or else you will get bitten
Cerberus saw a red dragoness flying towards a huge tree. She decided to follow her but kept her distance. Cerberus then saw a red dragon use his fire magic to try and get the attention of the dragoness. What is going on here? Cerberus wondered to herself. She then saw a purple dragoness flying towards the red dragoness that she was following. If she is their enemy I hope they don’t think that I am with her. If they do am I going to be able to explain it to them that I don’t know her? Unable to think of a reasoning for them to not think that she was with the red dragoness. Cerberus decided to pick up speed and try and get around the red dragoness and get to the red dragon that used his fire magic.
What is going on? Cerberus asked still not know what is going on with the attack on the red dragoness.
Cobra continued to break Sil's wing, sending her healing magic in after, going as fast as possible without screwing up. She couldn't screw up, not now. Not after Sil's wings were already screwed up once. Cobra wouldn't be able to handle it if she messed her wings up again, disabling her flight for good. She ignored all the puss and blisters, not wanting to get sick. She took small breaths, not wanting to smell the air too much unless it could make her feint.
When she heard Nira saying they had company, and that anyone who could fight should get out there, she could feel her heart beating faster and faster. They had company, while there were two alphess's in here, neither able to fight. If Cobra wasn't careful, she could easily die, leaving her mate and eggs behind. Also, if that beast got both of them, what would she do with the clans? She could have two clans in her control, and wouldn't that make it easy for her to take over the third clan?
She shook her head and sighed in relief as she did the last break, healing that part and making sure everything was healed right. When she looked over, she saw that Kodak seemed to be struggling between fighting and the wing. If he stayed, he could jeopardize the wing, and Cobra knew he wanted to fight, protect his alphess and mate. She ran over to him and nudged him away, taking over with her healing magic and continuing his slow process. She put Luthicia the the back of her mind, focusing mainly on this now.
Kodak was starting to get queasy doing this, his stomach doing summer-salts. He hated this feeling, and he froze momentarily when he heard Nira, wanting to go out there with his mate so badly, but knowing he couldn't leave Sil's wings. He continued, trying not to vomit from the smell. He envied Cobra and how well she seemed to be taking this, and let out a small surprised gasp when Cobra nudged him away and completely took over.
He gave a curt nod and stood at the entrance, seeing others already trying to gain on her. He stood there protectively, ready to do anything to protect his mate, and his alphess. He didn't bother going to Nira, knowing he wouldn't be able to stop her, and he knew she wanted to help. Wanted to help get rid of the beast that had her for so long.
He stood there, growling and ready to protect the dragons in here with his life. He was only slightly tired from the breaking and healing, since he couldn't do much. He could feel the adrenalin start to kick in as he got impatient, ready to fly out if he needed to, but trusting them to take care of the problem before it go to them.
Dragon of the masters
Luthicia was speeding through the plains trying to get to the tree. The roars were getting louder so she knew that with each beat she was getting closer. Right when she started to pass what she estimated to be the halfway point between her and the tree though, she heard the roaring stop. Dammit, I will not be denied this luxury! she thought to herself as she tried to push herself forwards. Just as she did, she noticed a violet dragoness jump from the upper level of the tree and start flying towards her. She didn't need an introduction to know who that bitch was. It was her previous host Niradana. She was going to savor this fight for as long as possible. She started to accelerate even more not even seeing the fireballs that was launched towards her.
The first fireball whizzed right past her head causing her to stop mid-flight to look to see where it came from. She managed to turn just in time to a second fireball hit her square in the side causing her altitude to drop rapidly. The force of the impact from the fireball caused her to roll slighting and no matter how she flailed her wings, she could not regain control of her descent. Finally right as it seemed that she was going to slam into the ground her wings caught the air beneath them and she pushed herself back up into the sky. At this point Niradana had closed a substantial amount of distance between them. Her side stung with each beat of her wing, the wound on her side greater than she though. She figured she had a bit before the others would reach her so she decide to land and inspect her wounds.
She landed in the golden grasses of the plains, and instantly she notice that the golden grass around her right side started shimmering in a crimson liquid. The wound underneath her wing was far from fatal, but would definitely be irritating as her scales had been seared, and the flesh there had been burnt through the first layer. The only way that she could tell that she was bleeding was from the grass. The crimson flow of blood matched perfectly to the color of her scales. She still never managed to see where the fireballs came from, however at this point she didn't care. She was laying in waiting for the purple dragoness that had closed in on her and had landed only about twenty feet away.
Niradana didn't even wait for anyone else to respond. In fact, she didn't care if anyone else did. She had a personal vendetta against the dragoness in front of her. It was the demon that had completely tortured and ruined her life. every night she still has nightmares about what that demon has made her do. She was relishing the opportunity to make her pay for everything that she caused her.
As she was approaching though she watched the demon get pinged with fireballs from behind and drop from the sky. Oh no you don't! she yelled in her mind, She's mine. For the first time in her actual existence she felt the sinister evil inside of her take over. This time she didn't care. she had one target. One target that she could heartlessly kill and it not affect her at all.
Niradana was in range of the dragoness on the ground and landed a good ten yards from her.
At least, it's just you and me. None of your stupid minions or mind tricks.
I don't need to use mind tricks on you Nira, you are too easy for me to worry about. You were my host, I know every strength and weakness that you have.
Likewise Luthicia. I do not fear you, and I know that I can beat you, and I have been waiting for this day every since I got you out of my damn body!
And I have been waiting to put your pathetic excuse of a dragon out of existence ever since you screwed me over. Luthicia scorned as the two dragonesses charged each other.
The Hidden Past
Shannon ignored everything that was happening around her. Her mind and instincts screamed at her to look around, she urged to do so and see why one of the dragons stopped breaking the wings and backed off. She wanted to know, half of herself wanted to. Yet she didn't. Shannon knew all too well that she has Silvera's life in her paws. Ever since she hatched and learned that she has the magic of healing that her first duty was to heal. Neptune always told her even if you are weak with exhaustion or terribly hurt that you must always ignore everything around you and your own well being to help the one that is in need. Shannon never really understood that. She was much too much like her mother, Nanuk was a warrior and that is who Shannon is, she is a fighter and a protector. This will be my last duty as healer...
One tiny second she removed a tiny part of her concentration on the wings to look at Silvera's face. Silvera had went through so much, too much. She never deserved this. Shannon put back her concentration on healing, mending the bones Cobra broke to the right positions. The exotic dragoness was almost done her first wing, next she would have to work on the second wing. Shannon could feel her energy draining, she's using so much of her energy to block her five senses from the world and using every bit of her magic to help Silvera. Her smokey green eyes narrowed and her body began to sweat, she panted slightly. Shannon is not going to give up, even that means if the threat outside manages to get in here she will protect Silvera with her life. Silvera gave her refuge, a family, a purpose to live. It was Shannon's fault that her alphess got in this condition. Shannon is willing to put her life on the line to make sure Silvera flies again.
He managed to hit the creature with his second fire bolt. Phoenix flapped his wings, still going the fast flight. The red creature roared and started to fall. It was then when he got closer to it that he realized that the creature looked like a dragon, he managed to get its scent, a female. Phoenix blinked, flapped and flew above the red dragoness. He hovered and watched as the red dragoness almost crashed in the ground. For a moment he wondered if he had done the right thing. Maybe... the dragoness had just went to visit Silvera like the others. Still before he had sensed great evil in that dragoness. It was so great it clouded his eyes and nose, giving the stink of decease but not as well, it was a smell that you don't want to set your nose on. At home in his father's studies in books, humans long ago wrote things in small sheets. The dragons in Surdia looked after the books they found and were still well. It held many disturbed things. One said about demons that could take over another creature and use it like a parasite would, using the creature as its host.
He had never smelled something like this, but as he remembered his father had explained it to him, told him that it wasn't a legend and his grandfather had fought and destroyed a dragon similar to this. It had come to reason that dragons in Surdia have unique noses, ever since Phoenix left his home and met different dragons other than his breed he found their noses weren't the same as his. But he wondered if it was more to it than that.
Phoenix stopped his thoughts at once. Now wasn't the time to wonder. He stared as the purple dragoness... Nira, his comrade attack the red dragoness. Phoenix could see in her eyes that she wants no one to get in her way. It was a sense of something he knew too well. At that he noticed two dragonesses flying in the sky. One dragoness flew near him. What is going on? I don't rightly know. I just know that red dragoness is not a dragon. Don't ask me why because I don't know how to explain and this isn't the time. He answered the beautiful black dragoness. Phoenix took a second to realize that the black dragoness is another member of Kukiron, his comrade. Quickly Cerberus, we must land near the tree and protect it from the red dragoness. Nira will handle it for now. Without waiting he turned and started flying near the entrance of where Nira came out of. He noticed Kodak standing at the entrance and landed on a higher branch near the other male. Kodak. Do you know what is happening?
